Someone just introduced me to Andrew Jackson Jihad, and a bunch of other folk punk bands and I'm still not sure what I feel about them.
Thoughts on any folk punk bands anyone ?
If you could recommend me other bands in that category that'd be cool.

I love folk punk so much. Kind of a dumb genre name since I think typically the word folk is used a little bit liberally, but I love all of Pat the Bunny's projects. Johnny Hobo and the Freight Trains, Wingnut Dishwasher Union, and Ramshackle Glory (his current project). I've seen them perform a few times and it's pretty fantastic. Also check out Days n' Daze.

I've never listened to all that much folk punk but Against Me!'s first and newest album are amazing

Andrew Jackon Jihad and Mischief Brew are two of the best folk punk bands out there. though id check out Elisha Cause (shes a solo artist out of philly thats reeeaaaallllly good), also Absinthe Rose (A Boston base, female fronted folk punk band)

I'm really into black bird raum, and pat "the bunny" schneeweis as well as Johnny Hobo and the Freight Trains.

just look up ramshackle glory on bandcamp and you've just about hit the gold mine.
