Gwyndara a comander on the U.S.S. Pagasas
Incharge of Security.
Happy to be alive, rescued at an awaystation became part of starfleet.
Not many of her kind exist, her race is almost extinict.

She made her normal rounds for the evening before retireing to her quarters. She was fairly new to the Star ship and was happy to be away from the Mortals of her last post.
She didn't make freinds easily, She decidedd that it was due to the fact that she made a Klingon warrior look like a p***y cat when it came to Fighting and war.
She was the Daughter of a king, or at least she was. And she was the Princess of a race of warrior women that would put the Aincent Amazons of earth to shame.
She wasn't paying to much attention as she walked, which really wasn't like her at all.
She need to focus.
Perhaps a long hot bath would help, she thought as she entered her quarters and prepared herself for bed.

As she soaked neck deep in the steaming hot watter she thought of her life as a child and how she grew up, and was thankful to be part of the fedration in this stage of her ever ageing life.
She was 4,000 earth years, but only looked to be about 25 which also made it hard to make freinds.
she sighed and decided to think on happer things, such as the up coming visit from the Xelata Ambasador and how the Federation was going to benefit from this up comming meeting.
She needed to make sure all safety precautions were made.

Star was not sure of Gwyn there new commandoer she was going to have to prove her self. Star thought to her self whats up with the prissy girl stuff taking a hot bath when they needed her to tell them what her objectives are and what the new mission was.

After her hot bath and a warm meal, Gwyn went in search of the senior officers.
She found them in 10 forward, haveing a good time or so it seemed. Oh how she longed to belong with them, but she was too diferent and didn't think anyone would want her to hang out with them.
She called them over to one table.
"The amasador from Xelata will be ariving tomarrow, I have taken all the safety precautions that I can. Security will be tightened and the first Officer Star and the Captain will have one Security officer with them at all times, I have been personaly assighned to Comander Star."
She could see the tension thicken in the room.
"These are the captains orderes.
1st Not more than one officer will be allowed off duty at one time Untill the ambassador has left.
and 2nd the Officers will eat in rotated shifts.
I'm sure if you have any questions Commander Star or I can answer them for you. Dissmissed."
she then waited for them to say or do something.

Star could help but think how arrogent this captin was. Star would do her biding and be there to make sure everthing runs smoothly and give all the creidt to her, her highness. but could they ever be freinds? proabll not

Well after giving her orders she left.
She didn't think anyone would ever like her, but she wasn't here to be liked she was here to do her job.
The Pagases was her home now and she had her own crew. She couldn't ask for anything more than that.

Star watched as the captin struded her stuff out of the room
What now she thought.

All of the sudden the alarm went off/ Approching craft not sure if friendly.Star quickly made her way to the helm to see what was going on. Know was the time for the captin to prover her self. Star couldn't wait to see what the captin was made of. deep down star was starting to like the captin and hoped her instinks were rights. ( of course they alwasy are after all she is a volcon or how ever the way you spell it.)

As the alarm sounded Gwyn looked to her officers to make sure they were at thier stations, glad to see that they were in place she sat in her chair.

"yellow alert, we don't know if they are freind or foe." she said.
"Status Comander Star, tell us what were dealing with."
"Stand by, lest let them come to us." she said calmly.

"Captin the approching vessel looks to be a Romulan cargo ship, what are your orders"

[Gwyndara]

She thougt for a moment, appearances can be deciving.
"Nothing for now, we wait and see if they Hail us, if not we let them go about thier busness, They are on thier side of the border, if they cross the border however then it is a different story. Keep us at yellow alert."

"Fist officer report. Whats the ship doing?" she asked from her captians chair monotoring the pannel by her side.

"Captin, you might consider raising the shilds just in case they fire one us"

Sugesstion noted and taken.
"raise shileds 80 percent"
So they sat and waited to see what response the enemy ship would give if any at all.
