You know, I was looking forward to your input on this haha.

I don't just blame goldemort now. I see so many people that work on this site on board with that s**t site despite both devs and admins saying otherwise. Then again, what do you expect from a bunch of liars.

Oh come on. You really think they'd jeopardise their pay check by not saying yes when told to do so? rofl They work for Gaia. You know how most work places function. Boss: "Jackson, go get me a latte." Jackson: "Yes, sir." That's Gaia right there.

I assume what you saw from the devs and admins were their inner voices. Those pay checks made those inner voices go away. By the way, I'm sure you know this is not Gaia Interactive's first time using money made here for side endeavours. Why Chinese Gaia was one not too long ago. That was short-lived and I suspect the same will be said of this one.

Anyone who spends money here should now expect a [possibly large] fraction of that to be used offsite. That's just simply how they function here as of say...the last 3 - 4 years I believe.

Actually, Chinese Gaia was independent of the American Gaia. Gaia just gave Chinese Gaia permission to use their items on their site. Chinese Gaia was not managed by Gaia Interactive, but rather by some company in China, and eventually the creators of Chinese Gaia decided to nix the site completely and change it into something else (I think it's now some kind of Chinese social networking site?).

Ah, you got me there. Totally forgot even after being a member there. Yeah, Gaia Star (盖亚星空) changed name to mshenghuo and became a microblogging site in 2012 with zero notice given. =_= Still doesn't change the fact that Gaia can place money made here into side endeavours.

couldn't you just do a marketplace shut down, before to applying it on the website ?
make a limite of gold to selling items for block the marketplace inflation.
Because, seriously....admit a lot of peoples spend time and wasting money on gaia.. for that result...try every solution before to close gaia.

If you do a shut down to gaia, you'll risck to lost all loyal player who are on gaia since 2003....

For me... gaia is kinda my seconde home and family, i won't lost it...

I'm sure... all players who playing on gaia since 2003, would understand me.

I now exist in both sites. It's not so bad. I actually like how my avatar looks there even with the basics.
However, I'm not ready to dump money into it. I think Gaia will still grow now. I think they can redirect more resources here since the sister site has been launched.

Granted we need features worked on so badly that any moment an earthquake in San Jose could rip GO asunder.
BUT... going so far to say that the site is bad because of this "site" that is apparently in the works is speculative unless proven otherwise. This isn't feedback.

I'm sorry, you're missing the feedback part of my post. Whether or not, my belief that GaiaOnline has gone to hell because tentacl.com now exists, I have legitimate feedback offered for Gaiaonline at the end of my original post. Thank you for reading.

After looking at the site... ew... it is like some damnlol or lolcats rip off that allows porn.

But seriously. I was thinking it'd be more of a tasteful/artistic nude sort of thing. Maybe with free discussion of hentai and maybe a more-ecchi manga. But this? I could go to 4chan and see the same thing. Body parts everywhere.

I don't see how the site is going to recover. Between these new bases and stores and this new site, the staff are doing too many things. If you notice, the staff listing at the new site includes many people that are vital to this site.

Gaia hasn't been a very special priority for almost a year now.
