Mission

The Orginal Gaia Rangers were established many months ago, it was a poor excuse for a guild, n00b members, poor leadership, no defenses, etc. That guild did die, falling away like many guilds before it, two months later the Rangers were rebuilt by some of the members of the old guild of the Gaia Assault Force which strived to protect Gaia from the n00b threat and the Mafia Hordes that encased this part of Gaia. The Rangers came out of the rubble to find a way secure some peace in this region of Gaia, even if fighting maybe the only answer.

Ranger Creed
Recognizing that I volunteered as a Ranger, fully knowing the hazards of my chosen profession. I will always endeavor to uphold the prestige, honor, and high esprit de corps of the Rangers.

Acknowledging the fact that a Ranger is a more elite soldier who arrives at the cutting edge of battle by land, sea, or air. I accept the fact that as a Ranger my country expects me to move further, faster, and fight harder than any other soldier.

Never shall I fail my comrades I will always keep myself mentally alert, physically strong, and morally straight and I will shoulder more than my share of the tasks whatever it may be one hundred percent and then
some.

Gallantly will I show the world that I am a specially selected and well trained soldier. My courtesy to superior officers, neatness of dress, and care of equipment shall set the example for others to follow.

Energetically will I meet the enemies of my country I shall defeat them on the field of battle for I am better trained and will fight with all my might. Surrender is not a Ranger word, I will never leave fallen comrade to fall into the hands of the enemy and under no circumstances will I ever embarrass my country.

Readily will I display the intestinal fortitude required to fight on to the Ranger objective and complete the mission though I be the lone survivor.

The Location
57 miles south west of Washington DC, the base serves as the primary HQ of all ground operations and the command center for all space missions. It is the home for over 2400 rangers and 1050 crew.

Conditions on Base
Washington DC-Current Weather

Main Ranger Base
When you get in the base, you will be targeted by three Spider droids and two dozen ranger guards. They will lead you to the main lift and you'll be watched as you descend into the subterrainian base. When the lift stops at the first sub-level two MPs are waiting for you. They walk with you to tactical command. They tell you to go in, and the metal door slides upward as if on cue. You step in and a old man sits there, by his oak desk, which on top of it says Lt. Haverson. He doesn't say anything for a while then a wide smile spreads on his wrinkled face. He speaks in a deep low voice: "Welcome to the Club."

Fort Stalingrad

The Bases outer compound is 20km, by 20km, by 50km, by 50km. All the outer walls are surrounded by 25 foot high steel barbwire fence. The inner and main compound is 15km by 15, by 15km, by 15km. Which the inner fence is 55 foot high electric fencing.

Lift Access
Lift access to each level will require passcard authorization. Sublevels will not appear on the control panel when a surface level passcard is in use. Cargo lift is similarly secured with the addition of retractable bulkheads. Under alarm conditions, both lifts will lock at the upper level. Combat personnel will rotate in guard duties for each level, including the guard station on the surface level.
Emergency access is through a normally locked stairwell adjacent to the personnel lift. In the event of a fire alarm, this stairwell will unlock. Fire control systems are self-contained for each level.

Level 1. Hangar

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

Hangars
3 hangars surrounding the central lift shaft allow 3 separate VTOL aircraft to launch from one facility with minimal concealment requirements. The hangar complex is served by maintenance, arming, and fuel depots and connects to the main corridors through R2-rated double blast doors.
Maintenance
Located adjacent to the hangar complex for routine craft maintenance, inspection, and repair.
Arming
Craft weapons maintenance, craft ordnance storage, and re-arming equipment.
Fuel
Refueling equipment for the aircraft. Only one load of fuel is maintained on site for safety, but it can be topped up in minutes through the armored pipeline connection.
Workshop
For assembly of anything up to a full-sized aircraft. Final assembly of an aircraft would of course have to take place in a free hangar due to the size restriction of the double blast doors.
Fabrication
Prepared for clean-room electronics fabrication at one end and metal milling and plastics forming at theother.
Briefing/Ready Room
For assembling flight and combat crews at mission-ready status.
Armoury
Issuance of personal weapons, ammunition, and ordnance for training or missions. Located between briefing room and hangar, and near indoor range.

Escorting procedures

-You will be greeted by three spider droids and a humvee; three rangers will exit the vehicle and they will ask for hidden weapons and devices. If you don't give them to the rangers, they will take it from you.

-Once cleared you will be escorted to the main compound, in which you will exit your vehicle and it will be checked out by naval techs, for explosions and such.

-Air escorts: none given, since the extensive anti-air batteries will ward off most attackers, allied aircraft/mechs will be verified, any surrendering/ defecting/ white flag (negotiations) aircraft from enemy forces shall be escorted and targeted by US government loaned F-22 Raptors. You will land at Runway No.3 and the procedure will be normal as if you arrived by vehicle.

-If hostile acts occur you shall be shot on sight. The base will put on full alert and your guild shall be notified, or attacked.

- If entrance by other means, magical or by disguise, you will be sent to the holding center. If by disguise, you will be tried, and if found to be a spy, may end up being shot or detained for a long duration of time.

The Defenses

Layout
The main base is guarded by ten, fifteen man teams are equiped with the most state-of-the-art equipment, and M-16s with ten clips of ammo each. Other patrolling units are spider drones that if a enemy is spotted they will converge on that location. SAM installations keep the base surcure from air attacks, the SAM installations are created with a six inches of titanium, if ground units try to take out the SAMs they will be countered with automated chain guns. On the outer walls of the base are twenty-five foot barbwire fence, which are mounted with security camaras, which are resistant to small arms fire. In the sub-levels of the base, the lift is required to have a security clearence card for that level which is issued to you for your specific unit, or if a visitor which level you are visiting but unless a key ally you won't get past sub-level one. If you lose your clearence card you will have to do a rental scan which are also on each floor. All levels are guarded by three man teams, which there are two teams on each floor. They will fire if threatened.
On terms of magic:
If you use it you're going to be ignored, simple enough, I don't like magic and I think its crap, no magic, if you keep posting that you can use it, I will report you to a mod, and hopefully you can't post at my guild again for a long time.
Super Nova:
The Super Nova is a fission device, it opperates by splitting a element called thyrium. Two conventional thermonuclear warheads are used to split a subcritical mass of thyrium, unleashing a mega-explosion. This device is implanted inside the center of the base, and if this base is to fall into enemy hands the timer will count down from 1:00:00. Running won't do anything for you because this project called Super Nova is what Ranger Scientist like to call a planet killer. This nuclear device can destroy nearly a third of the Earth's mass, with the mass gone the Earths orbit will be out of control, this device is the only man made object that is capable of ending life as we know it. Hence its namesake, the name we give to a exploding star. We just opened Pandora's Box.
Base Patrols:
Heavily Armed Rangers
Armed: M-16s and MP5s

It weighs 1.6 kilograms and can be detonated by command It is activated by electric or nonelectric blasting caps that are inserted into the detonator well. When employed in the controlled role, it is treated as a one-shot weapon. It is primarily designed for use against massed infantry attacks; however, its fragments are also effective against light vehicles. The M18A1 mine is equipped with a fixer plastic slit-type sight (knife-edge sight on later model), adjustable legs, and two detonator wells. The number of ways in which the Claymore may be employed is limited only by the imagination of the user. The Claymore is used primarily as a defensive weapon, but has its application in the offensive role. It must be emphasized that when the Claymore is referred to as a weapon, this implies that it is employed in the controlled role. In the uncontrolled role, the Claymore is considered a mine or boobytrap. When detonated, the M18A1 mine will deliver its spherical steel fragments over a 60° fan-shaped pattern that is 2 meters high and 50 meters wide at a range of 50 meters. These fragments are moderately effective up to a range of 100 meters and can travel up to 250 meters forward of the mine. The optimum effective range (the range at which the most desirable balance is achieved between lethality and area coverage) is 50 meters.
