The gist of this game:
This game works pretty much like Connect Four does, except I've added my demented little twist to it.
Instead of a two-player game, this becomes a mad free-for-all wherein everyone wants to make the winning move.

This game works pretty much like Connect Four does, except I've added my demented little twist to it.
Instead of a two-player game, this becomes a mad free-for-all wherein everyone wants to make the winning move.
Specific rules:
- We begin every round with an empty 7x6 grid, like so:
-------
-------
-------
-------
-------
-------
-------
-------
-------
-------
-------
Because using color tags is a pain, especially within the code tags, we instead resort to using different letters, namely X and O. The first to make a move in every round is X. Moves alternate between X and O. You do not necessarily stick to one letter, but move according to what the last poster moved; if the previous poster played X, you play O, and vice versa.
No pieces get stuck in midair. Meaning, you must place your "piece" in the lowest unoccupied row of your chosen column. Similarly, you cannot place a piece in a column that is already full, or outside the seven columns in the grid.
A round ends when there are four consecutive pieces of the same letter horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. In case this happens, the winner should leave in his/her post a new, blank grid for the next poster to work with, just after the winning grid. The winner should also PM me so I can add them to the list of winners. I also may give him/her a small prize at my discretion (and if my funds/creativity allow it), but those who beg for one will be ignored.
A round also ends if there are no more possible moves, i.e., the grid has been filled. In this case there are no winners, and a new round begins. The last to move for that round must also leave a new, blank grid for the next poster to start.
It would be recommended you reserve your post to avoid the ill-effects of swooshing. However, please do not take too long to decide on a move.
List of past winners:
- Rock_hard_yo - April 16, 2013 - Team X
DSCH - April 29, 2013 - Team X
killer_purple_froggy - April 22, 2014 - Team O (wow, it's been almost a year, and an O too!)
That's all! Happy gaming! Let the madness begin!
