So i know i'm not a poet and my writing is probably a bit raw but i have this project i'm working on for an extra curricular thingy and i was hoping i could get some opinions from ya'll. I have no idea. First time iv'e written a poem in so looooong and its very short. Haha i tried

Reminiscence

Behind lies the road of our past
Things that the future makes hard to forget
The reasons that seem to make letting go so difficult
May have something to do with things that are dead set

The future is unknown and not very reliable
One can never know what’s to happen exactly
We know about the past and what has happened is undeniable
But the future is not yet to come and can cause some anxiety

Dwelling on the past causes worry and trust lacking
In order to please, One must have confidence abounding
Let the past improve the future, not engross it
Focus on things that matter, not things that convict
