My cat got neutered today and im worried about him

his testicles are red and just like god awful and idk if thats normal or not sad

if there's unusual redness you should definitely consult the vet. There really shouldn't be any irritation at the surgical site.

Has it been like that since he came home? Did it just sort of happen? Has he been very active and/or licking at his stitches?

it's been red since we've gotten home today I made a temporary cone for him until I can get one tomorrow cry

its normal for them to be swollen right after. keep him from messing with them. if they are still huge tomorrow then you can call the vet if you want and see what they say

and depending on how good the vet is he may develop some bruising. Had a two buns fixed and they both came out of it with a little bruising that developed a few days later. Just keep an eye on him give him his medication on time and he should be fine. (due to complications with the first bun we will always get pain killers for the few days after.)
