Capital of Hearthfire - Morkai's Reach
Geographical look of Hearthfire
geography/landscape: While its valleys are covered in vegetation and look much like its southern ally the majority of the region is heavily mountainous with sparsely packed trees, and is covered in snow almost all year round.
culture: Sexuality and gender roles are not bothered with as survival is harsh in Hearthfire. The people are all trained for war, both men and women alike trained in the use of a weapon.
religion: Belief in multiple deities, but there are five in particular that are commonly followed;
Grimnar - The 'King of The North' Grimnar is seen as the High King of the gods, leading them as a wise and powerful ruler. It is claimed he was the one who killed the Great White Wolf of the North and Captured the Golden Dragon
Neifelheim. He is the God of War, Peace, Safe Travel and Winter
Rozen - Shield Maiden of Grimnar, she is seen as the master of the Wyrm and Dragon kin, many of the riders are loyal to her and are often heard shouting war cries in her name. She is also the main Deity to many of the female warriors, the Shield Maidens in particular. Goddess of Fire, Dragons, Wyrms and Shield Maidens
Bal'thur - God of the Forge, All craftsman are loyal to him. It was he who forged the great axe that fell the Great White Wolf and his Shackles that bound the great golden dragon. There is a mastered forge in Morkai's Reach that never seems to burn out or change temperature. It is known as the Mouth of Neifelheim and in front of it lies an ancient Iron Anvil known as the Tomb of Bal'thur. God of the Forge, Iron, Summer, Artisans and Blacksmiths
Morkai - The Black Wolf of Death, to see him is a bad omen of things to come. Many kingdoms that have fallen have claimed to see a wolfs head in the rolling smoke or in the dark storms at night. He is spoken of in hushed tones and many blame him for any negative thing that befalls a kingdom or person. God of Death, Chaos, Disease, Destruction
Nocturna- Despite her Dark appearence Nocturna is the Wife of Grimnar and the High Seer. Many of the Shamans, Seers, and Alchemists refer to her as their chief deity. She is known to pass on visions of things to come and to help in the healing arts, some say she is also the chosen of the slain, deciding who will be cast down to Morkai's Den and who will be chosen to join the Great Hall of the Fallen. Goddess of the Slain, Future, Healing, Night, and the Harvest
