The water was fantastic. Blake had never felt such a relaxing sensation, although it did remind her of her first warm bath. Blake was always comparing her experiences to the time she used to be a part of. A time where indoor plumbing really wasn't a thing. People would wash out in basins that only held cold water that a few people had probably already used. As she went through time as a genie, it was amazing how advance the world had become. One of her masters had introduced her to her first warm bath. That was one thing she could say that lifted her up when she was down. Though she was trapped, she had the opportunity that others did not. She was able to watch the world progress and change. She was able to watch how the art style and techniques blossomed and grew. It was a beautiful sight. She was grateful for that experience at least. Being imprisoned, that hadn't been so great.

Lost in her thoughts, she suddenly jumped opening her eyes and seeing the girl across from her coughing and choking on water. Oh god. Was she alright? She really couldn't call for anyone. Oh man. As suddenly as she'd been coughing she'd now hopped out of the bath seeming startled to see another person with her. Blake only managed to see her little tattoo after she mentioned it. Again, the girl was struggling to speak apologizing for showing her all her goods. But, it was a bath. You were supposed to be naked. Blake had become desensitize to that sort of stuff. Or so she thought anyway. Blake waved her arms instantly that she shouldn't worry. This was the downside to having no voice. People who did not know her were unable to understand what she was trying to get across without her notebook.

Then there was a plop. Blake watched the glasses drop down in the water and see the girl struggling and upset. Blake walked her way over to her slowly and grabbed her shoulders tactfully giving her a little shake to calm down. Smiling slightly, she held up a finger before dropping down into the water. After a few moments, the white haired girl came back up holding the glasses her hair now pressed down around her forehead and cheek bones. Opening them up, she push aside some of Gabby's hair and put them on her before taking a small step back. Holding up her hands, she brought them to her throat and tried to demonstrate or rather explain that she could not speak. She was horrible at acting, so she was positive she was failing pretty badly. Looking down, she sighed. She'd made this girl really uncomfortable. Maybe she should just leave. She didn't want to ruin someone's day. Blake made her way back to the side and grabbed her towel. She didn't want someone to have a bed experience because of her. "I'm sorry," she mouthed. "I'll go."

Sam smiled with a nod. Cooking with Gigi for Marina may be fun. However, it would be hard for her to give up control. But, she would try! Gigi was one of her best friends. She didn't have many of those. Sam found it hard for her to keep friends do to her pushy sort of nature, but she was slowly working out it. It wasn't really getting that much better, but hey! It wasn't getting worse either. That was progress in her book. "I think that would be fun. I would like to cook with you Gigi." Her smile turned into a small smirk when the girl brought up her eating habits again. It was true, she could get sick, but it hadn't really happened yet. Sometimes her stomach just hurt. Maybe that was her way of being sick? She wasn't really sure. Sam didn't go to the hospital often because she believed they were only for dyer situations. If she had a fever, she would just stay home.

Actually, the was probably a lie. Nothing got in the way of Sam and her job. That would probably come back to bite her in the future, but at the moment, it was working for her. Why fix something that wasn't broken. Right? All this talk of food and health seemed to semi be in Sam's wheel house. When Gigi asked for advice though, it sort of threw her off. She'd said what she thought, but was it really the right thing to say. Advice was supposed to be your opinion right? Or was it supposed to be the public's opinion. Oh jeez. Hopefully she hadn't told her something that was going to get anyone upset with her. Sam couldn't imagine anyone being upset or angry with Gigi. She was just too nice a person. Those people that were were either assholes, or the just didn't know how to act correctly. Sam had a way of fixing those types of people.

Hearing Gigi reassure her that her advice had helped, she couldn't help but feel a bit flattered. Most people only complimented her cooking which made her feel fantastic! But, no one had ever comments on her advice giving before. Sam probably wouldn't make a profession out of it, but maybe she wasn't absolutely terrible at giving advice. Then again, she was talking to Gigi. If anyone else asked for advice, she may ended up making them feel worse due to her condescending nature. Sam nodded at her solution to go tell the person. As much as she wanted to ask, she was going to be respectful. She would tell her when she felt she could. "I think you're doing a good thing, and I'm glad I could help you get this off your chest." She smiled and laughed a bit at her smile as she watched her run off. "Good luck." Sam grabbed the plate and utensils to throw them away before turning back to the kitchen. "Where is that damn server. He's in so much trouble," she growled her mood taking almost a 180.

▰▰▰▰▰▰▰▰▰▰▰▰▰▰▰▰▰▰ Lee Adachi ▰▰▰▰▰▰▰▰▰▰▰▰▰▰▰▰▰▰

At his house, the waves of the ocean could be heard. It was a relaxing sound and he enjoyed sitting outside on clear nights and listening to it. It only seemed natural since he hardly was able to sleep. Here in town however, it was a completely different sound. It was noisy to say the least. He worked as chief of the fire station which was surrounded by buildings. In fact, he found himself here on call than home in his own little house that was probably comparable to a shack. He preferred it. He was one person and he lived alone and most of the time, he wasn't home.

Right now he found himself in the fire station, sitting on the second floor in his office and behind a wooden desk. Most desks had papers scattered upon them but Lee had them all neatly in categorized stacks so that they could easily be found. All his pens were in their holder and paperclips color coded on the magnet they were sticking to. This could only be done by the works of someone who was quite OCD which Lee was. In the Office there was not a stain on the floor, nor any form of trash except in the wastebin beside his desk. He was writing on a form after doing a fire safety inspection at one of the local shops. They were to be done periodically and Lee liked to promptly fill out the paperwork and file it away.

He finished and scooted back away from his desk, walking over to his file cabinet and filing it in one of the folders. He closed the drawer gently and sighed dropping his hand to his side and going to the window to stare at the street below. He knew he had more work that needed to get done. The blacksmith shop would probably be the most work to deal with so he decided against going there for the time being. He turned and walked over to his desk and pulled a small cup into his hand and sipped on the herbal tea inside. He closed his eyes enjoying the warmth go down his throat and turning to walk back over to the window. It was silent in his station today. No telling where the others had run off to. He shook his head slightly before deciding he might just take a walk down the street. His stomach was informing him of a skipped breakfast and he was lacking groceries in the station fridge. He grimaced not liking the idea of a crowded morning but it had to be done. He finished up his tea before grabbing his uniform jacket and putting it on over his white undershirt.

Now downstairs he locked the door so no one would come in that wasn't allowed and stepped into the cool morning air. He hung his thumbs on his front pockets and began walking. The restaurant and cafe were both nearby and right beside each other. Food was easy to get but it was hard to decide which one he would go to. The bakery would have sweet food and that turned Lee away from it. Perhaps it would be best to stay away from overly sweet things. He instead stopped in front of the restaurant and looked at it. Was it really worth it? His stomach was suggesting yes but his brain was saying otherwise. "Perhaps I can just get something to go..." He stated to himself. He cocked his head slightly to the side. Had he already inspected this place? Was it overdue to do? He had to think to himself then shook his head, No, the restaurant was clear for now. He stepped inside looking around curiously. It seemed awfully loud this morning. Surely he could just get his food and go without much of a problem.

Kale woke up after sleeping in. He untangled himself from his covers and practically fell out of the bed. He moved out of the bed, standing in nothing boxers. Kale walked through his room and picked out a few cloths. He left the room half naked to go get washed up. His shower didn't take long at all. He dried himself off after, got dressed, and shaved his morning gruff off of his face. Kale then brushed his teeth, brushed his hair, and did various other things that were usual after getting up. Kale left the bathroom once he was done and walked over to the kitchen. Did he get the stuff? He opened up the fridge and looked in. Nope. He didn't get the stuff. At least he got the book yesterday. He had managed to wrap it too. He brought his hand to his mouth and yawned as he closed the refrigerator door. He'd have to go shopping. After getting his shoes pulled on and a light jacket, Kale headed out.

Kale locked the house and shoved his hands in his jacket. He hoped that the grocery shop was open. Even though he was worried about it, he didn't run. He had just taken a shower. He thought about the surprise party that he was supposed to distract Poppy from. So he'd make her hamburgers, give her his gift, then distract her. Maybe she'd like to go to the beach. Maybe he could challenge her to a bike ride. Or maybe he could take her to one of the shops to window shop and maybe even buy her a second gift. Kale smiled slightly as he came up on the grocery store. It looked open. That was good. His plans would have been ruined if it wasn't. He knew he should have shopped yesterday but they still had food in the fridge left for one day. Kale was the type to let the fridge empty before shopping for groceries again.

Kale walked in the shop and grabbed a small cart. What did he need for sure. He needed hamburger, buns, pickles, cheese, onions, ketchup, mustard, and lettuce. As he went down the ails he picked up what he needed, occasionally shopping to look at something he didn't need at all. He wondered what Poppy would like to drink with her hamburger meal. He knew she liked strawberry milk and fried zucchini. Maybe he'd get the ingredients for the fried zucchini and some ingredients for an italian salad. Kale walked up and down the ails again, getting more ingredients and strawberry milk. He also managed to grab some flavored water and a few other things they needed for the house. He made sure to get more groceries than what was just needed for Poppy's present when she came back. Kale walked over the the check out line and was out in a jiffy.

The walk back wasn't bad. Despite having lots of bag to carry back to the house, it was a nice walk. He could carry the bags no problem, he just didn't like them rubbing into his skin. It felt weird. At times like this he wished he had a bike with a basket on it. It would help out a ton. He couldn't balance his bags on his bike. He was too scared of bags getting broken and all the food just falling on the dirty ground. The walk was relaxing and when he finally got to the door he easily unlocked it. He went to the kitchen, set the groceries on the counters, and started pulling things out of the bags and putting them away but managed to keep out the things he needed to cook with. Kale suspected Poppy might already be almost done with her work out and heading back. He pulled the pans out and started to make the hamburgers, moving over to their small table in the kitchen and putting the various hamburger ingredients on there like the pickles, buns, onions, and other ingredients that could be put on to make a hamburger to Poppy's liking. He put the mushrooms on another pan to cook up. He liked mushrooms on his burgers. He manged to multitask. He made sure the meat and mushrooms were fine with he worked on prepping the fried zucchini. He then started to make it, making sure it was fine for a good few minutes. He then moved on to making the salad, flipping the burgers or other dishes when it was needed. His mother always said Kale was a pretty good cook. He never thought about doing it professionally though. He liked working the bike shop. It was like a family tradition.

                                                                "Kale!?"

Kale turned his head. Poppy was back! He tossed the salad together of what he could and put it on the table. He then put the cooked mushrooms in a bowl and put those on the table too. The other two dishes were nearly done. He quickly grabbed some plates, putting all but one on the table. He threw the cooked patties on the one plate that stayed on the counter and put those on the table quickly. He then grabbed a bowl to put the zucchini in it, grabbed some utensils to grab the ingredients with as well as utensils to just use for eating, and quickly put all of them on the table. Kale had rushed so much he felt like a superhero.

"I-I'm in the kitchen!" he yelled back at her, getting more and more excited. She'd love it! At least he hoped she would. He nervously turned off all the burners he had been using on the stove top. Wait. Cups! He needed cups. He ran to the cupboard and grabbed out two cups and quickly put them on the table. His present was still in his room too! He had been so concerned with the food that he had forgotten! He could get it later right? It was a good thing if he didn't have it on the table maybe. So the food wouldn't get on it! Kale immediately turned into a nervous wreck. What if she didn't like it? What if she decided to go vegan!? There was salad! He had made salad! Thank goddess! As she walked in he smiled really big.

                                                                "H-Happy birthday Poppy!!!"

""I'm sorry to cause that face. I don't don't don't- Mean to. You don't need to run off, this is our meeting yes?""

Xerxes felt Gin's umbrella grab onto his shirt and looked up. During her time of talking he managed to look down. He looked over at her dumbfounded at first but them smiled like a goof and blushed slightly. He let her move him back to the five foot radius and watched her nod. Embarrassed, he let the woman led him to the hospital and through the doors. Xerxes just scratched his neck nervously as she guided him Maybe he was helping her? He wondered if him just being there was helpful, even if he was a human. His heart made a thump. W-what was that? He frowned. He didn't understand. It was weird. He looked over at Gin confused. Did she make him heart thump? He wasn't sure. Maybe it was the receptionist. She was pretty too. He looked over at Gin again. His eyes wandered down her her hand and he felt bad again. She really shouldn't have come if... It was her choice though right? He wasn't sure what to think.

"Hello hello hello, I need some assistance with my hand."

"I'll inform the doctor. Please take a seat in the waiting room. He'll be right with you."

Xerxes looked at the receptionist and nodded, not noticing Gin's umbrella wasn't on him anymore. He felt... sad for some reason. It was odd. As she apologized Xerxes brought his hands up and waved them back and forth. "It's not a problem, really. It was kind of fun." Xerxes sent her a big, goofy smile before she started to move to where the receptionist had told them to wait. He made sure to keep the five foot radius, not seven this time. He wondered when he'd get to be at four, three, or even two feet away from her. He let her take her seat first. If he had been allowed to be close enough he would have made sure she was comfortable. Xerxes looked at the available seats left. He couldn't sit to her obviously but maybe... maybe... No. He had to judge how far was five feet. He looked at the seats and found a seat five feet away that would face her exactly. Xerxes made sure to move around in a way that wouldn't make her have a heart attack about him getting closer. He took his seat and grinned at her with a goofy smile once more. He rubbed the back of his head nervously. What was he supposed to do or even say now?

"You know," He smiled over at her, "If you want we can look for a stool after your hand gets fixed up." Xerxes frowned slightly. "You won't be able to cook with that hand huh? You know if you want you can come to the restaurant for some meals and I can whip you up some meals. I can bring by the shop too for your lunch if you want." Xerxes chuckled nervously a bit more. "That is unless you don't want them. You don't have to take it if you don't want to but I think pickles would help your hand heal faster. I've heard pickles help with injuries." Xerxes stayed quiet for a few seconds before starting up again. Why was he so nervous? He flashed his company another nervous smile. "Gin, why did you come to town? Do you mind me asking?" Xerxes suddenly realized he had been tense while talking. He relaxed some. "Do you like it here?" Xerxes smiled lightly. "I think everyone here is really nice. Everyone is really accepting. I wouldn't have been able to live normal in a different place, not being the way I am..." Xerxes rubbed the back of his head. "But it's not like I have as much to worry about as the rest of you guys. I'm just housing a friend. You guys are really different. It's really cool to be able to meet all of you guys. I mean... I never thought you guys existed for a while, so it's pretty cool to know all kind of different people. I'm glad we're friends." Xerxes' face got a little red. "Uh, we don't have to be friends if you don't want it." Xerxes chuckled nervously. Was he digging himself a hole with the woman?

Jaida had her back against the cold bench seat, her warm coffee heating up her hands. As a vampire, she had always been somewhat cold to the touch, or at least she thought it was because she was a vampire. Whenever she had touched others they tend to say she is like ice on their skin, but she never thought too much about it. Just another 'perk' of being what she is. She brought her coffee up to her lips, taking in the smell of the precious caffeinated beans. She at the moment was not even aware of the female rancher who had just ridden up to the park on her horse, stopping by the large fountain for a drink. Usually she could smell a human from that distance (Especially if they were bleeding), but Jaida had been so immersed in forgetting her hunger that her attention was hung up on her coffee.

It wasn't until the red haired rancher strolled up to her in close proximity of where she was that Jaida noticed her presence. Her head popped up when the woman addressed her, being somewhat startled by it. Her body immediately angled it's self away from the woman, feeling the need to have an escape if necessary. She was after all, a hungry vampire with a sitting duck right next to her. After all, biting into some random acquaintance is not exactly a very good way to start a conversation. She could easily take a bite at her neck and savor the beautiful bloody liquid that runs from within... Of course that would only create many problems for her. Her thumb rubbed the outside of her coffee cup, being a sort of stress reliever for the moment. She can get through this with as little interaction as possible. "Me waiting for someone? Of course no." She stated, her eyes shifting uncomfortably from Jo's blue eyes to everything else around her. She had only remembered who she was because of the few times she had come to the bar. If she remembered correctly, Jo was a fairly good drinker. The woman was stronger in personality, always something Jaida has sort of admired in a way. But of course, she would never have such a dirty job like the rancher. She wouldn't stand for it. To her, getting down and dirty was a man's job and was no place for a woman to be. That is how she brought herself up to think, which is the reason why she never really feel for any of the men back in her old town. She wouldn't abide with marrying some town farmer or wood cutter, they had to be something much more to capture her attention.

After a moment of awkward silence, Jaida looked around. The horse was happily grazing on the grass to their left, not even giving a care about the world around him. Why couldn't she just be born as a horse? life would be so much easier. As much as she was uneasy being around a human, Jaida was civilized person. She patted uncomfortably to the empty spot next to her. "You may sit down if you would like, this is a bench big enough for two. I in no way want to take up any unnecessary space." She admitted, not really wanting her to sit so closely to her, but she could manage. She could keep her impulses under control with this coffee in her hand, her thumb still rubbing around sides softly. It was like a miniature savior that she could hold between her palms. Though, it only made her all the more aware that she should get a proper meal rather than this crappy human substitute. Things as simple as coffee reminded her that a normal human meal was not enough to sustain the hunger.

Gabby felt hands upon her shoulders as she sulked. Looking up she saw the incredibly blurred image of the person. She covered herself and shut her mouth as a pale white finger came into her line of vision. One moment? She didn't really have much of a choice anyway, she didn't want to move and step on her glasses or flash this stranger again so she stayed still. Her breath coming in small gasps, she was overheating. That was her problem, she forgot to factor in her already higher than normal temperature. So passing out in the pool was indeed her own foolishness at work. She concentrated on trying to keep her blush down, but with the warm tub she was already red to begin with.

She watched as the blur dunked below the surface, returning a moment later with their white hair sticking flat to their head framing a delicately shaped face. Was it a girl? Gabby froze as those pale finger touched her face, pushing back her hair as her glasses were placed on her face. Finally things were clear, and the woman before her was pretty as a snowflake. Gabby blinked quickly, not even noticing the water droplets on her lenses as she watched the pretty pale girl mime something. Her throat? She was sick maybe? Gabby bite her lip as she tilted her head, that was until she mouthed "I'm sorry, I'll go" did the girl stand again. "No no! I'M sorry, don't leave." She grabbed her towel and wrapped it around her as she sat with her legs in the spring. "Thank you so much...for my eyeballs. I would likely have kicked them in the deep part with my luck." With that her eye contact died as she started to braid her hair, the length it was at was just past her now safely cover chest. She looked down at her knees. The woman was beautiful, like if sugar were to have a human form. She even had freckles! Gabby rubbed at her glasses as they fogged up.

"It's okay if you're a little sick, I hear hot springs are good for your health, likely make your throat feel better with all this steam and fresh air..." She stopped, Like hell she was going to spout trivia this round! She was a grown woman she could talk to a person normally, at least she didn't start talking about all the hot springs out there centered for health reasons alone. She nodded to herself as she snuck another shy peek at the pretty sugar princess. "I'm Gabrielle, Gabby for short. Nice to meet you Miss laryngitis, heh" She wrinkled her nose at her own joke as she busied herself with her wet braid once more.

Power naps. They were an essential to the modern insomniac, and not even a Nightmare demon could go too long without succumbing to the heaviness that came with sleep deprivation, the weight of exhaustion bearing down harder with each passing hour. After his nightly feeding, Malvo Raske Thanasis found himself plagued with a restlessness, but uninterested in the things that he usually did for entertainment. Why he decided to go into work at three o’clock in the morning to get a running start on cataloguing the new shipment of books that had come in the day prior was beyond even his comprehension. He managed to get halfway through entering them into the system when he grew weary, sluggishly making his way to the comfy lounge chaise that he had put in his office for the sole purpose of sneaking in a nap or two during the day. But despite the fact that his eyes were closed and his breathing deliberately slow and even, sleep evaded him due to his ever wandering thoughts. Gianni had become very distant, and--while he would not admit it to anyone aloud--her absence disturbed the chaotic equilibrium that he had somehow achieved over the years of his residency on this peaceful island.

At first, he figured that she was merely busy, perhaps still grieving the loss of her grandmother. Raske had never had a family to lose, so his ability to empathize over the death of loved ones was rather lacking. He knew only that it took some time for people to move past it. With that thought came a frustrated huff of air as the demon adjusted on the lounge, letting his leg drape over the side languidly. Unwarranted, the memory of his first encounter with death came barreling to the forefront of his mind. He had been ten at the time, working at a factory that dealt in textiles. A pretty little girl around his age was attending the drawing frame. He hadn’t known her name, but every now and again their eyes would meet across the floor and she would offer a brief smile--and that smile had sometimes been the highlight of his day.

Then one morning, a blood-curdling screech heralded her imminent death as her apron was snagged by the shaft that turned the frames. He was a helpless specter, watching in horror as she was dashed against the floor, crimson spraying, pooling on the floor, bones crunching and flesh squelching with every turn, the shaft only yielding when her body succeeded in jamming it. At the time, he had been mortified, his own fear expanding inside of him like an inflatable balloon that threatened to split him open at the seams; it cracked his sanity, instead. While he did not quite recall grieving the loss of this stranger, he did remember the cold feeling that traveled down his spine when he would look up--days, weeks, months passed--to be reminded that he would never again meet her gaze. Perhaps, he thought in a rare moment of clarity as black began to creep about the edges of his mind, that was close enough.

When Raske next opened his eyes, it was time to open the Library. It was a cushy job, being the Head Librarian--much easier than anything else he had to do, if a bit mundane. He enjoyed the quiet order that abounded in his establishment, keeping everything neat and organized as opposed to the state of his home (which was, in contrast, a swirling vortex of entropy that only he could navigate, let alone find anything in). Raske was in the process of setting up the New Releases when the familiar face of the town’s doctor, Cassius, graced the library with his presence. He poked his head over the mid-sized shelf that he was kneeled by and quirked a brow at the man with what was supposed to be a smirk (but looked more like a sneer). “Goodt afternoon, doctor. Ve have shipment of books just arrive, yesterdey.” Raske greeted with a gesture towards the shelves in front of him before putting up the sign that advertised them. Only after the words left his lips did he realize that he had fumbled that statement a bit, but he brushed it off.

He turned his attention, then, to the part-timer who had come in to cover for Gabby, Freya. The frown that graced his features was more sever than he intended, his sharp gaze penetrating her. "You’re leyt,” he commented simply. The girl fumbled awkwardly before Raske held his hand up and sniffed the air. He could smell food. That was one of his amazing abilities--sniffing out edible foodstuffs. Hot damn, Lisset brought him lunch! If he was a perky fellow, he would have clicked his heels; however, he was not…and settled for an ecstatic whoop and practically skipped to the back room. "Lunch. Man de front dyesk,” he said over his shoulder to the part-timer before disappearing to retrieve his lunchbox, knowing exactly which one of the three was his without having to look inside. One of these days, he would give her a raise…maybe…

Raske never was a slow eater. When he lived in the ramshackle, there were times when the men would fight over portions of gruel--as unappetizing as it was--and he learned to eat quickly. It was around that time that his body craved more than human food, his body growing, embracing his genetic code. He didn’t have anyone around to guide him during this time, to tell him that he needed to feed off of the anguish of those around him (of which there was plenty). It amused him how some habits were hard to shake. He breathed a heavy sigh when his box was empty and grudgingly cleaned up his mess before the slight tremor in his hands reminded him that he was in need of a smoke break. He almost looked for Lissette to tell her to keep the other girl in-check when he remembered that she had other things to do. Poppy’s birthday couldn’t prepare itself (though, the idea of cakes mixing and self-baking was a novelty that made his stomach growl despite the fact that he had just eaten).

After giving instructions to Freya, the librarian made his way outside, lighting up a neatly-packed ‘cigarette’ infused with the intoxicating petals of the death flower. He inhaled deeply, feeling the smoke fill his lungs, clouding his senses. Exhale. He checked his watch and his jaw set with determination. To hell with giving her space. With that thought, he took another drag of his cigarette and began walking.

Dun hate me. Q n Q Raske loves food.

Noel was happy to hear a soft voice for what seemed like the first time that day, not that he was complaining about any of the precious guests he'd had. Noel was use to the way Sam acted around him by that point, Jaida's reaction to him had been unexpected, but for some reason he felt responsible for the reaction, and Romulus was just Romulus. Noel sighed softly, then quickly straightened his back. He listened to the Vet assistant's order, nodding with a smile as she agreed to buy some of the pastries. Noel reached under the display where many individual shelves held different sized bags, and collapsed boxes. Noel took two of the smallest boxes from underneath that would only hold four pastries each. Noel folded the boxes, and grabbed a pair of tongs from outside of the baking display . Noel placed four of each pastry into a box, and closed the boxes, setting them down next to the register.

Next came the latte, okay making a simple coffee was one thing, but Noel was still not a barista, and didn't know how to make everything they did. Noel sighed, he knew where everything was, and how to make a few drinks. Noel grabbed a medium sized cup, and began to put the drink together the best that he could, if it tasted off there was no way the boss man could blame him. Noel set the fixed drink down, and began ringing up the order, he read off the total when complete, and placed the money in the register when it was given to him. "Thank you for stopping by, I'm sorry to cut things short, but as you heard earlier I have a cake to finish". Noel explained referring to Romulus's earlier visit to the bakery. With that Noel turned on his heel, and headed to the back kitchen.

The ovens had been running since earlier that morning, so Noel did not have to preheat it. The baker started with making a large pound cake, first mixing the dry ingredients, then the wet until finally bringing everything together. Noel popped the cake into the oven, pulling it out only when he could poke a toothpick into the cake and having it come out clean. Noel sculpted the pound cake into a basic mushroom shape, then coated the whole thing in buttercream icing, which also acted as a glue to keep the two parts together. Noel dyed a piece of fondant a soft pink color after putting the mushroom base together, and flattened the fondant. Noel layered the fondant neatly over the mushroom top, then used various circle cutters to cut out little, white polka dots with extra white fondant. Noel used leftover buttercream to glue the fondant circles all around the top of the mushroom. Noel used more white fondant to wrap the base of the mushroom, then cut out little pink windows, and placed them a couple inches from each other.

Noel took a piping back ,and selected a tip that would allow him to create what would be grass that was growing around the mushroom. After piping the grass into place, Noel began sculpting tiny flowers all along the grass bits, and the surrounding area. Noel gave a huff of victory as he stepped back a few times, and began to admire his creation. After a moment Noel carefully lifted the cake off the counter, and scuttled very slowly to the fridge. Noel slipped the cake inside, and sighed in relief as he finally shut the clear fridge door, and proceeded to press his forehead against it.

Blake had just got out when the girl told her to stop. Was she okay now? She didn't want to make her feel uncomfortable again. That was the last thing she wanted actually. Blake wasn't one to make people feel bad or insecure. If anything, she hoped that people would feel more secure being around her. The fact that she couldn't talk and given the way she looked, she thought that she seemed like one of those people that was either approachable or safe to be around. It wasn't like she could hurt anyone, even if she wanted to try. Seeing the girl sit on the edge, Blake decided to do the same. Grabbing her towel, she wrapped it around her waist and sat on the edge of the pool tucking the towel in so it wouldn't move as much. Bringing her hands up to her white mop, she pushed it back with her fingers almost into a poof of sorts.

Blake shook her head when she thanked her and gave her a little shrug. It was no big deal really. If she would have needed help with something, she would have appreciated someone else helping her as well. It just seemed like the right thing to do. When the girl brought up something about her being sick and the springs being able to help, she laughed softly and looked down into the water with a small smile. She'd heard it a lot, but it was so cute hearing the girl genuinely think she was sick. Having no voice mixed with her porcline complexion and build, she probably did look a bit sickly in comparison to most people. Blake wasn't the jealous type, but Gabby was beautiful in her book. Dark skin and beautiful beaming eyes. Blake was basically a walking china doll. She'd accepted it long ago, so it was really no big deal. Still, she couldn't help but admire the girl across from her.

Blake shook her head and remembered when she'd "spoke" before by mouthing. "No voice," she mouthed slowly enough that she would be able to understand each word properly. She tried to speak to demonstrate and shook her head. When the girl introduced herself, she suddenly realized she would need to hope this girl could continuously read lips, or she needed to come up with a better idea to communicate. Blake wore a small smile giving a nod to her and laughing again at her joke of being sick. "Blake," she mouthed simply still searching for a better way to speak with the girl. Paper would just get wet. She could act, but that may just end up looking strange...hmm...Well, until she came up with something better, she would just have to mouth. Hopefully not too much got lost in translation. She would just speak a bit slower. "I am new. How long have you been here?" Blake scooted a bit closer waiting with her to answer with a gentle smile.

LOCATION (The Beach) THOUGHTS (Nothing like a nice swim even though it's a bit cool outside!) COMPANY (No one at the moment) OUTFIT (Outfit)

All that could be seen from the bed was a scattered messed of red hair. The blankets and pillows were scattered about the bed and floor. Suddenly....BEEP BEEP BEEP! The girl gasped pulling her face from the pillow and covering her ears. Whining she began to throw her hand about searching for the button. Finally, she somehow manage to hit it only barely seeing it through sleep filled eyes. Pulling herself to her knees, she yawned and sighed just sitting up for a bit. Beauty sleep was...well not real. At least in Tallon's case. She felt bad for whatever man or woman ended up with her. Not only did she move around at night, but she woke up with a fuzz ball of hair, usually left over make up on her eyes, and the occasionally droll dried to the side of her face. Oh, and we can forget crease marks from her pillows and blankets. That was attractive too.

Dragging herself from her bed to the floor, she looked to the bed feeling a bit bad. Those maids were going to hate her one of these days. They probably already did. She'd been living there for awhile now. Houses were just so expensive! She didn't have that kind of cash on hand! Walking into the bathroom, she looked in the mirror before grabbing a brush with a smirk. "Okay old friend. Let's do this." Tallon grabbed a section of her fuzzy mess and brought the brush to it practically yanking at her hair to get out the knots. "Son of-," she grumbled. And of course, she would drop the occasional f-bomb to start off her morning. Grabbing a pony tail, she pulled back her now smooth hair back into a tight high pony tail a chuck of some shorter hair falling as bangs. A swim sounded nice this morning.

Going to her dresser, she pulled out some clothes she could wear for work and then found her bikini. Pulling over the over sized shirt she'd found to wear for her sleepwear, she tied up the top and slipped on the bottoms before pulling on a pair of jeans over the top and a plaid long sleeved shirt. Honestly, with the weather, she didn't really like wearing long sleeved things, but after awhile the burns from the sparks got annoying, so she'd taken to wearing clothing that covered a bit more skin. It wasn't like it hurt overly bad, it just got annoying being burned nearly every day though he boss didn't seem to care, but that wasn't really surprising. He was...different. She liked him but he was just...a little more than aggressive. That was the nice way of putting it. Packing up a few granola bars and a towel with a few other essentials, she locked the door and set out for the beach.

Hopping on her bike, she rode towards the beach with a small smile looking at the island as she rode. She loved being here. Everything was so pretty and most of the people were awesome. She couldn't really even imagine being anywhere else. Once she got to the beach, she looked at the time. God she'd slept late. Too late. It was already near lunch. Oh well. She couldn't get the hours back anyway. So, why dwell on it. Right? Stepping into the sand with her bare feet, she sighed and smiled unbuttoning her jeans and pulling them off. Doing the same with her shirt, she let it fall into the sand. It wasn't anything special. Just a striped black and white bikini. Though what was probably more interesting was the dragon tattoo slithering up her ribs or the multiple faded scars that wrapped around her body. She didn't care. Hiding that sort of stuff was stupid. She wouldn't ever be able to go out. So why try?

Running to the water, she stepped in slowly stiffening slightly at the chill before diving out and going under. Getting more used to it, she pulled her head out with a deep breath and slicked her bangs back. "Ah. Now, to swim!" And with that, she started to swim away from the island.

OOC: Hope it's okay! Possibly adding to the layout.

███ ` LOCAL DOCTOR

Cassius scanned the library noticing the usual staff was not present, Cassius was especially disappointed that the assistant was missing; there was some unknown girl filling in for her. Cassius had known the girl since she was a small strange, it might seem strange to some, but the doctor favored the girl like a niece or a little sister. The demon nodded at the skittish women manning the front desk, but made no effort to smile or appear pleasant. It would not matter after a while as Cassius attention was soon drawn in by the head librarian addressing him, the words in the man's thick Russian accent took a brief second to register in the demon's mind, "I appreciate the heads up, I will only be dropping a book off, perhaps later" Cassius answered politely. The doctor's attention turned back to the women filling in for the library assistant, he set the book down in front of her and watched patiently as she went through the short process of marking it as returned. "Have a wonderful rest of the day" Cassius mused in a soft voice as he made his exit from the building.

The doctor strode softly back to work, he glanced at the clock once arriving. Cassius had not been missing for long, but almost immediately after entering the hospital he was ambushed by the receptionist. The female receptionist explained that there was someone waiting for him to treat them, she also went into slight detail about the issue, the patient had hurt their hand. Cassius dismissed the receptionist, allowing her to return to her duties while he strode over to the two people sitting patiently in the waiting room. "Gin Geraldine, I apologize for the wait" Cassius began in a calm tone. He observed the green haired elf for a moment. The doctor immediately locked on to her hand, the pale flesh of the afflicted area had reddened, and discolored the deeper it went in. Cassius wondered if she'd dropped something on it, or got it caught in a door, unfortunately Cassius was not a mind reader, and neither did he possess the ability to see through flesh with his eyes, so he couldn't gauge just how bad the injury was.

Cassius lifted one of his hands, palm out, and offered it to the green haired elf. The doctor channeled some of his magic into the center of his palm, making his skin chill. The effects of the magic were not obvious to the naked eye, but if one were to touch his skin at that moment they would feel as if they were touching solid ice. It may of not been a long term treatment, but it would prove to be a temporary relief, if the elf chose to allow him to hold her hand, "Give me your afflicted hand Miss Geraldine, please I do not intend to bring you any harm" Cassius softened his voice, making it more gentle than the usual different tone it carried. "We're going to go take an x-ray of your hand so that we can see the extend of the damage, then I will decide whether it needs to placed in a cast, brace, or otherwise" Cassius explained his intentions. The demon than glanced at the male that was accompanying his patient, "I regret to inform you that unless this man is related to you that he may not come with us. Is he a your relative?" Cassius questioned curiously, the two looked nothing alike, but they very well could be extended family, step-siblings, or even married. It was always good to ask.

Hm. Sapphira greeted the dawn with a rather vacant expression. As usual, she was awake as the sun was; she had a punctual spirit and the sun assisted her cycle. She shuffled out of bed and commenced some stretches to get her blood flowing and her brain thinking. She recalled her schedule: no events were to occur today, no solid appointments were expected, and the most she would need to look out for was the possible shipment of some items. Twisting her spine lightly a few times, she brought herself back to a basic standing position for a few deep breaths. Yes, she was ready. The rest of her routine went smoothly, and soon she was headed out. By her calculations, she could be to work an hour before opening. Perfect. Sapphira settled in to her office, taking her time because she knew she had it.

Some time passed; before too long afternoon was approaching. Sapphira had only started to wonder where her assistant could have ended up. While she was more than capable of handling things on her own in this slow stretch, she still expected the woman to do her job. Sapphira gave nothing more than a sigh; it was doubtful she'd even chew the woman out later. Let her enjoy herself, at least one of them could. If it persisted, well... Sapphira was in charge of Jezebel's paycheck. She wasn't ahead of a little deduction.

She sat back in her chair and glanced up at the clock. It was amazing how both long and short lifetimes could seem... And for an elf like herself, she'd developed a bit of a love-hate relationship with the concept of time. Days like today caused the second hand to seemingly lag... She studied it make a full revolution before finally taking notice of its partners. Almost exactly noon. She quietly but distinctly arranged everything on her desk before retrieving the lunch she'd brought. Sure, she could go out, usually the town had much better food, but as it seemed today wasn't meant to hold much excitement. She thought for a moment before deciding to retrieve the latest book she'd been reading. She quietly recalled its cover, not wanting to disturb the stillness of the office area. She paced out into the lobby, noting the sun rays that poured across the floor through the windows. It really couldn't hurt...

After a few moments, she found herself out the doors, walking toward a place she found rather peaceful: the beach. If she was lucky, it would be vacant, and she could read Deeper into the Wilderness while the waves made white noise in the background. There was a time or two she'd thrown starfish and bivalves back into the water that had the misfortune of washing up on shore; that could be considered work, couldn't it? Of course, her mind just wanted to keep herself busy. She sighed with the slightest hint of a smile on her lips.

The moment she made it to the beach, she thought she was alone. She settled right down into the grass that bordered the sand, digging her shoes into the grains. Her eyes scanned the blue, and then... That's when she finally noticed the other woman. Red hair bobbing along the surface was hard not to miss, how had she not caught that right away? There were clothes resting on the shore, even, which were probably hers. Sapphira had to think if she knew the person she was staring at. She knew of two redheads, the lamya and the chief, and she had no way of knowing if the swimmer was the latter. "Marina??" Sapphira's voice was generally quiet; she tried using one of her hands to help her voice carry. She was acquainted with the officer and respected a fellow elf; she felt comfortable enough to call out to her. "Be sure to watch out for sea creatures..." As the vet of the town, Sapphira wanted to demote the idea of harming an animal, even if it was a fierce attacker. Best to avoid confrontation in the first place, right? Honestly Sapphira hadn't seen many sea "beasts" from her residence on Sanitas, but there was always a chance several had found their way to the area.

≫≫≫ Salt, sun, blisters, an unfathomable thirst, never ending hunger. A life that seemed to never stop, eyes staring up at the never ending clear sky. Prayers begged for clouds to shield the harsh rays of sunlight, maybe even a drop of water that could save his life. For many days, the prayers would go unanswered. Sea life stirred around him, a fin of the beast off in the distance, just waiting for the lone survivor to give in. Weak eyes stared up at the sun, giving in to his coming fate. All seemed lost... All was lost.

≫≫≫ Loto's body jolted awake, his chest heaving heavily from the vivid memories that had plagued his dreams. He placed a hand across his chest, closing his eyes and taking in a breath to calm himself. Seventy-four days of being lost at sea could do a lot to a person. He has been completely alone, only the sharks around to keep him company. Honestly he should have gone insane... It must be a gift from god that he is still alive. Though, even he still wonders if he should be alive. Was it an accident that he was found, or was it destiny? He has only been on this island for a few weeks, learning many things about the world that he never even knew were possible. There were tall buildings made out of complete stone and lights that lit up without fire. People were not starving for food, nor did they go out and hunt for it. But the strangest thing, was that no one here tried to push him away. Back on his home island, he was not allowed to look or speak to anyone... Yet the people here would try to talk to him as if he were just another member of their tribe. Why was he not outcasted? It was a mystery he cannot figure out. Aren't they afraid of him? Won't he curse them if their eyes meet or some how give them his own sickness? Everything that he has ever known has crumbled into complete nothingness upon being found on his final day in that boat.

≫≫≫ Slowly the small structured boy sat up, having been taking a nap in his boat by the dock. He was too attached to his life saving vessel that he still often returned to it. The tribe here was kind enough to keep it for him, even if it were mostly a piece of trash. It seems though that since he has recovered he has asked to continue his job as a fisher. Of course he obliged with this request, after all they had been so kind to him. It was the least he could do.
≫≫≫Loto watched the sun glisten off of the water, his red eyes seeming to be somewhat captivated by the serenity of it all. How could water be so beautiful, yet all the more dangerous? He cast his eyes away, looking down to his hands. Since he had been saved he had began to accumulate more of his body weight back. His sun blisters and burns had been treated, all of his body functions back to normal. He was not exactly sure how they were able to magically cure him, but even if he wanted to know he could not ask. This tribe was very advanced unlike what he has ever seen before in his life. When he had first woken up he thought he had died and was in the after life. Maybe it is, he himself was not sure. Everyone spoke in a different tongue that he could not comprehend, making communication a major difficulty. All he could do was listen to all the strange words that floated around him, not understanding a word of any of it. If this were the after life, then why was everything so confusing? Why was he still hurting from his past burdens? Isn't death supposed to a release from all things? Maybe he had been wrong about the afterlife. A sigh heaved from his lungs, looking down solemnly to his bare feet. When he had arrived he was given an entire pair of new clothes, but he often preferred to have his feet bare. Along with the clothing was a bottle of some sort of liquid. The healer (Doctor) had some how explained that it would protect his skin from the sunlight. Of course, Loto was still skeptical of this liquid, wondering if it indeed worked. But he remained with his old ways of living, wearing a long sleeved shirt and shorts. He stayed in the shady areas of the town so that the sun would not be concentrated on his skin, and even now the shade given off by the dock kept him safe while he napped on his boat.

≫≫≫With a soft grunt, Loto stood up on his feet, his eyes steering to look up towards the sunny sky. A day like this would be perfect for fishing.. But today he would wait. While on this island, he had become the fisher but he also was given a helper. He had never fished with anyone before, so the experience was new, but it was a nice one. The man was a quiet person and knew of Loto's strange condition, yet he would stay close to Loto's side and fish out on his boat with him. At the moment, Loto was not sure of where the man was (He has yet to quite figure out how to pronounce his name as well), but he knew for sure that he was not to go out without him. So instead, he kept himself isolated from the rest of the town and hid in his boat in hopes that no one would see him. After all, he still thinks he is not allowed to be by others, given the nature of his birth...

Anthony made a sworn promise to both of his sisters that he would avoid fighting. It the only way his anger isn’t controlled. Luckily Marina was there and Sheryl was as well. Tony kept his breathing relatively steady. Sheryl had gotten up to assure Baby it was alright.

"Last I checked, this woman was a free creature, but feel free to come take her from me. I personally think proposing some undying love in the middle of the day over brunch is a pretty ******** desperate cry for help, but ya know, if that's what you call the perfect time - I think this is a deity punching you in the face with a 'Hell ******** no, retard.'"

Ha. Luckily he doesn’t know s**t of what was going on between them. He snorted a laugh and just quirked a brow. They he really ******** think he was all that? If he wanted he could whoop his as in a second. Even if he were a be rusty in the fighting department beating up the ginger would be quick. Deep inside, he just ticked him even more. Only then while keeping himself sane did Sheryl kissed him making him open his eyes wide. Just as she moved away, he covered his mouth area just to save himself any more embarrassment if he was red as a tomato. What did it really mean? Did she understand he confessed back at her? Or was she just teasing? It was possibly both with the woman. Tony watched as she handled the man while he still covered his mouth. He was feeling his heart beat up in his throat. But was a bit more relax as he knew and understood Sheryl’s intentions. Though he still wasn’t pleased the day he thought of was pretty much ruined. Tony’s eyes were kept on Romulus and his words. He even disregarded the lady and picked her up like a sack of potatoes. Again, an eyebrow went up, Baby said something, but apparently yes he could do that. Anthony rolled his eyes and just wanted this to be over. The ginger was such a drama addict. Everywhere he went it was a mess. Maybe he needed something up his a** to get him to shut the ******** up.

Sheryl was kind enough to wave at him like a little girl waiting to be caught. In all honesty he still wanted to kick the hell out of Romulus. A few second before he could leave Marina had used her tazer, something that brought great delight to the werewolf. Anthony’s shoulders jumped as he silently laughed holding it in. “HaHA.” Covering his mouth he muffled the sound. Romulus twitched as he fell and Sheryl had fallen first. Anthony quickly looked over her and she seemed fine, nothing that a few minutes wouldn’t shake off. Sheryl had walked over to him and whispered to him.

"I zink we s'ould 'elp 'im find Lotus."

The last thing he wanted to do. Anthony’s lips were a tight line. He wasn’t pleased but he didn’t want Sheryl to be with that beast alone. Sigh. “Yeah, I probably can. It’d be quicker if I come along...” He bit his tongue once inside his mouth. She kissed his cheek and he just gave a smile, he really didn’t have a choice in his mind. Then she offered his prize. Intimate prize and a nibble to the ear. Really? He was a bit embarrassed as it was. Tony kept a straight face ignoring the tickle that came from his ear down to his neck. “It better be a ******** great prize. So why not both?” He stood up, took her hand and began walking to the cursing twitching ginger. “I think the Goddess just punched with a ‘Hell ******** no’. Don’t you think? This will be over quickly.” Tony headed to the door and noticed a bell. Romulus was looking for a bell and strangely enough there was a bell on the door. Reaching to open the door he swiftly took it and shoved it in his pocket, avoiding to make any sound with it. Once outside he looked to the inside. “Thanks Marina!” He gave her a thumbs up high in the air and just turn to wait and think about the girl. Lotus, the nymph and the grocery store owner. He remembered the most in her horns and her peculiar scent. “Cherry… I’ll help him just this once ‘cause we aren’t done talking. Where does she usually run off to. I mean isn’t she a nymph? She could be in the forest by now…” Tony silently took a big wiff and exhaled. He did it a few times. The restaurant was pretty far away from the mountain so they’d have to be closer for him to catch her quicker. Without a thought he just started walking in that direction.
