What this thread is about - This thread is a petition to get the old Gaia navigation system back, and get rid of this new navigation system full of blue neon fail!
Why we don't like the new navigation system - For starters the color is uneven, blurry, and it doesn't work well. Second they left out many different things on each tab drop down, such as: my latest topics, and my thread subscriptions. Some people who own fast moving threads like I do need to be able to get their quickly when needed, of course you can always use the my shortcuts tab but that shouldn't have to be necessary, and where is the shortcut to "my guilds, are you trying to make it that hard for us gaia?" Lastly it's just big and bulky, and takes up entirely to much room!
What makes it even worse - I am a December 2003 member of Gaiaonline. Back when I first started I was perfectly happy with what gaia offered. As the years went by they started changing it. That was okay at first, but then it started to take a turn for the worst. It's gone so far that gaia's once "free site" now has shops where you can only buy the items with REAL money. That doesn't sound free to me. Step by step it seems Gaia is digging itself into a hole. Not enough people are standing up and saying "This is not what we want!" if we want things to change then we need to start now. By signing below you are taking the first step. The step that may just lead gaia back to glory. So lets start by getting rid of this terrible new navigation system.

Main reasons to revert back to the old navigation system:
-Did people request a change in the first place? Did you ask us? Did you poll us? Because I saw no such thing.
-You've moved links around and caused mass confusion, and have made it more difficult to reach some places, like guilds. But of course, you left the links to get cash. And made them even more obvious.
-You say you've cleaned up clutter, but you've just made it more blocky and awkward than before.
-You've implemented a system that takes up more space to display even fewer links than before.
-You can't revert one little bar to a new color without changing the rest, because it stands out, and not in a good way.
-The light blue text is hard to read on white background. This text is also pointless and belittling. We know what shops are. We don't need tiny, impossibly obvious, hard to read explanations that you didn't even bother to capitalize. "get stuff for your avatar". Really? Is that what a shop is for? I had no idea. It's like your target audience is eight year olds.

I was perfectly happy with the sushi database error back in Go-Gaia. They never asked OUR opnion on this. ITS TERRIBLE. I own 3 art shops runnign at full speed, and im starting up a charity and blahblahblah. As in, IM A ******** ACTIVE FORUM RAT. When the new toolbar came out. I HATED IT. NO NAVIGATION WHATOSEVER. It took me til just YESTERDAY to find out where the hell my "topics" are. HOW SAD IS THAT?! Isnt gaia supposed to be for the people? They just made navigating around this site HARDER. Like you even said, ITS BLUKY, it LEAVES OUT CRITICAL THINGS THAT US EVERYDAY GAIA USERS USE! IVE NEVER TAKEN SO DAMN LONG TO GET TO A SHOP THAT HAS FAILED BECAUSE OF THE SYSTEM!
Back in o3? Gaia Cash never happened. (I dont remember very well), NOW?! IT JUST MAKES GAIA LOOK LIKE A GOLD HUNGRY MONSTER. Information has leaked out that they are actually TRYING to look like FACEBOOK!!! IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN. NEVER. Of all my time wasted on gaia, Ive NEVER seen a site go so FAST downhill than GAIA. ITS TERRIBLE. But more importantly? ITS SAD.
All gaia is doing to this site, is DESTROYING IT. And this testimonial comes from soemone whos been on this site JUST as long as the OC. If gaia keeps doing this, USERS WILL LEAVE THIS SITE! THEY DONT REALIZE THAT YET. If they help make the toolbar EASIER to navigate around this damn place, PLEASE WILL LIKE IT MORE AND IT WONT CONFUSE THE s**t OUT OF NEWBIES AND IT WONT LIMIT THEM TO ANYTHING! because the toolbar LIMITS everyone until you ACTUALLY FIGURE OUT how the hell you get to this s**t.

Is this really what you want people saying? For the sake of all us Gaians, please change it back, before you start seeing a major rise in abandoned accounts.
