Diedrich is probably teaming up with Rina for the pie. After what he did for the Easter event, I wouldn't put it past him...besides, he's the highest leveled character. Rina can be a bit of an airhead though, so it would be easy to trick her into helping someone.

I could see it (and the skinny event) as schemes to add more gold to the evil plottings I suppose...

Yes... it does seem like something Diedrich would do perhaps.
Get a ton of pie out of it and such.
All that really had to be done was to prevent Rina from selling her pies in the first place.
Something he could probably do by hanging out at her shop xD

Yeah, but someone else could be using Rina, and Diedrich could be going along for the ride. Diedrich plays by his own rules, even if it only makes sense to him.

True as well! And thus we cannot be sure...
A third option may even be true where Diedrich helped get the event going in exchange for pies promised by some unknown preson(s).
They wouldn't need to do much to get him to work for them I imagine.

Perhaps the Easter Bunny decided that beating Diedrich within an egg hunt wasn't enough. He wanted to destroy him thoroughly. Wanted his own followers to feed him till he exploded. And wanted a lot of gold in the process. It's genius if you think about it.

! I had not thought of that! The Easter Bunny may very well have decided that!
After all, he does tend to choose more violent methods of doing things and the Easter competition wasn't very action packed in that kind of way.

And then there is all the gold he is making off this plot as well...
Perhaps he didn't have enough gold to make Easter explosive. Two birds with one stone!
Or maybe he will use the funds to go back into hiding!? He was only forced out of hiding because of all the attention Diedrich got as well.
