Choosing a giant close-up picture of this wasn't the best idea. I can see all the mistakes you made and it takes away from the artistic nature of the manicure :/ I also think that using an olive green over lime/neon wasn't a good idea either. It looks dirty.

And the over coat was black, the colors look different because of the lighting.

Ignore the negative comments. for a first try its lovely, just use a q tip/ cotton bud dipped in nail polish remover to clean up edges and itll look even better (: ive tried this loads and its never worked ):

What about it didn't work?

My varnish didnt spread out, just stayed as a small blob but ive put it down to the fact im a cheapskate with varnishes, if it does the job and has a pretty colour then im happy.
