In a world inhabited by the creatures known as Pokémon, the lives of four young people are about to change forever. Darkness is descending on the regions of Kanto, Johto, Hoenn and Sinnoh as a criminal organisation emerges from the shadows to make their name know. Team Midnight is rising.

Unaware of the impending storm, the world moves on as normal and nestled in the intervening space between the regions of Kanto and Johto, the Pokémon League is in turmoil. A Young woman has just battled her way through the league, taken on and defeated the Elite Four, and then, in a battle to the very finish that will be remembered for years to come, she and her Pokémon defeated the champ and took his place at the top of the League.

As the paparazzi flood in to interview The Champion, plastering her face on TV screens and newspaper covers across the land, a young man is just settling down after a hard day’s work. Switching on the television and flicking through the channels he is amazed to see a face that he recognises, a face that he has not seen in ten long years, a face he has not forgotten. The Childhood Friend can remember clearly the day that he and The Champion parted ways. For years they had been inseparable, grown together, played together, dreamed together and eventually set out on a journey together with their Pokémon, until one argument ruined it all. The Childhood Friend never told The Champion how he truly felt about her and by the time he realised he should have told her, it was too late. The Champion had stormed off in anger after their fight and by the time she returned to the place where she left him, The Childhood Friend had given up waiting and left.

Frustrated, annoyed and upset, The Champion pushed on with her dream to distract herself from her loss. Meanwhile, The Childhood Friend reacted in the opposite way. Miserable, he stopped catching Pokémon, stopped battling; just stopped. Eventually, after a while of wandering aimlessly with just his starter Pokémon he stumbled across a group of architects who were investigating some ancient ruins. Interested, he stopped to find out more and soon found himself involved in the project. By absorbing himself in the research he found something to distract him from his loss and so threw himself into the work, making immense discoveries to do with Pokémon of the past and possibilities of ancient powers. Although he never caught any more Pokémon, The Childhood Friend found a new passion in his studies and worked over the years towards publishing a book which was almost ready for release when his whole life was flipped upside down by that face on TV.

Determining that he must see her again – now he finally knew where she was – he set out to the Pokémon League. If he can get past all the paparazzi then what will he say? What will happen? Will he find that he isn't truly over the feelings that he hid all those years ago? And if he isn't over them, then how will he cope with the presence of The Rival.

Although the Champion found no better companion that her Pokémon once she and her friend had parted ways, it was perhaps inevitable that she would find someone else to travel with eventually. The Rival joined her in the later stages of her journey, a strong, competent and occasionally cocky trainer who managed to win out through sheer persistence in following her. An unusual friendship grew between the two trainers out of their mutual respect for each other’s abilities and the young man now stands back and watches complacently as the woman gains her well earned prize. His eyes however are not the only pair fixed avidly on the figure in the centre of the crowd.

A girl just slightly younger than the champion stands in the corner with eyes bright and wide. The Wanabee is infatuated with any anyone and everyone who is someone. Trainers, Breeders, Researchers, all of them, if they are good in their field then she wants to know them. Though hard working and in love with her Pokémon she does not enjoy battling with them yet idolises those who do. Her one true wish that she is determined to achieve is that one day, somehow, she will be famous. Meanwhile, she would merely be happy to meet The Champion and her companion as soon as there is enough space to get through the crowd.

As the trainers battle with their Pokémon, their lives, and their feelings, a new threat enters the Pokémon world as Team Midnight steps up to try and take over. The Champion is called upon in her new role to try and negate the threat and the others insist upon trying to help. With everything going on, will they ever manage to sort out their tangled web while The Boss and his team try to spin one of a completely different kind?

This is a literate to adv-literate roleplay and I really can’t stress that fact enough. You should be typing in third person and will full sentences whilst making good use of correct spelling, punctuation and grammar. Of course typos are understood, we all make them, but if you know you are prone to doing it a lot, just run your post quickly through a spell checker first, it doesn’t take long. Please ensure a minimum of three good sized paragraphs a post with lovely descriptive detail, if possible we would prefer more than this so long as it is interesting. If you are writing longer posts that are merely a load of waffle that nobody wants to read, then don’t bother, three paragraphs will be enough.
