Do you believe it is possible for someone to be asexual but still have strong feelings emotionally for someone.
Pretty simple post wanted people's thoughts on it.

Yes, although it really does depend on the individual. I know an asexual who's married. He still occasionally has sex to keep his other half happy, and does genuinely love her, but she's quite happy with his 'mehness' and general disinterest in sex.

As humans are not the only animal with the functional traits of sex, it is not solely a "human thing".

I am not asexual but I understand what you mean and I can agree on your ideas. There is psychological intimacy.

arrow Bathing/grooming each other.
arrow Being comfortable with being nude/exposed and trusting them.
arrow Trusting them when impaired or disabled; wheelchair bound, blind, without glasses, any form honestly.
arrow Physical contact past what one would do with friends other than cuddling such as touching the upper arms, neck, face, feet, or any body part that is normally covered with clothing.
