When one thinks of a Psychiatric hospital, they believe it’s where people go when they have mental disabilities. It is a place where they can get the special treatment that they need. But what if someone was so special they were only sent there because they scared people in society. One does not really know what to do when someone can see the future.

Olivia Johnson was sent to Northvale Park Hospital after she tried to warn people about a crime. Little did they know, she was right. When the crime was committed, no one gave her a second look. No one came to claim her. The government thought it best to keep her hidden from the world. For years, no one thought of her until one day a detective was trying to catch the same criminal from so long ago. He was the same criminal that Olivia had seen commit the crime. After that night, the same criminal continued killing and violating women. He had to be stopped.

One night, the detective was looking through a few case files and a colleague happened to mention Olivia’s name and how she predicted the crime only to be sent away. That’s when he had an idea. It was a risk but it was worth trying. So he contacted his boss and was able to get her bail for however long until the criminal was caught. But what happens when they start working together and get to know each other? Will the two find love? Or will they end up killing other with words? Only fate will tell.

1. Please be literate.
2. NO ONE LINERS!!!!! If you do one liners then I do one liners and I hate that.
3. If you don't fill out the profile I have set up and send me a simpler profile then I don't want to roleplay with you. This tells me that you aren't a literate roleplayer.
4. For the love of all that is good PLEASE no emo depressing guys who cry a lot. Emo depressing people in rp's drive me insane. I hate those. Most of the time, men do NOT cry. They may get pissed but they do not cry.
5. Ignore rule 8 and put "Help me understand" in the pm subject so I know that you have read all of this.
6. No text speaking please. I don't mind a little grammar mistakes. In fact, I make them sometimes too since I tend to type fast. But I don't want to see a misspelled word on every other word, especially if they're real simple words like "the, and, but" that sort of thing.
7. My limits don't go very far. Kissing is really all I do and then a time skip to the next morning. I just like to concentrate on the story more than the action.
8. PM me with "Show me what I can't see" so I know that you've read this.
9. When you post the picture PLEASE make sure the guy looks old enough. I don't want a teenager in a picture for a profile of a guy who's in his 20's.

"I can see what others can't"

Being in a mental hospital had its up and downs. The room I was put in was small but nice with a cozy bed and I didn’t have to worry about a roommate. It was the middle of the night and I couldn’t sleep. I sat up by my window as I drew on my sketch pad. For the past two weeks, I had been drawing the same man. He was tall, dark and handsome. Dark hair, dark eyes and he had a sweet, yet, tough sense about him. I had drawn him in many different places. I had drawn him at the store buying meals, in an office building and a lot of other places. But this was the first time I had drawn him at night. In the picture, he was sitting by the window watching the rain; as I was. That meant he was not very far.

I finished the drawing and decided to put it with the rest of my sketches. I lifted the small floorboard in my closet where I kept things most precious to me. Sadly, the only thing that sat beneath the floorboard were my sketches. There wasn’t really a lot to “collect” in a mental hospital as souvenirs. Everything that came with me to the hospital had been taken from me. Even then it wasn’t much.

I glanced at the other pictures. Besides the drawings of the same man, I had drawn people I knew; people who had affected my life in a good way. Some were in the grocery store, on dates and even at office Christmas parties. In a way, I was keeping tabs on them. They always seemed happy; never knowing where I had disappeared to. They were all told I had been moved. They just didn’t know where or even how to contact me.

After replacing the floorboard, I climbed back into bed and went back to sleep. That night I had my first dream about the man in the pictures. We were both in an office building a few stories up. Several other decks surrounded his own. The man was reading a file of some kind but when I tried to see what he was looking at, the page was blank. That was the downside of my gift. Not every dream/vision was always 100% clear until I actually experienced it.

The next morning I awoke to my same routine. Showered, drew a little before the guard unlocked my door and headed down to a big room with caged doors where everyone waited before having breakfast. To the staff, it was called the “Parlor.” To the sane patients like me, we called it the “Playground.” Here we were kept most days where we “socialized,” played a few games and even had some music playing. For me it was hard to have a decent conversation with most of the patients. The ones I normally talked to who actually seemed normal were the suicidal ones.

Over the past two years, I had made my friends with suicidal patients. They would come, we would make friends, and they would leave and never come back. I would always have dreams about them. Their lives got better. Some changed appearances and all of them turned their life around. I always liked to think I helped them.

This month’s friend was named Abby. She was a sweet girl but her parents were divorced and her mom was pregnant with her stepfather’s baby. Needless to say, Abby didn’t take the baby news very well. Abby’s mother had found her lying in the tub on the verge of death. Thankfully, the ambulance had gotten to her in time. Once she was well enough, she was brought to the hospital where we slowly became friends.

Abby sat at our usual table where the checkered board was set up. Her and I both preferred chess but the staff believed the pieces to be a bigger choking hazard than the checkered pieces. That would actually explain why we never really played with all of the real pieces. Some of the pieces had bites in them and a few were missing. I sat down and moved my first bottle cap piece.

“Morning,” I tried to smile but she didn’t say anything as she moved her first checkered piece. “Everything alright?” I knew what was wrong and I knew the outcome. It took a good five minutes before she actually said something.

“I’m being released tomorrow.” Abby told me. She couldn’t meet my eyes but I just smiled at her.

“And you’re scared.” The girl in front of me nodded and I could see she was trying to hold the tears back. Abby was a smart girl. She just made a dumb mistake. But I knew it was more than that. “It’s alright.” I told her. “Everything is going to be fine.” Like all the other kids I had made friends with, Abby knew about my gift and, like the others, I knew she would never tell. Then again, who would really believe any of them? “You’re mom’s worried about you. You’re stepfather too.”

“Will I ever see you again?” She asked. I smiled as I remembered the dream I had a week before. Abby and I were sure to meet again.

“Our paths will cross and it’s not going to be in here.” Abby seemed confused so I decided to explain a little. “Let’s just say I’ll be getting out of here pretty soon too.” Abby and I finished our game, this time she won, and everyone went to the cafeteria to eat their breakfast. Some were fed by other people. Thankfully, Abby and I could feed ourselves which we did.

After breakfast, we were all escorted back to the “Playground” before group therapy. Though, I had a feeling I wouldn’t be joining them today. Abby and I stared out the window and noticed a new black car in the parking lot that wasn’t there before breakfast.

"I don't have time for fears."

There was nothing but the soft pitter-patter of the rain at my windows to keep my mind occupied. My house was empty, vacant. It was only me in this house and I knew for the longest time It would remain only me. I sat by the window, just watching the rain tap against the glass and slowly trail down to the sill. The only thing that entertained my mind anymore was the rain. I had a tv, games, and books as most people did but I was not one to waste a perfectly rainy, and calmly lit night like this.My partner once told me that the fact I looked at the rain showed I was a little more gentle than how I acted at the station and that she wished I would act as calm as I normally do. I just enjoyed the rain, I have since I was five and I will continue to do so...I never thought it meant anything.

I went about my home shutting the curtains and locking my doors. I checked my house for any faults in security but found none. I preferred to be meticulous about it. I have been attacked at home before. Once everything was secure I went to bed and drifted off into a nice slumber. I was unaware of what I'd find the next morning and that I'd be without a partner...but yet I'd still gain a new one.

I woke early the next morning, the rain had stopped, and the sun was shinning which meant I would be hearing the morning ritual's of people once again. I slowly climbed out of my bed and to my closet where I put on my usual work clothes as well as my gun and badge. I didn't exactly have a life outside of work. I wasn't obsessed with my job or anything like a lot of people seemed to think Detectives were I was just....never good with people.

As I dressed my silent atmosphere was broken by the sound of my phone tapping against my wooden nightstand. I continued to tie my tie and slowly walked over before answers "Hello? This is Theseus O'Rourke, what do you need?" I spoke into the small little plastic and metal device. One the other line was my chief but he sounded urgent.

"O'Rourke you need to come down here. There's something you need to see." his tone was grim and I could hear the hustle and bustle of basically the entire police office that were frantic. I finished up and rushed my way down to the station. They were just putting up yellow tape and road blocks by the time I get there.

"What happened?" I asked but all I get in response was a head motion that was past him. I moved him out of the way and saw my partner lying dead on the floor. I balled my hand into a fist as I surveyed the area. My partner wasn't a weakling and she always put up a fight but it looked like she went down without so much as a struggle and yet...the killer was brutal in his finishing. Most people couldn't stand to look at the carnage but I was mostly jaded. I leaned down "Oh....Hina." I said and shook my head. I was doing my best to hide any emotion but this brought more pain to my heart. I stood up and the boss handed me a file.

I began to sift through it and found an interesting piece of information within the file that had been placed there this morning. I looked at it carefully as it held a bit of the girls information but the most important thing within the file was how she had predicted a murder like this one, but it seemed more like a nightmare then an actual prediction. She was also claiming to be psychic and do to this was labeled mentally unstable and sent off to the mental hospital. I didn't believe in that nonsense but it seemed her prediction came true. I needed to find her and quickly.

I looked at the chief and here was what he said:

"We already planned to bring her in."

I closed the folder and put it under my arm before heading to my car. I didn't explain what I was doing or where I was going but the chief probably knew. I speed off from the scene keeping my emotions in check for the most part as I rode to the mental hospital. I made my way inside and went up to the desk "I need a girl here, she's claiming to be psychic." the woman at the front looked at me like I was nuts.

I somewhat slammed my hand on the counter "I said I need a girl here, name's Olivia Johnson, crazy woman pretending she has incredible mental abilities." I was more forceful but this time the woman seemed to a look a little irritated

"Sir, no visitors allowed yet."

I pulled out my badge "Detective O'Rouke, I'm here on police business." I started "Go. Get. Her. Now." the woman instantly complied. I waited. It was time to speak to this girl and figure out her connection to this.

Abby and I stared out the window like a bunch of school girls. The door to the car opened and out rushed a man in a suit. Tall, dark and handsome. “That’s him,” I told Abby referring to my pictures. A time or two I had shown her my pictures. It was the only way to prove I was psychic. That and tell her how she was found which wasn’t in any case file. All it said was a in a tub by her mother. Abby looked at me and then back at the figure who had just entered the building.

“No,” she shook her head in disbelief. “That can’t be him.”

“Olivia,” one of the guards called from the doorway. “You have a visitor.” Abby and I both gawked at the man. We both seemed to agree on one thing. My pictures did not do him justice. But there was something else about him. He seemed upset. Something had happened. Suddenly, a flash of a vision popped into my mind. It was her. The one I had predicted along with several others. I just never predicted how close the two of them were. Abby nudged me to actually greet him.

“I’m sorry about your friend,” I told him. “Hanna? Or maybe a Helen?” I guessed. It was something with an ‘H.’ The name was still kind of fussy. As he stood in front of me, I noticed the edge of his badge. That was something else I didn’t see coming. In all the pictures I had drawn, none of them had any sense of a badge or even a gun. I had just thought he was a man who just worked in an office building. Like with taxes or something. But a cop? Now this was getting interesting.

“It was him wasn’t it? The one who killed those women back out west?” The man, to me, didn’t have a name. I had only predicted his crimes and where his last location. But the more I talked, the more I could tell I was hitting a nerve. This girl really meant something to him. “What can I do for you detective?”

"I don't have time for fears."

I continued to wait and soon the girl was brought to me as I had requested. The girl was young, couldn't have been older than twenty four. She was what others would call beautiful or cute. I was never one for those labels but I would be inclined to agree. The girl spoke before I did. She started off on the wrong foot as she tried to guess the name of my partner. She got it wrong. Some psychic. I still didn't speak and just stood with my arms closed as she spoke. Once she was finished I waited a moment before pulling out my badge "I'm Detective O'Rourke of the NJPD." I spoke slowly "I'm here concerning a murder. He's been around for some time now, killing and abusing women but we've never been able to catch him." I said. I observed her. I must have been crazy to believe this girl could and would help me.

I sighed "I've heard that you've made several predictions on these murders and we're at a loss." I told her and decided to be honest with her "I've been on this case for months now. Me and my partner have tracked this guy everywhere, but he has always eluded our grasp." I thought for a moment "Every crime you predicted came true and there's only two explanations: Your either an accomplice or you are the real deal. I don't believe in psychics, I don't believe in miracles, and I don't believe in the words people find in the bible being a Deist." I looked around "But I need to take this b*****d down and you'll be my only decent shot. Will you help me? Or am I chasing a myth?" I asked her and stared her down. I wanted to believe she was the real deal and could aid me but if not...I'd go it alone.

Not only had I hit a nerve with him, but it was a tough one to convince. Of course, I had other ways of convincing him. But to catch a murderer? It sounded dangerous but if was coming here for help from a person he didn’t believe had special abilities, he had to be desperate. I looked back at Abby who nodded in encouragement. I knew she would be alright. I’d see it before. It was even the truth when I told her we would meet again outside. I predicted some tiny café. Looking back at the detective, I couldn’t help but agree help him out. “I’ll help.” Honestly, anything was better than where I was currently residing.

As I walked toward the gate to “check out,” I was stopped by one of the other patients. “And where do you think you’re going, Private?!” He was an elderly gentleman who seemed to be reliving the war. As weird as he was, he was a good friend. As good as a friend could come in a mental institution. I stood at attention as he watched me with his arms behind his back.

“With this MP sir,” I replied. The general looked at the detective and then back at me. He moved in closer so he could whisper.

“I’ve never seen him before. He could be from the enemy lines.” I chuckled and shook my head.

“He’s plenty safe. On our side of course.” I informed him. The general looked at the detective and then back at me. Something seemed to be going on in his head that, I’m sure, no one could really explain.

“Carry on, Private.” I gave him a solute and walked out to the gate. After signing some papers, I was given back my clothes, the ones I had worn when I arrived, and I was able to grab my things that I had collected. Again, I hadn’t really collected much since my arrival. My pictures were enough. Part of me didn’t want to tell him about my pictures but another part of me did. It would definitely help him be convinced. Before leaving, I was able to say goodbye to Abby. She gave me all her contact information and I told her I would call her in a few days after she had settled in her house.

As the detective and I walked out of the building, I felt free. “Can I ask you something?” I asked. “Can we stop by a fast food place and grab a burger? You have no idea the kind of food I’ve been stuck with.” I paused as if thinking of something else he might actually like. From the looks of it, he wasn’t really one to eat fast food on regular basis. “Maybe we could stop by a Krispy Kreme for some donuts? Cops like donuts right?”

I looked at Olivia and rolled my eyes at her last statement. I did not really enjoy donuts and most cops weren't so addicted to them but I realized that she was trying to throw in a little humor. I wasn't in the mood for humor. I packed into the car without a word and drove her to the nearest fast food joint available. I drove through the driv-thru allowing her to get the food she wanted before parking in the lot. While she choose to ate I opened the case files and began to look through all of them.

This was a genius, nearly impossible to catch. He was desperate and obviously very desperate to have turned to this girl but they didn't have too much time. He had to be caught soon or he'd never be caught and more innocent girls would be killed. I remained in the car in silence while she ate. I had to imagine that if normal hospital food was disgusting then this would be heaven to her. I waited and read hoping she finished up soon.

This guy was tougher than I thought. He seemed really serious. He was going to be a hard one to crack. As he drove to through the drive through, I didn’t hear a word he said. Though he didn’t really say anything. Not that I would have noticed anyway. As we sat in his car, he looked through the case file. It seemed like the same one I had seen him look at in my dream. Though, in my dream he was at his desk.

The burger was the best piece of meat I had eaten in a long time. The closest thing to meat I had eaten at the hospital didn’t even resemble any form of beef or chicken. I didn’t even think it was real meat. Not even the eggs seemed real. “Thanks for buying me food. I promise I’ll pay you back when I actually get money.” Since we were practically going straight into the case, I hadn’t had much time to see how much was still in my own bank account. If I remembered correctly, there probably wasn’t much.

I looked over his shoulder and skimmed what I could see hoping something would trigger a vision of some kind. Though it was hard to focus with what tasted like food of the gods moving around in my mouth. Right as I finished my drink, my eyes closed shut. My mind was spinning.

“I’m in a room,” I told the detective. From the looks of it, it was an apartment building. The room was small, beaten. It had been lived in but it wasn’t good living. Poor living was what it was. But whoever the vision was about I was seeing it as if I was them. “There’s a small table with a flower on top. A rose? No,” I corrected myself, “a daisy.” The body moved toward the table and picked up the mail. “I need a paper and pen quick.” I told him. When I was handed the pen and paper, I wrote down what I saw. A name and an address. Then the vision ended.

                                      Selena Brooks

Along with the address. “This isn’t the killer,” I told the detective, “but I think she has information on the guy. Like she’s a friend or a relative.” I handed the paper to Theseus. “She may even know where the guy is hiding.”

I sat calmly in my seat as the woman ate. I was taken by surprise when she finally began to speak and it seemed she was having a vision. I listened and waited for her finish, handing her a pen when it was required and when she was done I looked at the address and the name. It was a woman, probably with connections it seemed.

I looked at her and nodded "Then lets go." I said and drove off towards this woman apartment. I wondered what info she had and how she got it and hopefully this guy didn't think of her as well otherwise she'd be dead by the time they go there.

At the apartment I got out of the car with Olivia and proceeded up to her floor and door. I knocked and stood there, waiting for her to answer.

As we headed down the road, I wondered what this woman would be like. Why would she have connections with this man? Old girlfriend maybe? As we arrived at the apartment, the outside looked worse than the apartment in my vision. At the end of the block, a few people were just standing on the curb watching us. I decided not to give them my full attention.

The sign on the elevator read out of order along with other words in graffiti not worth repeating. Who would want to live here? Whether you could afford it or not, there were apartments farther north of town that were about the same price. They weren’t anything like the Ritz but they were nicer than where we were.

We found the apartment on the third floor. Door didn’t seem in good shape along with everything else in the building. We waited for a good minute with no answer. Regretfully, I placed my hand on the door on the door. I didn’t even what to know what was growing on that door. But I knew one thing. The woman was inside but she was scared. Almost frozen in the back corner. No one ever came to visit her. The guy she had the connections to always I had a key. I took a pin from my pocket and, miraculously, picked the lock. But before I opened it, I turned to the detective, “Let me go in first, it’s just her so she’s a lone and she’s scared. Let me talk to her.” I walked in as if trying to calm down a frightened puppy.

The girl was shivering in the corner. “Who are you?!” She asked. I put my hands up to try and show her we didn’t mean any harm. From the looks of it, she had been crying but there were no marks on her which meant it wasn’t any kind of abuse. She was just scared. On a small table by the door, sat a picture frame with her and another guy. It was him. I could feel it. But he wasn’t her boyfriend.

“My name is Olivia. And this is Theseus. We only want to talk,” I looked over at the table. The daisy I had seen in my vision was wilting. It had been there for a few days. Daisy’s were her favorite flower. Along with some old mail, I noticed the newspaper with the article about a man who had killed several women. She had been crying over the news. “About your brother,” I added. Selena hugged her knees and started crying again. Surely, the fact that her brother was killing women had come to a great shock.

“They all looked like her,” she explained, “our mother. Long brown hair, bright eyes. Same structured face. They all look like her,” Selena said again. “I just don’t understand.” I crouched in front of her, desperate for an answer.

“Selena? We need your help. Where is your brother?” I asked. She shook her head not wanting to say as if she had an oath to him. “If you don’t tell us where he is or where we can try to find him, he’s just going to keep killing.” I had this feeling we were now on a time crunch. He was going to kill again and it was going to be soon.

“There’s an old abandoned building. 23rd St. Helen’s street. He’s been hanging out there a lot.” I could see it was hard to tell us. This was her brother. Someone she thought she knew.

“Thank you,” I told her. I turned to the detective. “We need to go. I think he’s going to kill again.”

"I don't have time for fears."

I looked at her and thought for a moment before giving her a small nod "Fine." I backed up and let her go inside to talk to the woman. I followed in so I could hear the conversation and was shocked at how she pegged the guy as the woman brother and spoke my first name though I never told her nor was it on his badge. I waited for her to finish up as I took in everything he heard. Once their conversation was done he looked at her "I know." I ran out to the care with her and piled in again and took off. I sped up just in case but made sure not to hit anything. As we reached there warehouse I slowed down just a little bit of a distance. I turned to her "Stay here." she was still a civilian and if he was here I'd rather not have her in harms way. I gout out and made my way to the door and pulled my gun from its holster before proceeding inside.
