Could you expand into different pay types?

Said this in the other thread, but what about making this a gold sink and a potential to earn more cash?

I love the idea that the ultimate prize winners are randomly drawn, which I think could help in terms of marketability to people who pay in cash or in gold.

Suggestion:
➙Themed tournaments, such as being accessible to only gold payers or only cash payers
➙Different prizes for these themed tournaments
➙Exclusive items won from each themed tournament to gain interest.
For example, gold only tournaments would have their own exclusive tiers
Cash only would have their own exclusive tiers

Even if the proposed gold fee tournament tier has periodic ads to watch or lower payouts/less glamorous prizes, I'd be OK with that, but I'd just like the opportunity to play and socialize on that part of the site (once the bugs are worked out, of course). I was excited for new games on the site, but this is disappointing. Sorry, Gaia, I know I'm a lot of "This is disappointing" lately, but this is Site Feedback, and that's mine.

I would think that if there were multiple themed tournaments, each with their different prize brackets, you could still have a game that you can pay in cash or gold and still be able to make it more palatable/intriguing to the masses.

I figure if this option gets implemented, obviously gCash might have some more desirable items (other than Halo) to draw in buyers, and gold only can still have highly sought after items too.

Not to mention, heck, you could do ULTRA ULTRA prize with being a drawn winner from both gold only and gCash tournament.

Right now, I just feel like there's another shot in the foot with this game.

Seriously, I was about to play, but I saw that pic rolling around where the free tournament option gets you nothing. No gold, no cheap GS item, nothing. With certain games out there already granting you practically nothing for a ton of work, why would they do it again? emotion_facepalm I was looking forward to playing this game, but alas, Gaia screwed it up, again.

Only on Gaia would they make it so the avi items were the end-all-be-all importance of the site, and then come out with a game that you need to pay GC (apparently it's also per game, not per tournament) to get anything from. If I have GC, I'm not spending on it a game to get gold. Especially when there's other things I can do to with my GC to make gold way faster than a game tournament.

Heck, I'd even take wagering tickets/tokens.
Or receiving game items *cough*alchemy components *cough* when you win a tournament. ninja
