And I don't know how to help them. gonk I mean, I have depression, too, but our lives aren't the same, so my advice isn't going to be 100% applicable. But the strangest thing is that most of them are all gay males (myself included): I wonder if it's because we're gay that we have depression...?

I just wish that I could help them in some way. Giving advice and talking to someone who might understand is, of course, helpful and alleviating. Trying to help them get to the source of that depression is the cure. However, that's not always easy, and even if we can identify what it is and how to get past it, it's not always easy to get rid of it completely. Depression is a life-long uphill war...

just tell them you love them
tell them to seek help from therapy and psychiatrists
be a good friend
and this will fix itself
