~Our Last Sunset~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It was a warm evening in a small town, over at the country side.
Such a peaceful place to live, with no worries nor violence. In this small town lived a young gay couple: Ian and Aaron.
Who, no matter what came in their way, fought and managed to be together at last.
This is their story…
-The Beginning-
It all began at a Christmas party organized by one of Ian’s close friends. It turned out to be a very decent, yet fun Christmas party; very few guests and holiday music. That night though, Ian was running late. He came out of the taxi and rushed as fast as he could into the building to be able to reach the elevator,” W-wait, hold the door, please!” he shouted as he was running towards the elevator. Lucky for him, the person inside the elevator was fair enough to place his hand on the door to keep it from closing. Ian panted as he quickly got into the elevator, smiling slightly,” A-ah… Thank y-you for holding the door, sir…” he panted as he bent over a bit, trying to catch his breath. The man in the elevator smiled and replied,” Nothing to it! What floor is it?” he asked as the elevator door closed. Ian stood straight and sighed softly before looking at the man that stopped the door for him. He immediately couldn’t help but just stare at him, without saying a single word. He couldn’t think of anything else than the guy that was in front of him, amazed at how handsome he was. It suddenly began to feel awkward for the guy, who couldn’t help but smile and blush slightly,” U-uh… Sir, w-what floor?” he asked again, scratching the back of his head. Ian shook his head and cleared his throat before answering,” Oh, sorry… Uh, tenth floor, please…” he replied, looking forward to the door, trying not to stare at the guy like that again. He nodded and quickly pressed the tenth floor button on the elevator,” It seems we’re going the same way then.” he said, smiling. Ian looked back at the guy, curious,” Oh? You came for Josh’s Christmas Party?” he asked. He nodded and extended his arm to shake Ian’s hand,” Yeah! Name’s Aaron!” he said, revealing his name. Ian smiled and took ahold of Aaron’s hand and shook it gently,” It’s… nice to meet you, Aaron. My name’s Ian.” he said, blushing pretty lightly. Aaron returned the smile as he noticed Ian’s light blush.
The elevator reaches the tenth floor and stops, the door sliding open,” Well, after you.” Aaron said as he looked at Ian, causing him to blush a bit worse. He nodded and shyly walks out of the elevator, Aaron going out after him. They both walk together through the hallway, passing a few door before reaching the last one. Aaron quickly opens the door, revealing the friendly, holiday environment at the party. Josh, who’s standing over at the mini bar, notices both of them walk in and quickly walks towards them to receive them,” Ian! Aaron! I’m so glad you decided to come after all!” he said as he hugged both of them. Ian and Aaron smile awkwardly and slightly hug him back, “Well, what are you guys standing here for? Go on, have a snack or a drink and have some fun!” Josh said. Both Ian and Aaron nod and as they are both ready to head over to the table with the snacks and drinks, Josh grabs Ian by his arm,” H-hey? ...” Ian said, surprised, as he looked back at Josh. Aaron quickly looks back and Josh smiles at him,” You go on ahead, I’m just going to have a word with Ian!” he said, with a grin. Aaron nodded and kept on walking towards the table. Josh, his grip bit tighter now, pulls Ian a bit towards the entrance before letting him go,” W-what was that for!?” Ian whispered to him as he rubbed his arm,” Where did you meet Aaron?” Josh asked. Ian looked bit confused and surprised that such a tight grip would be all about Aaron,” Uh, we met at the elevator, he stopped the door for me, why?” he replied. Josh sighed,” Ah… S-sorry about that, it must be really weird to you, but it just I want you to stay away from that guy. He’s a real douche.” He said, looking over to Aaron. Ian looked over as well,” But… I don’t even know him, I just met him, it’s not like he likes guys… does he?” he asked with curiosity. Josh nodded slightly, frowning as he looked back at Ian,” Yes, he does… In fact, I dated him. I wasn’t actually expecting him to come to the party, but he came, so that’s that. I just don’t want you to get close to him. He likes to get guys to sleep with him. He can fool you easily to do so, actually.” and so on and on Josh kept talking about Aaron. In the end, Ian was just irritated and decided to put an end to the conversation. There was nothing he could hate more than other people judging others, gossiping about them, trying to get people against them.
After the conversation ended, Ian decided to get a drink and as he walked to the table, he noticed Aaron sitting alone on a couch with a cup on his hands, looking down on his shoes. Most of the people around just kept on whispering to themselves as they looked at him from time to time. Ian sighed and served himself a drink before heading over to the couch, sitting right next to Aaron,” So, enjoying the party?” he asked, smiling a bit. Aaron chuckled and shrugged,” It’s just the usual I suppose.” he said as he began to drink a bit more from his cup. Ian looked at him for a bit before drinking from his cup as well. He cleared his throat and looked around,” Well, it’s not that much of a party anyways. It’s just very relaxing, though I wish I could say it’s friendly…” he said before looking over again at him. Aaron raised his view and looked around, noticing people were somewhat looking at him. As they noticed they quickly looked the other way and kept on whispering to themselves,” Yea, I have some sort of reputation, it seems. I’m sure they must’ve already told you about it… “ he said, laying back on the couch as he let out a sigh. His expression showed bit of sadness. Ian was never the kind of person who would judge without knowing. Or if even, ever hate or judge someone after going through bad experiences with them. Deep down, after Josh told him so many things about Aaron, he wanted to get to know him,” Well, who cares what others think about you, really. It’s not like I’m going to listen to them.” He said, smiling at him. Aaron faced Ian, blushing bit light as he smiled,” Now that’s a first…” he said. Ian laughed and just kept on looking at him. And so on, they spent the night talking, just getting to know each other a bit more.
Right after it hits midnight, the party ends. It’s officially Christmas! They all greet each other merry Christmas and walk out the door. Though Ian and Aaron just stay over at the couch, still talking to each other, laughing. It’s as if they don’t want it to end. After the last guest goes out, Josh closes the door without noticing they are still inside. As he turns around he sees them,” H-hey, didn’t you just leave? Party’s over, y’know…” he said but Ian and Aaron didn’t quite listen to him and just kept on talking. Josh’s expression turned serious as he walked closer to them,” Hey! Didn’t you just hear me!” he shouted. Ian and Aaron quickly snap out of it and look at him. They are surprised and quickly look around and notice no one’s around,” W-what the… what happened to everybody?” Ian asked. Josh scoffs,” They left, that’s what. Party’s over. Didn’t I warn you about something, Ian?” he asked, looking seriously at him. Ian sighed and stood up, his expression serious as well,” You know what, Josh? I don’t care at all what you told me. It’s not like I need you to look after me. I’d really appreciate if you’d stop judging other people, because honestly, it’s really annoying when you speak to me like that. When you have something better to say, call me and I’ll listen.” He said as he quickly walked past him before walking out the door. Aaron decided to stand up as well and quickly headed to the door, but not before Josh shouted,” You! I swear, you’re going to be mine again!” Aaron shook his head and turned around to face him,” You’re pretty stupid if you think I’m ever going to be with you after what you did…” he said before turning around to walk out the door. Aaron decided to rush so he would catch up to Ian, so he ran to the elevator. But sadly as soon as he got there, the door closed and Ian didn’t notice him.” s**t! Ah, ******** it…” he said as he quickly rushed and pushed open the door leading to the stairs. He rushed down ten floors through the stairs, just so he would catch up to Ian… that had to mean something! Lucky for him, as he reached the bottom floor and pushed the door open, Ian was just barely reaching the building’s entrance, so he decided to call out to him,” Ian! Wait!” he shouted as he ran towards the entrance. As soon as he heard his name, Ian turned around, bit surprised as he notices Aaron is all sweaty and panting,” What happened to you? It’s like you ran on a marathon, haha!” he giggled. As soon as Aaron managed to catch his breath, he shakes his head and looks at him,” S-sorry… j-just… wanted t-to know if you w-would like to get some coffee tomorrow…” he said, blushing right away. Ian smiled as he noticed his blush and put a finger on his lips as if he was thinking,” Hmm, let me think… uh… Sure! Why not? Let it be around 9a.m., okay?” he said. Aaron smiled and nodded,” Okay then, uh, meet you at Bun’s Café, okay?” he asked. Ian nodded and hugged him,” See ya there! Oh, and…” he suddenly kisses Aaron’s cheek,” Merry Christmas!” he blushed deeply as he looked at him before turning around, walking out the building. Aaron blushed deeply and just rubbed his cheek, soon a smile showing up on his face as he whispered,” Merry Christmas, Ian…” Tomorrow would be a good day to wake up early.
{-English Not my first Language. Chapters WILL be added as i finish each one until the story is complete. One day i will remake this as a whole, once I've gotten better at English. I will also adjust it so it's easier for you guys to read their dialogues, etc. I'm sorry for the way i wrote this at first-}
