I don't actually mind Attack on Titan. I mean, it was super hyped, and I expected a lot more from it, but... It's still not the worst I've seen. Then again, the rabid kind of fans can easily put you off of a lot of s**t. Like, I don't watch a lot of shows/keep up with games anymore because the fanbase is just out of control, and ruin s**t.

But are you talking about Free? That's another anime I haven't seen. Some people have told me it's good, but then others say it's trash. Which I would lean more toward. I kind of find it hard to see how any sort of sports based show can go on for more than one season and not be... I mean, how many episodes can you have with them going to a game/meet before it gets old? [/shot]

TOTALLY agree about fanbases ruining stuff

I also kinda have to like...watch something of my own accord
People tell me to go watch stuff and I'm like "kay"
And then like... a year later, I decide I'm going to watch it
EVEN if it's something that I've wanted to watch forever + recommendations

Like Breaking Bad for example. I didn't watch it until the show was over + months after that
LOVE IT. But yeah, super late to the game, so to speak.

Oh, don't get me wrong I loved Attack on TItan
when I first started watching it.
I actually picked up the manga to read ahead for a while.
And did a cosplay blah blah blah
but I made the mistake of being active in the
fanbase writing fanfics/roleplaying doing cosplay s**t etc.

and... and it just turned into such a... pubescent drama scene
e.e
and then I got bored with the story
and the writer started making sell-out changes
to please his fans

Free is exactly what I was talking about.
It's basically a homoerotic-subtext anime
that makes diving into a pool look like some ********
Magical Girl transformation stuff
and apparently there's some s**t about
spirit animals or
idk >_> that's the impression I drew from
some gifs n art I saw from it

It's a waste of time.
It's 100% bored housewife romance novel level trash

But most of my knowledge of it, is
listening/reading other ppl talk about it
I couldn't even make it through one episode
tbh

i'm not much of an anime watcher myself either aha
i prefer reading the manga over watching the anime
and i agree with attack on titan; the animation is beautiful and i enjoyed it
but then when i started reading the manga it just turned into a s**t show LOL

if anyone's already started their posts, the way i'm going about it is this:

fumei arrives in edo together (or not together, up to you) near the start of
obon knowing that s**t is going to go down. bel gives them orders
to do whatever they want (go eat, drink be merry bros) until they receive
a "message" on the day the party's ganna begin.

this message would come in the form of writing on an object your character
would be sure to notice. so.. if kami's been meditating under a waterfall
somewhere, it could appear on a stone he would notice from his vantage point.
IDK MAN. just an example.
it's more bel's style to paint an ominous symbol on a recognizable object,
but a lot of people have already posted & i don't want to disrupt the flow.

as for what the message actually says, that's up to you. it would be personalized
for each member so you're free to make up how you would see bel talking to your
char. also, his handwriting is probably composed of unfamiliar oni pictograms and
old-a** characters that have been outdated for millennia. js, his writing sux.

that's all i got. - v-); if someone wants to add, feel free.

some really crack bel notes:

(instead of "ryuu", he gets a p***s pictogram)

I should really watch it again myself. I remember liking it, at least. xD

I'm usually not too into 'real life' type things. I'm more into fantasy and sci-fi. So the first episode didn't really grab my attention. Seemed like it'd be going in a mob/gangster direction, so I noped away from it. [/shot] But it is on Hulu (and they thankfully have the dub,) so maybe I'll give it another shot when I've got the time.

And lulz. I can definitely get that way. When friends tell me to watch something, I'm usually "okay, sure. Later..." And then rarely ever get around to it... Unless, yeah, I've suddenly got the urge to on my own. Pressure doesn't work.

I love movies. GOOD movies.
But uhm, if I had to narrow down the categories, probably Fantasy/Sci-Fi/Drama
I think the last good movie I saw was The Martian. and Inside Out.
But yeah, I'm pretty picky. I'm really into the sweet Late 1970s–2000ish era where special effects makeup, real sets and costuming reign supreme over CGI
lyke Star Wars, Alien/Aliens, The Dark Crystal, Legend
And then I kind of have some go-to directors, like Darren Aranovsky, David Fincher, Christopher Nolan
Love pretty much everything they've made

And yus, I'm all caught up on GoT
End of last season also killed me.
I haven't reallly found much of GoT boring, maybe a bit of season 2.
But yeah, soooo ready for more to come out

Hannibal is my stuff. @ v @;;
I haven't seen the second/third season,
but from the entirety of the first season - yes pls.
I especially liked that inventive episode
where they buried these bodies and used
a tube for their breathing poking above ground,
while sedating them and growing lethal s**t from
their "grave"~ real cool bro * v * //weird

but cancelled? this cannot be so! D:
they cancel everything good like Witches of East End~

As for the anime shtuff, I've never watched Attack on Titan
mainly because of the fan base and graphics (just not feeling the giants).
They really do ruin things for people by being too dramatic and
hie-hoe about everything. Dx

We haven't honestly gone too in depth with
what's going to happen towards the end aside from
fire (a lot of fire) being the thing that brings down
the Misaki as purification and Cap volunteered for Bel being
