Excitement was overpowering the feeling of exhaustion. Keldeo had just arrived at Stark Mountian and was excited for his long journey from the Unova region to the Sinnoh region to finally be over. Keldeo had traveled far to get here, all in hopes to avoid human contact completely. He had enough of the greediness and the violence that humans expressed. He had lost his first home and now his second because of them. In order to rid himself of all human contact, he had to cross treacherous seas. Lucky enough, being a water type Pokemon came in handy. As Keldeo shook his mane, his eyes scanned the area carefully. It seemed like this place was fairly empty. He didn’t blame anyone, who would want to be right by the ocean like this? Especially when there was a whole island to explore. However, it was still morning and maybe the Pokemon of Stark Mountian were just simply sleeping? Keldeo snorted and then took a few steps forward.

The colt like Pokemon was not enjoying the autumn weather at all. It was far too cold for his liking. Moving forward, he thought he might as well start his journey farther into the island and rest later. As he moved forward, he spotted a sign that read ‘Survival Area’. “What is a Survival Area?” He questioned towards himself. Whatever it was, he was about to find out. As he moved into the area he immediately spotted houses. Yes, houses. Which normally meant humans. Darting back into the bushes, almost trembling in fear. He peeked his head out and looked over the buildings. There was no movement in them what so ever. He blinked a few times and it was clear that it was all abandoned. He sighed in relief, no longer worried that his trip here was for nothing. Keldeo took slow strides forward, his eyes scanning and observing the area. “Well, this is pretty lame!” He snorted out loud in a disapproving voice. Where were all the Pokemon?! This was not what Keldeo expect at all!

Silently, effortlessly, Persian glided over the ground as she prowled through the forest. On her back, a sleeping gligar was balanced carefully. Occasionally, one of her ears would flutter as it took in a sound, but she did not respond to it, her face a blank expression as she continued on. Sometimes her nostrils would flare while catching a scent, but that did not deter her from her path either.

Upon the surface, it appeared that she wasn't very different from the other pokemon around her. She was searching for prey... but, unlike other pokemon, it wasn't merely to satisfy hunger. The spoils of her hunts also fed her curiosity for anatomy. She, and gligar too, loved to dissect different kinds of pokemon to see what made them work, what made them tick, what made them alive. Pulling a pokemon apart into tiny pieces was the most satisfying thing in the world for Persian... she always had a burning desire within her to cut and study.

She stopped suddenly as a strange, unique scent filtered into her nose. For an almost agonizingly long amount of time, she inhaled the sickeningly sweet scent, as if she were trying to pinpoint where it was, or guess where it was coming from. Really, she was trying to decide whether or not to pursue it. Eventually, she continued to prowl along, but her direction had changed from its original course.

After a few minutes of silent walking, she came to the source of the sugary scent: a slurpuff and some combees. Most of the smell came from the slurpuff, but the combees only added to it. The odor made Persian crinkle her nose from how disgustingly sweet it was. She was definitely not a fan of desert.

Persian had never examined a slurpuff before, so she quickly decided that this pokemon would be her victim. With a shake of her rump, she sent the gligar on her back onto the ground, where he would not hinder her attack. The thud of the little scorpion-bat pokemon's body hitting the earth was the only sound that could have given her away as she leaped at the meringue pokemon and teared at it [Slash] with her sharp claws. She did not care much about those combees and assumed that Gligar would dispatch them, so she did not bother attacking them at all.

Penny for your thoughts? Hope this is okay. 8l

Houndoom devoured the Ferret quickly, assuming that the ghost pokemon would appear any second to challenge him for his prize. Surprisingly, the pokemon never showed, leaving the hound to consume every edible portion of the unlucky pokemon. Even with all the flesh swallowed and a good majority of the marrow licked from within the bones, it was a paltry meal. When he was with his family, they frequently enjoyed much larger game. They enjoyed eating far more often than the dispersal hound could hope for as well. Alas, he had yet to reclaim his power, and so such meals would likely be the norm for him for the time being.

When the Ferret had clearly given all the nourishment it could offer, Houndoom left the ramshackle building he'd hid in. With the edge of his hunger dulled, the pain from his fall from the low cliff made itself more known. There were only a few scrapes from the fall, but their presence inflamed the older wounds from his banishment. His fight side felt as if it were on fire. To add to the annoyance, a loud cacophony of buzzing and small, annoying voices assaulted Houndoom's ears as he left the structure.

Shadow followed the noise to its source, a giant wall of weakling pokemon known as Combee. The idiotic pests didn't even have the caution to look behind them as they blocked some perceived threat. With the nauseating sweet smell exhibited from the wall of pests, Houndoom couldn't tell if the thing bothering them was a charizard or a tumbleweed. The hound pokemon sprinted towards the wall, flames building in his maw. Shadow jumped onto a rocky ledge created to border an ancient dwelling and jumped towards the annoying wall. Just as he went for the final leap, his side convulsed and denied him control over his right legs. With humiliating incompetence, Shadow crashed into the sturdy wall of Combees and rebounded into the dirt. A mouthful of dirt extinguished the flames he'd prepared.

                                        • Having worn himself out over the previous hunt, Sting the Gligar had fallen asleep soon after his satisfying meal. The Stantler he and Persian had taken down together had proved to be delicious, but because of his small size, his stomach could only take so much meat. After his meal, with his belly bulging comically, Sting had burped loudly and promptly fell asleep on the spot. Thankfully, his “mother” Persian did not leave her little poisoner behind. That was how the strange sight of a little Gligar balanced on a Persian’s back came to be.

Sting was in such a deep slumber that he did not notice the Slurpuff’s sweet scent, nor did he notice the sickeningly sweet scent of the Combee colony. He was busy mumbling incoherently in his sleep, dribble running from his open mouth down onto Persian’s fur. No doubt his mother was not going to be pleased with him once she realises.

Sting was dreaming about sinking his fangs into the nice fat rump of a Tauros when he found himself rudely awoken with a hard smack on his head. His eyes snapped open, and to his shock the world was upside down to him. He had landed on his head after Persian dropped him on the ground, and it took him a few long moments to register that he was not the right way up. Needless to say, he was not the most intelligent pokemon on Stark Mountain. With his head on the ground and his feet in the air, Sting blinked in surprise as he slowly took in his surroundings. ”Aww, rump.” He muttered under his breath in misery as he realised that his Tauros rump was not in the plane of reality. One day perhaps, but not today.

As if by magic, a white colt-like pokemon suddenly entered his view. It was Keldeo, and the colt pokemon seemed lost somehow. Sting instantly bounced backwards onto his feet with renewed vigour, his eyes wide as a Bouffalant’s hooves. His gaze was fixed unblinkingly on Keldeo’s rump, taking in how round and fleshy it looked. His tongue lolled out in anticipation, and saliva dripped off its tip onto the ground in a small puddle. He had eaten not too long ago, but he was already hungry from the sight of Keldeo’s delicious rump.

Sting snapped his wings open and glided upwards, folding his wings and dropping onto Keldeo’s face from the sky. It was a favourite tactic of Gligars and Gliscors, as it usually takes an enemy by surprise. His stinger curled up, poised to strike and drive its paralysing venom into Keldeo’s skin.

Keldeo watched his surroundings closely. That was the first thing he was ever taught with the ‘Swords of Justice’. He needed to be well aware of his surrounds for that fact that pokemon could be around or what he could use around him if he got engaged in a battle. With a grunt, he walked forward and spotted a few Pokemon. Most of them were keeping to their selves.. Others however seemed to be hunting another Pokemon or fighting them. Keldeo watched in awe, unsure of where he should go. His eyes fixed on Houndoom who seemed to be battling against a bunch of Combee. Whatever that dumb dog Pokemon did must’ve really pissed of Combee. Keldeo snorted, and his eyes turned towards Persian who took an attack towards Slurpuff. Keldeo’s eyes widened and he took a step forward. Was that large pokemon really going to pick on the small, sweet Slurpuff? Keldeo snorted and lowered his head, ready to charge at the Persian to keep it from eating the poor Slurpuff however, out of the corner of his eyes, and a flick of his ears there was a Pokemon coming towards him. He panicked and kicked his back legs out, and emerging from his back hooves was a powerful jet stream of water [hydro pump]. In attempts to hit the attacking Pokemon. However, it seemed that today was not Keldeos day.

His aim was far off from hitting the attacking Pokemon. It went right underneath the attacker. Keldeo spun around and jumped back and snorted as he eyed the purple Pokemon whom he had yet to fully identify. It didn’t take long for Keldeo to recognize that his attacker was a Gligar. “WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE!” Keldeo shouted and stamped his front hoof. He lowered his head in almost an intimidating way, displaying his horn. “Go, before I beat you into the ground! I have more important things to do then battle you. I need to save that Slurpuff from that dumb cat!” Keldeo shouted and watched the Gligar hoping that it was smart enough to take off. If the flying Pokemon wasn’t smart enough, Keldeo would just have to battle it! He’d definitely win!

Noia yawned as she rapidly beat her little wings, trying her best to keep her eyes and ears open wide so she didn’t wind up running into any trees as she navigated the forest surrounding the Survival Area. It had been a somewhat chilly morning so far what with the wind making it only more difficult for the smaller Noibat to fly steadily, though the trees blocked out most of the wind. The cold made the little bat pokémon drowsy, and all she wanted to do was find somewhere to roost and tightly wrap her wings about her so she could nap in the warmth of her own body heat. She had been traveling about for some days now, too, only adding to her sleepy state. Her parents had finally deemed her old enough (despite still being a relatively weak pokémon) to venture out on her own. Not that she hadn’t ever ventured out before, she simply couldn’t go very far since she had to be back home to the cave on Stark Mountain before it was time to sleep. Now she had the freedom to explore the rest of the island and see what different types of pokémon there were out there and maybe even see a human! Ultimately her goal was to get strong enough so she could fly away from the island and explore other lands, but that would be a long ways off in the future for this little Noibat.

As she got closer to the Survival Area, a place that she had ventured to before and hoped to find a place to rest at, her large and sensitive ears detected a bit of a commotion going on. Her ears swiveled atop her head, zoning out exactly where the strange buzzing and other loud voices were coming from. She ducked and swerved through the trees in pursuit of the sounds until she came to the edge of a clearing. Landing on a bough, she gripped the bark with her clawed feet and allowed herself to hang upside down to watch the scene before her unfold inverted. She arrived in time to see the swarm of combee further ahead surrounding some other pokémon, a gooey-looking and sweet-smelling pink blob (Slurpuff, not a pokemon she’d ever seen or met before), and a Houndoom which she’d seen a few of before living closer to Stark Mountain. They must have angered the hive somehow. Seems silly that such sweet pokémon like combee would have such sour tempers, hehe. She thought, giggling to herself.

Her fit of giggles was abruptly interrupted by a forceful pillar of water that nearly knocked her from her branch. Luckily she’d been quick enough to see it coming and swung herself up on top of the branch. “Phew! That was a liiittle close. Too chilly to be wet today.” She muttered aloud, searching for the source of the hydro pump. Her wide, yellow topaz eyes locked onto another unfamiliar pokémon with a flowy mane and a horn atop its head (Keldeo) that was confronting a Gligar that looked like it had tried to attack the other. Curious of what was going on and oblivious to any possible consequences of interrupting the little spat, Noia flew over to the two pokémon. Steadily flapping to hover above the duo, she tilted her head in a questioning manner as she looked back and forth between them. “What’s all the fuss about?” She asked simply. She hadn’t noticed the Persian heading off to stalk the Slurpuff so was confused by the pony-like pokémon’s apparent urgency.

ooc: Lame first post to get this little turd involved. Hope it's ok. :P // EDITED: Just to adjust level and HP accordingly based on Echo's announcement.

Once Sprinkles had determined that she had put enough distance between herself and whatever danger was looming by, she began to relax. (Boy was that a major wailord sized mistake!) Slowing her pace down a bit she tried to enjoy the forest before her. Sure it was mainly all still new to her, but things were not all bad here. It was like a vacation, she had told herself; a very long permanent vacation. Surely things could be a lot worse.

It was then of course that an angry, growing buzzing started building proving that very point to her. Her disposal of one of the many, many combee drones must have finally gone noticed for they were suddenly all gathering around to form some sort of natural blockade. Sprinkles face dropped to a frown as she wondered why they had all gathered and what the heck they were going to do. The many alerted insects were making a fuss about something or other. The whole message seemed a bit lost amidst all the urgent voices and tiny wings flapping away.

Putting her tiny paws on her muffin top shaped body she let out an exasperated sigh, “You really ought to try speaking one at a time if you ever hope for anybody to understand a word you are saying.” Why she was bothering to try and communicate with what was most likely going to be lunch in a few minutes, she could not say. Maybe she just had gone for too long without any good company. Heck, she could hardly remember when the last time was that she got in a good joke or two. She might have gotten scolded in the past for playing with her food, but here on the island it was really important to enjoy the little things while you could, so why the heck not? “Not that I think you will or anything,” she informed the interlocked wall, ”but things will probably bee a lot easier for you guys if you buzz off. You really don’t want to bug somebody like me, honeys

She howled with laughter at her own stupid jokes. Oh things were so much better when you went through life happy! Or at least it would have been nice if that was the case, for while she was still snickering and holding her now aching side, a Persian leapt out and tore right into the meringue pokemon’s back with a set of long sharpened claws, knocking her straight into the ground.

Having been downwind of Sprinkles at the time, the fairy type had not seen the attack coming at all. She had hardly realized what had happened, but she sure as heck felt it.

Not even having enough in her to let out some sort of defense, she cried. Sprinkles strained to even lift herself up to see who or what her attacker had been, but it was hardly any use. Her tiny nose sniffed the air to try to help piece it all together. A lot of blood. Grass. Dirt. More bloods. Honey. There was more but she was struggling to concentrate. That blow had knocked all the air out of her and she knew without even having to look at the blood that she was hurt badly. Although the injury hurt more than practically anything she had ever felt before, she fought to stay awake. If she fell asleep it would be lights out for good. Her attacker would finish her off for sure, even if the reason for the violence was still lost to her.

Guess they were not a big fan of puns.

She could just barely register that there was a major commotion starting up all around her. She could tell that there were suddenly a whole bunch of new pokémon fighting and yelling around her, but that was it. Were they friends? Foes? Did they even care about what was happening to her? All of it started getting muddled up into one static noise in her head. A growing buzzing. It was getting louder. And angrier.

She moaned a tiny help wishing somebody would just stop the noise and rid her of this stinging pain.

Maybe she should not have eaten that combee.

Also I know this is short but there is only so much I can write as a colony of bees...

                                    • By piling themselves one on top of another to form a blockade, the colony of Combee effectively made a wall to separate the Slurpuff from their hive, where their Vespiquen resided. The Slurpuff had tried to reason to them, but whether or not the Combee colony understood was another matter altogether. At her words, the barricade of Combee grew more restless, and their buzzing became even louder. Amidst the terrible noise, the words “queen” and “protect” could just about be made out. Their wings beat together furiously, creating a gust of wind that made the dust and dirt rise from the ground in a cloud.

Before the wall of Combee could attack, something dark, solid and furry crashed into their barricade. As Combee were not particularly strong pokemon to begin with, this failed attack was enough to make the barricade collapse for a second. Acting true to their primitive instincts, the colony was quick to reform itself into a wall to confront whoever had crashed into their formation. It was a Houndoom, a pokemon with a frightening appearance and with abilities to match its looks. The Combee colony started buzzing in panic, and within seconds, the buzzing had grown so loud that it was deafening to anyone standing near them.

All of a sudden, two shockwaves (Bug Buzz) were sent from the colony of Combee, one towards Houndoom and one the other towards Slurpuff. Unfortunately, Persian’s timely intervention meant that the soundwave attack missed the Slurpuff completely. Instead, it hit the unsuspecting Noibat hovering in the air not far away. By a stroke of luck, the soundwave missed the Gligar and Keldeo by a mere inch. Since they were acting as a whole colony, it was difficult to aim and the attack missed Houndoom completely, leaving the Combee vulnerable to the hellhound pokemon’s attack. The Noibat, however, was not so lucky.

                                        • With his limbs firmly latched onto Keldeo’s pelt, Sting’s pincers dug into Keldeo’s skin to further anchor his hold. His pointed tail raised into the air, poising to strike and inject his paralysing venom into Keldeo. Unfortunately, Keldeo put up more resistance than he had expected. The colt pokemon kicked out with both back legs, shooting a jet of water from his back hooves. ”Eep!” Sting yelped as he folded his wings, letting gravity drag his body to the ground and landing with a loud crash, sending a huge dust cloud into the air. Luckily for him, his moment of panic had allowed the water jet to miss him by mere inches. Since he was part Ground-type, Water-type attacks were super effective against him. If that attack had hit him, it would have been him lying on the ground in a daze instead of his intended prey, Keldeo.

After his failed attempt at a sneaky assault, all the courage seemed to have fled Sting the Gligar. Within seconds, the previously confident Gligar had transformed into a sobbing, whimpering mess, in stark contrast to Keldeo’s formidable display of courage and fearlessness. ”Mummy? Mummy, save me from the fluffy monster!” He didn’t even seem to be listening to a word Keldeo was saying. Tears welled up in his eyes, and he gazed up at Keldeo with such a pitiful expression that he would put a kicked Growlithe puppy to shame. He flopped back onto his behind with a dull thud, seemingly having lost all his will to fight.

This face-off, if it could even be called that, would have possibly gone on for a very long time had it not been for the timely intervention of Noibat and a conveniently placed wall of Combee. When Noibat hovered above his head and asked him what all the fuss was about, Sting sniffed long and hard to suck up the trail of snot that had dribbled from his nostrils, his lower lip quivering as he tried to hold back the tears that had welled up in his eyes. ”Nothing, I was hungry and he looked tasty, but -” He didn’t even get to finish his sentence before a sudden wave of sound energy blasted into the Noibat’s side. Sting stared in stunned silence at the unexpected attack, his mouth hanging open in shock. His momentary silence lasted for around five seconds, before the violence of the whole situation got a bit too much for his tender young heart to handle. ”Wah! Mummy! Save me!” The tears that he had been trying to hold back now flowed freely from his eyes. He turned around and spread his wings to glide back into the warm and comforting embrace of his mother Persian. Unfortunately, his tears were blurring his eyesight and he misjudged his distance. Instead of gliding and landing on top of Persian, his clawed wing sliced across Keldeo’s side, ripping open a huge gash (Aerial Ace).

Didn't know if "vulnerable to the hellhound pokemon's attack" meant to auto hit or not, so I played it safe. Or not safe, depending on how you judge it. Point-blank miss = much fluff

Before Shadow had a chance to recover from his blunder, the wall of bees dispersed and reorganized, this time facing the opposite direction. The annoying noise from before became amplified to a volume that agonized the hound's sensitive ears. Even with his ears flattened against his skull as fiercely as he could muster, the army of tiny, insufferable voices drilled into his skull, virtually paralyzing him as he hacked up the dirt that had been unceremoniously consumed as his maw collided with the ground earlier.

As if to add insult to injury, the cacophony of the wall of pests emitted scattered blasts of force, resulting in a thick, suffocating cloud of dust. Houndoom could see nothing but floating dirt and the dark blot that was the wall of Combees. Shadow ignored the twitching limbs on his right side and rose to his paws before bellowing a torrent of flames, scorching the ground where he stood [flamethrower]. The super-heated air whisked away the dust in a wide circle, revealing the mass of insects that insisted on plaguing his day with their antics. So close to the wall, he didn't see the pokemon behind it or those behind him. Glowing red eyes glared into the wall of insects, insisting they try attacking him again [leer]. At this point, he didn't care if the colony fled in terror or invited a wall of flames. He only wanted to be rid of them so he could find opponents more worthy than a bunch of mindless drones who were likely not worth even an iota of experience despite their formidable ability to infuriate others.

Moments passed, and the frantic, idiotic, insufferable, aggravating, insolent little pest pokemon were too devoid of intelligence to flee in terror at the hellhound's fury. They were likely too dull to even register the pure malice radiating from the hound's blazing eyes. Volatile toxins were building in Shadow's stomach, lusting to be free once more and incinerate everything that dared irk their master. Most of all, they hungered to turn the colony of Combee's into ashes so pure as to cover the entire island with what once was the most antagonizing nuisance of this houndoom's day.

Well this was such a lovely warm welcome! Keldeo did not think that he would arrive on the island and already be subject to attacks and seeing such horrifying things. The colt pokemon was rather disappointed and was almost tempted to make the journey back to the Unova region. His instincts of protecting others had kicked in, however Gligar had foiled his plans. Keldeo had attempted to hit the dumb purple Pokemon but that didn’t go so well. Keldeo had missed and he had to restore to screaming at the Gligar. However, screaming would do nothing. The Gligar started to bawl and whine and cry for its mother. What in the world? Keldeo snorted, holding back laughter as the Gligar continued to cry for its mother. A Niobat had joined the chaos and Keldeo looked towards it when it asked what they were doing. “This idiot of a Gligar tried to attack me!” Keldeo said when the Gligar tried to explain itself. “I don’t have time for him, that poor Slurpuff is gunna be that dumb cats meal! Help me out?” Keldeo asked with confidence hoping that the Niobat had some sort of heart to help out the poor sweet Slurpuff.

Suddenly, the Niobat was struck by the angry wild Combee’s attacks. Keldeo shook his head. This was far too much violence in one area! It was never this way back home! Keldeo turned his attention towards Persian when suddenly Gligar had attacked him again. This time, it’s claw tore through Keldeo’s side. In a cry of pain the Colt pokemon stumbled sideways and jumped back, almost collapsing on the ground. However, he kept his stance and glared hard at the Gligar. If it wanted a fight, a fight it was going to get. “I told you, you leave me alone!” Keldeo screamed at the Gligar. His eyes flickered towards Slurpuff, but it seemed as if the Persian had attacked it and now it was unable to fight back. Keldeo’s heart was all over the place. He wanted to help the Slurpuff but his anger towards the Gligar was clouding his judgement of what he should do. He opened his mouth and a small energy ball formed with it [Focus Blast], suddenly the orb shot out of its mouth towards the Gligar but again, Keldeo’s aim was completely off. Keldeo shook his head in frustration. Why can’t I get a damn hit!. Keldeo stomped his hooves and lowered his head, his eyes locked onto the Gligar. He was ready for it now, hopefully he could end this quickly.

The little Zorua continued on her way until she heard a loud thud. Curious, she stopped and turned around to see what was going on behind her. Looks like that mean old Scraggy knocked out the Totodile with a headbutt. Knowing she wouldn't be able to help the Totodile now and seeing how dangerous this Scraggy really is, she didn't want to stick around any longer for him to come after her. Aries quickly turned around and began jogging off down her original escape path. She didn't get very far though. She was rudely stopped by the now frustrated Scraggy when he swipe her meal away. "He-hey!" she said angrily but stuttered because she was nervous to fight this Scraggy. The Dedenne on top of her head back her up with threatening squeaks and her cheeks were sparking. "Give me my Carvanha back!" Aries growled, she didn't really like fighting but she caught that Carvanha fair and square, she also has gone through the day without eating a thing so being hungry added to her irritation towards this Scraggy.

Seeing how the Scraggy paid her no attention to her threats she decided to take her food back by force. Aries tilted her head just enough so Dedenne would jump off and once she did, Zorua crouched back and a tanish aura outlined her body. She then quickly jumped at her opponent and smashed her head into his back with great force (Copycat → Headbutt). This was her first time using such an attack, so after the impact Aries tumbled back and landed in a sitting position. She shook her head and looked at the Scraggy who had also tumbled forward. He dropped her Carvanha while being attacked and it sat in the dirt by him. Zorua sprinted over and snatched her dead pokemon back. She quickly jumped a few feet away from Scraggy with the fish in her mouth and faced him, ready to attack again.

Oh the totodile was MAD, and he wasn't going to try and deny it when his eyes god bloodshot as his maws abruptly closed on the apple. The flavor of the fruit only furthering his rage as his prey decided to just ignore him and go for someone else, to make things worse he went for the girl he just helped some minutes ago and snatched her food. Yes she was a dark-type but his papa always told him that if someone bothers you, then you have to bit him as hard as you can, and boy this scraggy was giving him more reasons to bite his butt off.

The small totodile would've laughed at the Zorua using headbutt on the scraggy which lead her to end onto her butt, but that would've ruined the surprised he had for the dark/fighting. Getting in all fours, the totodile approached his prey with glaring eyes, his orbs showing how much he wanted to jump on the scraggy already but luckily for him he had enough willpower to stop himself from ruining his fun. When he was close to the scraggy, the totodile began to slowly open his maws and in one swift movement, the scraggy's sides were being bitten by the powerful, sharp teeth that the water-type had. Not only that, but the totodile's neck muscles were powerful enough to lift the scraggy thanks to the years of having to carry things with his maws, using the weight of his prey to further the damage on his sides as he tightened the grip he had on him.

Having a pokemon on his maws WAS hard, yes he ate fish and stuff and some of the times he carried things back home but the scraggy was relatively heavy to most of the things he was used to carry. Even though he wanted to continue the jerk's punishment, the totodile's maws were already giving up and thus, he used his powerful neck muscles to throw the scraggy away from him. He was not sure if that was enough to take down the dark/fighting, but in a way he wanted an excuse to keep biting him. It was only when he smelt the dark-type that he turned around, his vertical slim pupils quickly decreasing and rounding around until they were replaced by the normal, black circles. "Howdy! You are da dark-type that mah papa saved, right?" The totodile waved a claw at the Zorua, as if he had forgotten all about the Scraggy that he almost bit in half.

                                      • Holding his hard-earned prize by the tail, Raggy sneered at the little Zorua’s anger. When the dark fox-like pokemon growled at him and warned her against stealing her prey, all Raggy did was chuckle. Her cute and furry appearance did nothing to aid her cause, and all Raggy did was chuckle at her pathetic attempt at appearing threatening. ”You want it? Aww, too bad.” He made a great show of lifting the fish to his mouth and taking a huge bite out of it, chewing it very slowly and making a great show of savouring its flavour. In truth, the Carvanha’s carcass was already starting to smell fishy and tasted considerably less palatable than before, especially since it has been dragged through the dirt and thrown through the air multiple times. Nevertheless, beggars could not be choosers, and Raggy was not about to give up this golden opportunity to make the little Zorua feel as powerless as possible. ”The weak don’t get a say...it’s the rule of this island, ya softie.” Raggy snorted as he raised the Carvanha to his mouth for another bite, but before his teeth could sink into the fish’s scales, something large and furry slammed heavily into his back. The impact forced Raggy to spit out his mouthful of Carvanha meat in surprise, and the rest of the carcass slipped from his grasp. He lay winded and wheezing on the ground for a few moments, his mind quickly plotting the most gruesome death he could possibly deliver to the pesky little Zorua. In his mind, he could clearly picture himself dangling the helpless Zorua over a cliff, ready to drop her into the jaws of a swarm of hungry Sharpedo waiting below.

Unfortunately for Scraggy, his vivid imagination was not going to materialise any time soon. Raggy barely had time to catch his breath before he suddenly found himself being lifted into the air as if he weighed no more than a newly hatched Togepi. ”Oi, what do you think you’re doing, you -” He hadn’t even finished his sentence before two rows of very sharp and very long fangs dug into his side, causing him to yelp out unintentionally in pain. Totodiles were renowned for their unrivaled jaw strength, and being a victim to those crushing jaws was definitely not a pleasant experience, to say the least. He was certain that he heard a rib crack somewhere, although he was too busy trying to pull himself free to notice the extent of the damage done to him. Fortunately, the Totodile seemed to have decided that even those monstrous jaws were growing fatigued. The next thing he knew, he was flying through the air in an ungraceful arc, flailing to regain his balance before he landed with a loud thud on the ground in an awkward heap. Luckily for him, he miraculously managed to land just short of the edge of the cliff. Otherwise, it would have been him tumbling down the cliff into the jaws of hungry Sharpedoes waiting in the water, instead of the Zorua as he had so vehemently intended.

Scraggy climbed slowly to his feet, his expression unreadable. Two neat lines of teeth marks dotted his side, most of them starting to stain with red, and he was standing in an awkward posture. Clearly, his side was giving him a considerable amount of pain. ”You. I don’t like you.” He raised his hand and pointed an accusatory finger at the Zorua (I don’t know if Scraggy can point with those hands but let’s just say he can). His finger then shifted towards the Totodile, and his expression turned so full of fury and hatred that it was as if Totodile had murdered his family in their sleep. ”But I hate you even more.”

Yanking up his pants with both hands, Scraggy lowered his head and charged forwards (Rock Smash). He had aimed to hit them one after the other with Zorua first, but he misjudged his distance and merely gave each of them a light scrape. Without a target to cushion his charge, Scraggy stumbled to an awkward and clumsy stop while trying to hitch his pants up so he wouldn’t trip over them.
