xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxEvie is good at getting what she wants, when she wants and she usually doesn't have to use force to get it. She's got a mind that houses an unprecedented amount of knowledge and she doesn't use it on anything academic. No, Evie puts her mind to work for something she considers more practical; swindling people out of money. She's great at calculating risks and even greater at playing games with people. She won't use her mind for just money purposes either. Piss her off enough, and Evie will ruin your life with a smile on her face and your best friend hanging off your arm. She's not an enemy you'd wish to make.

If Evie's heart was cold as stone, perhaps her genius and charisma could be far more dangerous than it is at the moment. As it stands, however, the young vampire loves making real friends and having relationships. She's flirty by nature, has a good sense of humor, and naturally warms up to people easily. As much as she can ruin your entire life, it's very difficult to piss Evie off to that degree and she's only come across a few people who managed to screw up that royally. When it comes to other misdemeanors and wrong-doings, she's very quick to forgive and will gladly forget everything you've done as long as you haven't completely enraged her. She's loyal to a fault and will stand with her friends no matter what, even if they're terribly wrong.

All in all, Evie isn't the worst person you could meet in your life and if you happen to love trouble-makers, perhaps she's the best person you could meet.

◝ xx♛▐┊Evie's a small little thing, standing at around 5'0" (though she'll tell everyone she's 5'2" ) at 94 pounds. She has a skinny waist, tiny shoulders, and an almost non-existent backside. Straight, black hair falls just between her shoulder blades and covers her forehead with a fringe, which almost touches her glasses. Her eyes are almost the same color as her hair, but with a bluer tone to them. Underneath her left eye is a small tattoo of spade (the card suite, not the tool you silly slag). Her skin is pale, as she rarely goes outside, but unmarred by any scars or other disfigurements.

Though it's not part of her physical appearance, you will surely notice Evie's accent when you meet her. The strong Yorkshire accent can be a little off putting to some people, but usually it just endears people... until they realize she speaks just like anyone else from Yorkshire; without a G-rated filter.

◝ xx♛▐┊To say that Evie is smart is an understatement. The girl is a downright genius when it comes to well... every academic subject (namely math), though this can sometimes be viewed as a bad thing since she doesn't put this genius to use in a way that most view worth-while. She's a trouble-maker and a swindler, it's really as simple as that. She loves playing games and cheating the system and people out of money, as she views it as a challenge as well as a hobby. She always has cards up her sleeves, as well as other places so that she's never caught, but she usually doesn't need them. Her photographic memory allows her to pick the best cards should she have the option, thus making the secrets in her sleeves useless to her.

Evie is a bit of a flirt... well, okay, more than a bit. The girl has a bad habit of hitting on anything that catches her eye, regardless of their relationship status, and that can land her in quite a bit of trouble. Witty one-liners and innuendos are commonly heard escaping her lips and they're usually always followed by a giggle... or a slap. Slapping her will do nothing for you, however, as Evie's smile will just grow as a result. Why? Because the girl is a bit of a masochist as well as a flirt. What a combination right? She does, however, know when the line is drawn. If you ask her to stop, she will in an instant and no more flirty words will be directed towards you. She's cognoscente of people's space, so at least she has that going for her.

Something else she has going for her is her warm-heart. Evie loves her friends and loved ones to death and will do anything for them. When you're her friend, you can trust her with any secret you have and she will not whisper a word of it to absolutely anyone. She will trust you with everything she has if you're her friend and always be on your side, however wrong you may be. She may not be the kindest person out there, but she is certainly one of the most loyal friends a person could ever have. Period.

◝ xx♛▐┊Evie has never had a home, nor has she ever had parents. She was born to a homeless woman with nothing to her name, to a father she had never met, and to a city that didn't give two shits if she died tomorrow. Her mother abandoned her before she was even a year old and to this day, even with her great memory, Evie cannot remember her face. She grew up with a boy named William Clarkson who was seven years older than her, a boy who had been through far too much in his younger years and didn't want the young girl to go through the same thing. So, he took on the role that a parent would usually be thrust into and made sure Evie got everything she needed to survive.

When Evie was old enough to walk and talk, William began to steal books for her so the girl wouldn't be as illiterate as he was. He knew that he couldn't teach her everything, but he knew people who could if she got that far. To his surprise, however, Evie didn't need teachers. She only needed to know the basics of reading and a dictionary to learn and by the time she was seven, she was almost reading at a college level. Among the other homeless individuals, she was like a little starlet, as most of them could barely read or write. When she began asking William about math and science, wondering aloud what they were, William decided to steal those books for her as well and watched as she immersed herself in her studies.

By the time Evie was thirteen, she began getting offers from universities that had heard of her genius, but she scorned them all (much to William's chagrin). When asked why she refused to go to school, Evie would simply tell her guardian that she didn't want to. She wanted to stay here with him and wanted to use her skills as she saw fit, not as a school saw fit. She liked problem solving on the fly and loved the danger of messing with people, so she decided to take up a less than legal hobby; swindling. The young girl would sit outside of bars and wait for drunken individuals to stop and play Find the Lady with her or cards, depending on the night. She was great as slipping things under her sleeves and even better at distracting people while she moved things around. Most people would mutter to themselves as they walked away empty handed, always blaming themselves for their loss, but every now and again she'd come across someone who would openly accuse her of cheating. When calmly asked if they had proof, most people would mutter and walk away anyways, but a handful had tried to explain how she did what she did. Only two had ever been correct and one of them just so happened to be William while they were playing cards one night (not for money, of course).

Things were looking up for them. Evie was happy, William was able to buy the occasional thing for himself instead of for her, and they both enjoyed each other's company. Unfortunately, the cheerful times had to come to an end. Evie and William had been just walking one night, as the sky had been clear after a particularly good rain, when they were jumped. Two people held down William and one held Evie, the leader of the group shouting something about money. Not having any on them at the time, William told them that there was none, only to receive an angered look by the leader. With her lips pursed, the woman told her two cronies to take Evie instead.

Everything after that was a blur. Evie felt a sharp pain on the back of her head as someone hit her and she struggled to stay conscious, though her vision began to fade. William was yelling, as were the other three around her. She remembered hearing breaking bones followed by the gurgled screams of the leader before the cronies let go of her arm and she crumpled to the ground. William killed another one of them, his fists a blur as he landed punch after punch before he suddenly stopped. A knife was sticking out of his chest as the final man fell and he looked at Evie. She remembered crying and trying to crawl towards him, remembered trying to apologize and beg him to not die. He managed to crawl next to her, his face whitening as blood poured out of the wound, and with his final breath he gathered her in his arms.

Evie didn't know how long she had laid there. She tried to wake him up, acting like a child when he wouldn't. "C-c'mon W-will.... wake up." She had put her hands on his chest, the knife between her splayed fingers when it hit her. She didn't know how long she had cried or when she had passed out. All she knew was that when she woke up, she was laying in a hospital with clean clothes on. She hugged her pillow and tried to tell herself it was all a dream, though she knew better than that.

She had no visitors while she was in the hospital, which is what really hurt her the most. The then fourteen year old girl missed holding William's hand and found that she wanted nothing more than to hear him scold her one last time. Or praise her. She was thinking of the latter when she began dialing Z-academy's number. It had been the school William had freaked out about the most, as she would have been with kids her own age if she was there, so she went for it. She couldn't help but feel guilty, however, that William would never see her go.....

She felt guilty about quite a bit, actually.
