It's been a while since I watched some of the VHS eps I own, but it seems to me that there was an episode that somehow made it through the dub where Shingo (Sammy) steals Usagi's towel in a prank. So glad I found it because I started thinking I could have mixed it up with something else for a moment. sweatdrop

Nah, the term "to spirit away" has existed long before the movie and I don't think it's specifically a Japanese idiom, even.

In Japan there's also existing folklore called "Kamikakushi". The movie and Rei's phrase both are probably separately referencing that.

If I read it correctly somewhere it was because Chibi-Usagis design was how Sailormoon was supposed to look, but since they were not sure how succesfull the anime would turn out they tried to target the western viewers buy changing her hair blonde and her eyes blue...if that makes sense cat_question
