“Blue sky…I want to see a clear blue sky someday…” These are the only words that were echoing through Luka’s mind or some might prefer using another term, Her system. There was a small smile that was dancing upon the loid’s face, but there was no amusement hidden behind it. Just hope. Ocean blue eyes stared blankly at the lifeless grey sky, while an uncalled for gust of wind passed by her making long pink locks fly everywhere. A small sigh escaped the android’s lips while she let her gaze fall away. Luka removed some pink strands away from her face as she tucked them away behind her ear.

Earlier that day Luka and Luki both decided on securing different locations, so that they can cover more ground. Honestly she did miss his company right now, the female hated feeling lonely. Maybe it was a bad idea after all but she didn’t want to be selfish. What bothered the girl was that the male Megurine took Meeri Kuma with him. Luka let out a low grumble while she pouted. The pinkette glided through the thick grimy air riding on her hover board while scanning the area for any possible threat. “Slow day isn’t it?” She asked herself while debating on reporting back or not.

There were times when Luka questioned herself about her own existent, she asked herself why she was abiding to the normal peoples’ safety. Humans, they are such mysterious creatures, true they are weak but their way never fails to fascinate her. “Maybe being a human wouldn’t have been such a bad thing…” Luka thought for a second and then slightly shook her head at her own stupid wish. Sometimes she also questions herself about her relationships with the other androids but the thoughts leave because Luka shuns them away. Then there was Luki, can androids really be real siblings? – The question is so contradictory! “I should stop thinking – ” The pinkette’s thoughts halted while she picked up a weak radio wave, from a very familiar origin.

Speak of the devil~ Maybe paying Luki a little visit wouldn’t be such a bad idea. Luka sped up while she raced with the wind on her hover board as a blue screen appeared right in front of Luka’s eyes. There was a map on the screen directing Luka towards Luki’s exact location. Surprisingly there were two red dots on the screen while several yellow dots flashed on the map as well. One of the red dots was Luki since his name was flashing across the screen but the other was and unknown android, she knew that the other person might be another vocaloid. As for the yellow ones they are – “Jackpot…”

Soon the loid arrived where her twin and the other loid was. Luka let a small smirk appear on her face looking at the direction of several minions but that didn’t slow her down. She dashed towards Luki suddenly appearing in front of his face hanging upside down while the hover board supported her weight. “Having fun without me?” She joked winking at the male. In a matter of a few seconds she was right side up again while she raced towards a red fiery female fending off some of the minions. “Luka…” The pinkette jumped down on the ground while passing the other loid in the process. She took a hold of her trusty ride and slammed it against three minions at the same time.

The air pressure on the other side of the hover board made a few minions fall backwards while the other three that was hit fell on the floor a little far away from her. Only now they weren’t a menace but a pile of junk. Well to be honest no better than before. “…at your service.” Luka finally finished her sentence while diving forward to destroy the ugly minions, knowing a little to well that Luki was there to cover for her. The Megurine’s are a good team you know.

            don't... look at me!
The burial ground wasn't far from sight. Kiyoteru's grip loosened on the girl as a tall shred of scrap of metal bent into an upside-down "v" came into view like a lone lighthouse in a great fog. He had used it as a visual landmark every time he transported a corpse, despite the fact he was equipped with maps of the City of Japan. Surrounding him were untitled graves, some the grimy, unhealthy gray dirt still freshly layered on top of the small, hurriedly made tombs. A large stack of metal boxes had been exported from the protected city for 'gravediggers' such as Kiyoteru and some other vocaloids to use as coffins for the departed. There were hundreds of them, dingy, rusted brown in the corners, stacked like cards, piled like hay, some mysteriously lying stray thousands of yards away from the burial ground. Kiyo glanced up at a pile of metal coffins, his hazel eyes frosted like an old oak in winter (though nobody has ever seen an oak tree before). The coffin at the top was wrested so badly it had begun to bend and distort. A glossy black crow perched itself on its open lid, preening his feathers. From what Kiyo's internal systems could identify, there was more organic matter inside the coffin. Fledglings, crow fledglings. Birds were beginning to make nests in the untouched metallic caskets. His eyes brewed with anger. Humans were such lazy, ignorant creatures, dumping poorly made, unmeaningful, ugly metal boxes out into the danger zone. That was there way of showing their appreciation and farewell to the dead.

            Disgusting.

A seemingly endless row of perfectly identical rectangular holes in the meshy, crummy earth. Kiyoteru crouched, lying the girl on her back, abandoning the body momentarily to choose a coffin. He pried one from the middle of the largest pile, the other coffins protecting it from acid rain. It glinted silver, even under the dark smoggy skies, almost void of imperfections, other than a few small rusted spots on the side. The pile tumbled, the awful moan and cry of metal against metal polluting the air. Kiyo didn't flinch once, watching briefly as the pile faltered like a great beast, the coffins spreading out over the burial grounds, knocking over other stacks and piles. He didn't bother cleaning up the mess. It wasn't worth it. Exhalinf through his nose, the coffin seemingly weightless in his arms, he turned on his heel, returning to the gravesite. He inched to the edge of the pit he had chosen, gently placing the industrial casket inside, the earth beneath his feet loosening and chunks of ground and soot falling in. The vocaloid picked up the corpse yet again, her body seeming lighter and hollower the longer he dwelled around it. Her stringy bangs had shifted over her eyes. He brushed them away, stroking her air. Like a mother laying her babe in a cradle, he lay her in the metallix box, the the hinges of the lid groaning as he slowly shut it. It was the last glimpse of the dust-bunny skies that pair of unseeing eyes would ever get. He began to scoop dirty black soil in his cupped hands, dropping it into the grave, not slowing until it was completely filled.

The crack of a sniper shattered the silence in the air.

The crows cawed, their wings beating against their chests as the took off, leaving a handful of feathers behind. Kiyoteru turned in the direction of the sound, eyes wide. His system was immediately responding, and soon text and a rotating diagram of the type of gun that had been fired off appeared in his vision. He had seen it before. Who did it belong to? Kiyo checked his energy level, represented in a golden bar. It had risen and replenished a fair amount since he stopped to rest and bury miss Yukiko. He took a deep breath. Something exciting would be up ahead. This would be a refreshing sprint. He walked a few steps. Then, jogged. Soon, his internal pedometer was going off the charts as he took off in a dash towards the sound of the sniper, his energy level wavering. Arms pumping, legs stretching out ahead of him, coat flapping, he had run almost 3/4 of a mile when to distinct pink and one crimson head of hair became visible ontop of a nearby skyscraper. His systems instantly caused his eyesight to zoom in on the three figures. MEGURINE LUKI. MEGURINE LUKA. CUL. Soon, his system was filling up with basic information on the three. Then, he took notice in something less pleasant. His vision tinted red as he system blared "DANGER DANGER DANGER". Minors, a large amount of them, scaling up the side of the building. Convulsing, twitching, bobbing like hideous metal insects.

The three had managed to take out some of the monsters, a few still remaining. Might as well take out the last few for them, make his presence known to the three. Kiyo held out his arm, closing his eyes. "Activate Inventory Weapon MNPF Type-A to left arm..." he muttered. ACTIVATING: MESH_NET PROJECTILE FIREAM, TYPE A, TO LEFT ARM was his system's response. There was a mechanical clank that came from inside him. He silently rolled up his sleeve, exposing the bare, artificial skin. Suddenly, the skin on his arm began to tear, his arm beginning to separate and rearrange. Red, green, and gold rubber wires could be seen through the metal, all zapping and sending signals that directed the changes that were occuring. Soon enough, his arm had completely shifted into a strange, broad gun. An ammo-count untensil appeared in his vision, as well as a status bar determining how each shot affected his energy. Kiyo glanced at his changed arm before pointing it at the towering wall of the skyscraper, eyes narrowed as he looked through the scope. Once he was aimed at a cluster of the minors, he fired, his heels digging into the earth to prevent himself from being blown backwards by the force. There was no bang, no sparks, no smoke, but a black capsule which shot from the barrel of the heavy-duty gun. It seemed to swell as it cut through the air. Moments before it hit the wall, the capsule split open like a pill, expanding and releasing a large, black mesh net. Kiyoteru watched blankly as it sealed over the group of minors, trapping them. "Finish them off..." he called.

xxxxxxxRin glanced at the gloomy, cloud filled sky as she wandered about the wasteland. Len had decided to split up so they could cover more ground and now she was just plain bored. In her boredom she thought of how beautiful the world had been in the past. Bright blue skies littered with fluffy white clouds as far as the eye could see, bright green foliage covering the ground, and a sapphire blue sea streatching beyond the horizon. Oh how the world had changed. Gray gloom filled clouds hung lower over the desolate ground. Nothing remained of the trees and grass of the past. Areas that were once green were now brown and barren. How had the humans ruined the world she loved was honestly beyond her. Before, she had been a singer used for the entertainment of the world, and now she had become a war machine, upgraded to save whatever was left of mankind. She rubbed one of the large rings that littered her right hand, reminiscing of days long past. A long sigh escaped her lips as she slowly climbed a pile of rubble to get a better view of her surroundings. She needed something to distract her from the stupid thoughts and she couldn't see anything from where she had just been. When she neared the top she spotted a small group of 6 minors walking about in the distance. A smirk graced her face as she activated the visor built into her eyes. 'Target sighted,' Rin thought as she licked her lips deviously.

From her higher perch on the rubble she waited until the minors walked right underneath her before she engaged in combat. She then leaped off the ledge and planted her right fist in one of the minor's face as she landed. Completely destroying it's head and leaving the beast in a motionless heap of scrap metal. From her crouched position on the newly destroyed beast, fist implanted in it's head, she looked up at the other five minors like this was a fun game and unsheathed her tomahawk. This was when one of the minor decided to make a move. It lunged at Rin and left a slight scratch on the loid's face. Rin grimaced and planted her tomahawk into the minors neck before it could move away from her; cleanly decapitating it. She then stood up straight and looked around at her opponents. "Is that all you got? There's no way you can defeat me like that," Rin stated cockily to the remaining four minors. This got their attention. One of them hissed and all of them lunged to killed the blond loid. Jamming her right fist in the first one that got there, she then spun around to roundhouse kick another, then lodged her tomahawk deep into another's skull. Sadly the last one got the drop on her and elongated the scratch on her face into a long cut before she could roll backwards away from it. Rin reached up to the cut and winced, it had gotten quite deep with that last attack and revenge was in order. Once again in a crouched position, she took off like a runner at the final minor. As she neared it, she leaped into the air and jammed her boots into it's face and pinned it to the ground. She then finished it off with a swift downward motion with her tomahawk; decapitating the now sorry excuse for a beast. Standing up straight, she glanced around at the destruction she had cause around her with a cocky smirk. "Well that was easy," Rin said cheerfully as she twirled her tomahawk around before resheathing the weapon. Fixing up the rings on her right hand, she thought about what to do now. 'Guess I should go get this fixed up,' Rin thought while reaching up to the gaping wound in her cheek. Sighing, she opened up a holographic map in front of her and checked out the surrounding areas for allies, mostly for techies. Looking at the blue dots and red ones that scattered the map she found two blue dots signifying allies nearby. Zooming in on the area, she found that the two that were there were Piko and her brother Len. A frown graced her face at this new found information. Had Len gotten injured or something? He was absolutely horrible at close combat after all. Shaking the thought from her mind, she started towards them from her current position.

As she neared the two loids she looked around her, wary of a surprise attack. Honestly, her map wasn't as reliable with enemy positions as some of the other loid's maps were. Soon enough the two boys came into view and she lifted the headset around her neck to her ears and called Len. "Hello there Len. Look left and you'll see a familiar face," she stated as she approached the boys and waved. She joined the two loids and asked Piko the question she had trekked over to them for. Hey Piko, do you think you can fix up my face? Rin asked, pointing at the gaping wound on the left side of her face.

» » » Humming to herself, a lone girl sat in the wasteland, sitting on a outcrop that probably belonged to a wall of a building at one point in time, her umbrella shielding her from the elements. Of course; logically speaking, the only thing that it could shield her from was the sun, by the looks of it, a crimson Japanese styled paper parasol swung over her shoulder. Not quite the weapon of choice to be lugging around in a robot infested area, nor did her black kimono seem like any kind of armor. Golden thread formed creeping vines that crawled up from the hem of her outfit, faint crimson flowers encased within the fabric, and as she shifted her outfit seemed almost iridescent, flickering from acid green, ruby red and black. However, she didn’t seem at all worried about attacking robots, holding out her finger as a butterfly landed gracefully, wings beating to and fro, the metallic surface giving it away as just another mimicry of a living insect.

A soft smile to the girl’s face, as she pushed back her black ponytails behind her ears, faint slits evident on the palm of her hands. “The flowers hide in secret, on the ground where no one sees them, they’re frowning and they’re whining and no one will ever know.” Singing softly to herself, a click, as she tossed something off her little mound, a tiny metal flower, as it came to rest in the dirt with its fellows, the black haired girl looked towards the sky, before humming to herself softly again, clink, clink, another flower forming in her hands. It would probably seem odd, some random human sitting in the middle of nowhere, making flowers out of metal scraps; the remains of a Major lying somewhere to her right, pieces cut out of its metallic hide, and would it be so strange that the flowers were the exact same color?

Peaceful contentment, rinse and repeat, with the absent minded determination as if she wanted to drown the outcrop she was sitting on with flowers. “Three, two, one, hold your breath until you suffocate, seven, eight, ten and hold on to them again.” Giggling slightly to herself, a child’s song, really. Her song. Idly eying some of her butterflies, a few of them were coated in a slight maroon, crusting over, which she noted with idle interest, clink, plop, another flower gone into the dust.
The black haired female was quite content, after all; she added sixteen new members to her little collection of butterflies, though she would prefer to find some Majors with laser accessories, the gun addition to most of the robots were often too big and bulky for the butterflies to support anyways. One man's trash was another man's treasure, right? With the sheer about of decapitated Majors and Minors, she didn't have to expand any energy at all creating her butterflies; after all, that's what the...Good Vocaloids did? Good? Hmn, good, in who's terms? They were saving the humans, saving the good, the bad, the evil, the survivors. Well, good for them, pity.Sliding off the outcrop, landing on her feet, where they were wrapped in strips of white cloth in a parody of shoes, she strode off, humming softly.

Perhaps she would find someone on her wanderings, though her butterflies did say that there were some of the Vocaloid series hanging around in the eastern direction… Well, she had hoped to fine some sign of the children or humans; after all, they were much more fun. Passing behind a rock, a child of what appeared to be no more than ten crawling out, the umbrella gone, though the butterflies circled around her, laughing, as she skipped over the desolate landscape, far too happy in a scene that was empty of all organic life.
