How do I get rid of the achievements case under my avi?

Sorry for the dumb question but I can't find where to go to make it not show up under my avi in all my posts.

Go to your achievements page scroll down a little and click the little x to remove the achievement icons.

My Gaia > Achievements

Scroll down; to the right of the page you'll see the widget to adjust your displayed achievements. Drag the ones that are in there out, and you're good to go.
