The 1 million gold thing puts your username in a drawing to be drawn. You only get the 1 million gold if your UN is drawn...

I just had this happen to me :/
A Bubble apeared and said something like "Congratulations you just won a special prize, click here to claim the prize"

The link got me to a faked gaia login site, site address is gaogg.tk
Ofcourse i wasn't so stupid to enter my info ~.~

Meh, lucky for me I just go in there, spin the wheel, minimise, and close when I hear the music has stopped. Oh, I do check what I win too but I ignore ALL word bubbles because I can't be bothered razz
