Wouldn't the proper way of handling a tournament have the two people with no matches battle each other, as opposed to giving them both byes?
It's a good idea

That's not what I'm saying. I was saying you and... whomever it was that didn't have their opponent show up should battle, as opposed to the both of you advancing to round two for free. But whatever. I should stop expecting luck to not factor into tournament settings.

Unfortunately, I don't think Challonge has an option to do what Axol is suggesting.
I think the tourney should be able to flow naturally in this round though.
All the participants in this round seem active.
