Truth be told I'm waiting for the s**t storm floodgates to break through. Been on since 2004--gone through my original account hack to building this one up and now after coming back from a 2 year hiatus its clear this sites going down. I'm kinda just waiting for the next big thing cause Gaia's pretty much killed itself.

I think part of the reason it hasn't yet is there isn't a site quite like Gaia. Well, Gaia in it's prime. There are some out there (recolor.me, Menewsha, etc) but they just aren't quite built up enough yet.

Yeah I think some of the other sites just don't have the Avi customisation that Gaia has, it's just not built right yet. I don't think many other sites can compete with Gaia's customisation and avi system.

I also think a lot of people are daunted by the idea of starting all over again. I've worked hard, and it's taken me years to get all the gold I have now.. I don't want to throw that away and start from scratch again somewhere else.
However, with the inflation getting worse by the day... my gold isn't worth much any way so... maybe it won't be so bad. sweatdrop

I've got a bit over 100 million, and that's sadly chump change now Dx I do have some wealth in terms of what items I had though before Gaia went down the drain. But yes, even despite that starting over is a daunting thought. I have memories here (sad as that is) and friends that still get online here. Or at least will still pop in once in a while for a quick chat.

Also, other sites RP communities suck last I checked. While the ones here often die quickly, they at least have some good lit ones you can find.

It was what, 25 gold for a long time. Someone said for a short while it was 100g (I don't recall that, but I coulda missed it). But I guess Gaia's way to slightly maybe attempt to fix this or help out those who refuse/can't donate to them is by upping gold given out. Tips are 10k now. Pink links give out 10-50 million or something (I actually heard up to 200mil in rare cases). They finally upped the Daily Chance hand outs so if you do it repeatedly you get 20-30k per chance (unless you get an item) and sometimes even more than that (highest I've gotten was 666,000).

Yes, they're still around, but in lesser amounts I think. I say so because in the past few months, I didn't see too much inflation in the MP as it was in 2013-2014. I managed to get a lot of good stuff without spending a single cent on GC for three years.
