Would you be interested in joining an online community where casual artists can sell and auction commissions, adoptables, and other limited-quantity creations
and collaborate on larger scale projects with other artists (artbooks, collab commissions, etc.)? I'm envisioning an ebay-like site for artists, but more visually
appealing and more community-based. I was working on this idea as a project, but I'm seriously thinking of building it out and scaling.
What about payments? For artists and commissioners, I know there's problems with the way payments are done on both sides. Artists run into the problem
of not getting paid, and commissioners pay for a commission and wait for months without any update on their commission progress. How would you like this changed?
Would a pay-as-you-go ( "project completion" ) basis work better?

the website's an awesome idea. I think, for a payment option plan, should be pay-as-you-go. So after the bid is over, the buyer pays like 1/4 up front, then after the scetches are done, they pay another 1/4, then after the lines are done, pays 1/4, then after the finished product is done, pays the rest + any tip or extra they feel the artist deserves (the tip thing would only be after the completed art is done to give the artist incentive to finish it). If for any reason the buyer stops paying, for example he's only paid for half the art, and the artist has only done that much, the artist wouldn't have to continue. Basically, you get what you pay for.
