In all honesty I blame tumblr for a lot of s**t that goes on these days when it comes to social rights and whatnot.
Personally I don't see the harm in having preferences or things you look for in a person.
That's just what they are, preferences.
It's not like you're condemning who ever doesn't fit the bill, and it's not like you won't absolutely not date a person that doesn't meet the qualifications.

I just wish people would stop their belly aching about this kind of stuff.
If it upsets you so much that someone prefers dark hair and light eyes then either do something about it or move on.
It's also not guaranteed that the person won't date you just 'cause you don't have the qualities they like.

And I'm rambling again, sorry.
