SESSHOMARU SAT WITH his back against a great oak tree, eyes closed as he took a short break from walking along his territory. He'd left Rin with Jaken and A--Un. He knew she'd be safe there, and out of trouble. With the fight for the jewel shards still on going, dangerous threats were still abundant. As as much as he didn't want to admit it out loud, keeping Rin safe and out of harms way was a priority. Not to mention, she kept Jaken busy with her antics, and out of the dog demons hair.

In his meditative sleep state, Sesshomaru felt relaxed and calm. It was one of the few luxuries he has these days, and he was glad to have found a moment to do so. A lord of his lands must never be weak--weak like his father had been.

Then he felt it. It was quick, whatever it was, but enough to wake him from his mediation state. Opening golden eyes, the demon frowned. He didn't like it when temporal senses like this happened. Especially in his territory. And what was specially bothering him was how close this feeling was. The white haired demon knew he was encroaching on demon cat territory, but they knew better than to mess with the Lord of the West.

Rising gracefully, the demon began walking towards where he felt the disturbance. It almost reminded him of the day when his brother had been awoken. He'd felt the same thing, but at a greater distance.

When the sounds of fighting reached his ears, Sesshomaru paused, turned in the direction he was hearing it from. Following the sounds, he kept himself out of immediate sight, not wanting to bother walking into someone else's fight.

Finally coming upon the commotion, Sesshomaru watched what looked like a few children picking a part a clan of low level cat demons. He noted one of the females in the trio looked very familiar, his eyes narrowing as he reached for his sword, but paused. No, he knew it wasn't his little half breed of a brother. But that girl looked very much like him.

As the fighting came to a close, he noticed the three seemed to be familiar with each other now, and now were headed in his direction. Standing there hidden in the shade of the trees, he wondered which one of them would sense him first.

Ama Moruki

Looking to the skies and sitting on a ledge of a mountain Ama was taking a break for a a bit with his new travelling buddy Shippo a fox demon." We will be there soon, then you can meet them Ama! and then I can reunite with them after getting lost in that forest back there." The small little half fox demon looked up to him. " It will be great to meet others...and show them what I got. Well" Ama then pausedd talking for a moment and stands up." Well we rested long enough lets go shippo." Shippo nodded and hop on his head, and they both traveled down the mountain into a forest. Ama walked with shippo intil they both stopped." This smells like the cat demon territory...is this the way shippo?" Shippo nodded." Uh huh,....but some how i feel like somethings watching us....Gah!" Then a few monsters came out and surround them saying." Looks what we got here boys? Dinner!" Shippo then went behind ama leg in a little fear." Your dinner? Ha! dont make me laugh, Shippo help out bud." Shippo nodded and went in front of one of them and uses his fox fire attack but it did nothing." HAHAHA! That felt like a little tickle to the side, take this!" The demon then hit shippo in the face hard and shippo went flying. Ama jumped up and grabbed him." Stay there Shippo I guess i will take care of this." The three demons surround Ama and the one speaks," My, I guess we eat the girl first...such a delite." Ama then got really pissed and yelled out like a child saying," I AM NOT A GIRL NOW DIE! I call upon the spirit of death shinu to help me by my side, Kill them!" The demons laugh and then a giant spirit came out of the ground before them, and grabbed the three demons pulling them down thru the ground. Shippo was of course amaze and afraid of Ama power. Sooner or later the demons completely disappeared." Well know.....are you okay shippo?" The male turns to shippo. Shippo stands up like it was nothing," Don't forget I am a demon to that was nothing now lets hurry before more come!" They then ran off the direction they were suppose to be running to.

“We are for now.” Oni answered Miu’s question in a similar fashion than her own. By now he had figured that the bracelet had sent them here. If his wish had come true then they would not be alone for long. He looked back at Kiki. She was staring down at her empty wrist.

“The bangle’s gone.” She said as if she had just noticed it. “Yeah I noticed that too. Looks like we are going to be stuck here for a while. Come on.” He nudged her forwards so that they followed Miu. “Where are you traveling to?” He asked Miu curiously.

“Oni…” Kiki paused. Not saying his full name still felt a little strange. “You know what this means right?” He nodded his head. “Our wishes are coming true!” She said with a new found excitement. She was going to see her parents again, something she never dreamed could possibly happen. “Now we definitely have to find my sword.”
Oni shook his head. “You know its not your sword here.”

As they continued forwards Oni noticed something peculiar. Someone was watching them hidden in the trees. It took a moment for him to realize why it felt familiar. He was not fast enough. He heard a sniffing in the air. Kiki had noticed it too. “It’s Sesshomaru!” She shrilled running towards the thick trees. “Kiki wait!” Oni exclaimed, only slightly relieved she was smart enough to leave ‘Uncle’ out of the man’s title. He ran after the girl but she had always been faster than him.
Kiki weaved between a few trees before the tall white haired demon was in sight. By time Oni had caught up she jumped in the air with her arms open wide hoping to catch her ‘young’ uncle in a hug.

Well it seemed like the two actually were alone though Miu was curiously to know what they meant by a bangle. Miu hesitated when Oni asked where she was travelling to. She didn’t exactly have a destination and by the looks of these two, neither did they but she wasn’t exactly comfortable with sharing her problems with two kids she had literally just met. Fortunately she was spared from having to answer by Kiki though Miu was even more curious about what the girl meant by wish. Huh guess she does have a sword...or at least did.’ Miu thought at the mention of a sword. After walking for a few minutes, Miu was getting the feeling that the three were being watched as she pulled her naginata free and glanced around warily. Unlike the demon cats they had just fought this one felt stronger...so much stronger and she was starting to feel nervous. Apparently the other two noticed this presence as well, Kiki knowing whoever it was identity. “Should...I even ask who you two were talking about?” she asked Oni uneasily.

FROM HIS LITTLE perch, Sesshomaru could see them coming his way. Not that it was a problem for him, though he continued to keep an eye on them. There was something different about the smaller boy and girl, and something familiar about them too. He couldn't quiet place his finger on it, but at the same time, since they didn't seem like a threat, he didn't really care.

He'd been about to turn and leave, seeing as no one seemed to be sensing him directly, until he heard a voice exclaim his name quite... Excitedly. Pausing, the white haired demon looked up, noticing the girl with the wings had once more drawn her weapon. His eyes skimmed over her to the smaller white haired girl, who looked like she was about to jump out of her skin.

Perplexed, Sesshomaru watched silently, waiting to see what would happen next. The girl, he noted, darted into the trees, heading right towards him. Sesshomaru waited, watching her movements, while noticing the boy was following after her. It didn't feel like an attack, but the older Dog Demon knew better than to not be ready just in case.

As the girl finally appeared before him, Sesshomaru stayed expressionless, only giving a head tilt as she leaped into the air, arms open. Did she mean to embrace him? Frowning slightly, the elder demon side stepped the girl, watching as she fell to the ground. With a flash, his sword Tōkijin, was unsheathed and pointed at the back of the girls neck. Turning to the boy, Sesshomaru looked him over. He was nothing really to be feared or measured, as far as the elder demon saw.

"You, boy," he said in his deep, very authoritative voice, looking at Onigumo, "who are you and who is she?" It was bad enough his half brother was running around, but now there was this girl, who looked strikingly similar to his said brother, InuYasha. Still, he would be patient, he wanted answers now, not a fight.

Kiki expected two arms full of the Lord of the West, instead her warm embrace was replaced with a mouth full of dirt literally. She was fast but she was still a halfling. Sesshomaru was a full blooded demon. Even if she did predict his rejection she had been moving too fast to avoid the plummet. He stepped away catching Kiki off guard and causing her to trip on her own two feet. Actually she landed on her hands and knees, rolling in the dirt in a very unladylike twice to the side before she stopped face down with the feel of cold steel at the back of her neck. Really? He was wielding the Tokijin against her. Kiki growled under her breath in annoyance but did not dare to get up. At least not yet.

The sight of Kikyo's epic fail was hilarious. It would have been funnier if there was not a sword pointed at his young friend. He just knew she was going to get them into trouble with her impulsive reactions. He had no idea what she saw in the flea ridden uncle of hers. He shook his head in dismay. "No, you really don't. Lord Sesshomaru isn't one to be messed with. At least he's not where we're from." Oni answered Miu quickly before he ran and caught up with Sesshomaru and Kiki.

He put his hand on the blade of his sword but did not draw the blade. "Don't make the first attack." He warned Miu as he noticed her weapon was out. There were two things he knew for sure. One, Sesshomaru was powerful in their time, even in the past there was a chance the three of them could not win together. Two, if they really were in the past and lucky enough to win they would still lose. Anything fatal could affect their future. He did not hesitate to answer right away. "My name is Oni. And that foolish girl on the ground is my friend Kiki." He said. "Please put your sword away. We don't mean any harm. We heard of stories about the Lord of the West. I guess Kiki got a little carried away when she noticed you." He quickly tried to use flattery to coax the man to getting Kiki off the ground. "I don't think she has seen many with hair that's white like hers. This won't happen again. Will it?" Now embarrassed Kiki replied with a defeated "No"

While it was a surprise to see Kiki run towards Sesshomaru, it wasn’t that much of a surprise to see him avoid the hug causing her to fall back to the ground. Though Miu couldn’t help but tighten her hold on her naginata when Sesshomaru held his sword to Kiki’s neck. She followed silently behind Oni as he ran to where the two were though she didn’t put her weapon away. Just looking at Sesshomaru, she knew she wouldn’t stand a chance in a fight against him but holding her weapon just helped make her feel just a tiny bit calmer. “I wasn’t going to.” she whispered to Oni when he warned her not to attack first. Her father had taught her better than that. Fortunately it seemed Sesshomaru was only interested in Kiki and Oni at the moment as Miu’s wings folded neatly behind her. She didn’t dare put them away in case she needed them. Though Oni’s story didn’t make sense. He said they had just heard of Sesshomaru through stories of him but the way Kiki reacted...she acted like she at least already knew him which was even stranger to Miu because there wasn’t a trace of recognition in his expression. She was definitely going to be asking these two about that later.

THE BOY SEEMED to have more sens than the girl did. Considering it for a moment, Sesshomaru removed is sword from the back of the smaller halflings neck, sheathing it as he looked between the three of them. "You seem to have some sense to you, boy." Looking back down at the girl, then back at the one calling himself Oni, Sesshomaru's head tilted slightly.

"Still, children like you," he gave a pointed look down at the girl, "should not run up to strange demons, no matte how... Familiar you are with them. Not all are as forgiving as I." Stepping away from the girl, Sesshomaru turned fully to Oni and his other female companion. She still hadn't seemed to relax, not that he would blame her. Sesshomaru wasn't know to be forgiving or merciful often. He had good reason to be, but taking care of Rin had softened him in some ways and strengthened him in others.

Now he was faced with three children in a hostile area. And not really wanting to have more people following him, but as Lord of his land, he was compelled to help when he saw fit. Sighing some, the white haired demon looked between the trio, his eyes lingering on the girl he had dodged. He couldn't shake the feeling some something familiar about her. And it was beginning to annoy him.

Taking a moment more to weigh his pros and cons with helping the children, but decided he'd feel secretly better if he did. "Well, seeing as you all seemed to be heading somewhere, as Lord of the West, it's only right of me to escort you to your destination." Looking up at the winged girl, he met her gaze with his equally blank and emotionless one before looking at the red eyed boy once more. The boy-Oni-seemed to be the leader of the group, but that could be just by default seeing as one of is companions was quick to act rather than wait. "If you'd like, of course."

Where I am: Behind a nearby tree, watching.
OOC: First post! I hope this is ok~ Next ones won't be nearly as long.

Chiisai sometimes missed being human. It wasn't even the major things one might think they would miss. She missed eating, sleeping, and ageing. She wasn't able to eat unless she possessed someone, and even then that fantastic full-up feeling just wasn't the same when you were experiencing it through someone else's body. She missed chewing on grass and munching on seeds, biting on their shells and spitting them out as she'd walk every which way throughout her old village. There were many good things about being dead, of course. She was never hungry, cold or tired, and there was an odd sort of calm brought on by living between the mortal plane and the so-called other world. It was also pretty fun to be able to change her form --- his form, really --- and though there were many human things Chiisai missed doing (eating, sleeping, even urinating) nothing could compare with the wonderful experience of being able to fly.

Chiisai had never experienced any kind of after life. Every day after her death was much like any day before it. She could still talk to people, travel and learn, and while she didn't age, grow ill or falter she still felt some unknown pull in her center, much like she had forgotten something important that sat perched on the very tip of her tongue just waiting to be released. It was a little frustrating to feel like she was inches away from some type of enlightenment, but most days she managed to wander on much like anybody else. After all, if something wanted to be found, it would be stumbled across sooner or later. Some things took time, and Chiisai was comfortable with that. Mostly.

Though she could not feel the breeze on her skin, the grass beneath her feet or the sun in her hair, Chiisai was still able to appreciate the beauty for which this forest was known. She could still enjoy the dappled sunlight as it streamed through the branches overhead and watch the butterflies as they fluttered from bud to bud, and though the brunette could no longer smell their sweet scent she remained rather fond of the dainty little things.

The brunette paused, bent down to get a closer look at the small bower of flowers, inhaled deeply, and paused.

… No. Still no perfume.

Chiisai shrugged off any pangs of disappointment and carried on through the forest. A thoughtful expression took precedence on her features, and with great care she reached into the front of her kimono and pulled out a small, glimmering stone. It was barely bigger than her nail and looked as though it had been chipped off a bigger piece of something, but it was pretty and delicate, and for that reason alone Chiisai had been curious. She had found it a few days ago sitting at the bottom of a riverbed, and with time on her hands and curiosity to boot, she had gone to get a closer look. Fully expecting her hand to pass though the small stone much like it passed through everything else, Chiisai had nearly choked in surprise when she had been able to pluck it from the river, grasping the tiny object as effortlessly as an everyday human would have. It felt warm to the touch and emitted a small shimmering light, and as the brunette held it between her thumb and forefinger she found herself wondering how it was that she was able to hold this tiny, seemingly insignificant thing.

Her musing was interrupted, however, by an odd tug in her chest, and with a quick movement Chiisai tucked the small shard back into the folds of her kimono.

There were some flickering presences nearby --- their power nagging at her subconscious --- and the brown haired female found herself being drawn to them despite herself. With silent footfalls she edged closer, all the while being careful not to step into their line of sight. Once close enough she ducked behind a tree and listened, hands held to her mouth in order to keep herself from making any sound.

Taking a moment to peer out, Chiisai caught a glimpse of one of the youngsters making a grab for the oldest, but before they could make contact the man had stepped to the side, allowing the young girl to fly past and end in a heap on the ground.

Despite herself, Chiisai snorted not-so quietly into her hands, her eyes crinkling in amusement.
'That must've hurt a bit.'

Just a few paces from her hiding spot the group of demons --- They were demons, right? With those markings and ears and … OH! Were those wings? Wooow! And such pretty haiiiir --- Chiisai edged closer still, curiosity burning in her chest like a flame. Usually when she found a group of people wandering in the woods the young brunette wouldn't be so subtle. Demon or no, if you were lost in the woods then Chiisai was going to creep up and scare you like a common ghost usually did. That was the way things worked. The sun rose in the morning and set in the evening, and Chiisai made a show of scaring people. It was all in good fun, of course, and most of the time there'd be laughter afterwards, but there was something odd about this group that kept Chiisai from jumping out and pelting her head at them.

No, for now... she'd watch.

Besides... they all looked... interesting.

TL;DR: Chiisai is watching them from behind a tree. She is also holding a small piece of the shard which she found some time ago at the bottom of a riverbed. She only kept it because it looked cool, and because it is one of the only things she can touch without a physical form.

Oni was relieved to see that Miu was not looking for a fight nor was Sesshomaru really in the mood for one. He smiled to Miu briefly before looking to the winged girl before back at the Lord of the West and Kiki. His hand left the hilt of his sword. “I’ve told her that before.” Oni teased Kiki by agreeing with Sesshomaru. It was funny though. Usually when he was tattling or lecturing his adventurous friend it was because she had run off with Sesshomaru to fight demons.

“Shut up.” Kiki stuck her tongue out childishly at Oni as she pulled herself off the ground. “You have to be nice to me today.” She reminded him, after all even in this time it was still her birthday. At least she thought so. Kiki pulled her skirt down by the hems and began to brush the dirt from her knees.

Oni smirked devilishly. He could tell he had gotten under her skin. Though Sesshomaru had him thinking. Where were they going? This world was new to him and Kiki. There was no telling where their parents were. He was not sure if it was a good idea or not to bring them up in front of Sesshomaru. “That would be nice.” He nodded his head accepting the escort. “Where are we going?” He asked Miu.

Kiki sighed with a new smile. They had not found her parents yet but they were going to travel with her uncle that was an improvement. “Let’s g-“ As she straightened up and looked past Sesshomaru something caught Kiki’s attention. Oni noticed that look. “What is it?”
“There’s a shikon jewel shard. Its really close but… I don’t think its them” She said a bit disappointed. She had anticipated finding her parents with the first jewel they spotted.

It was a massive relief to Miu when Sesshomaru made no move to attack as her wings vanished and she was able to strap her naginata to her back again. It seemed Kiki and Oni had started to relax as well if they were able to bicker like siblings. It was a shock when Sesshomaru offered to escort them to their destination and even more of a shock when Oni accepted it. Were these two really that trusting? When Oni asked her where they were going, it took her a moment to remember that these two had no idea where they were. “Um...there should be a village a few miles to the north of here, just beyond the edge of the cat demon territory. That’s where I was heading if you and Kiki want to join me.” she told him. Kiki seemed eager to go though that was probably more because Sesshomaru was escorting them. Though before she could even finish her sentence, the girl was distracted by something. Honestly this girl was going to get herself in major trouble if she kept up her curiosity like this. Miu however was a bit curious as to who Kiki was talking about this time, something about them and a shikon...a shikon jewel shard!? Miu’s jaw almost dropped open. She had spent years listening to tales of the jewel and there was a shard of it so close by!? “Hey Kiki, you said shikon jewel shard right? Do you know where exactly it is?” she asked curiously. She had been told that the jewel could grant whoever possesses it immense power but that wasn’t why she wanted to find the shard. She just wanted to see the object her parents told her stories of with her own eyes.
