Itachi.
He lived a hero. Died a hero. Didn't have bad intentions for what he did, believed truly in peace, and admitted his faults, he knew he wasn't perfect. He made mistakes, and owned up to them. He was selfless. He was a man of loyalty, and self sacrifice.
He loved his brother, and it's obvious he had a heart. He didn't seem to brag about being OP, which that is pretty respectable.

Itachi Uchiha, one of the greatest Uchiha to have ever lived.

dear lord this is a hard one.
The Akatsuki in general are just ugh they all have these incredible backstories and they're hot to boot.
Itachi, though he's a uchiha and therefore hot, has some major flaws in his plan and I have a thing with Uchihas, so he's not my first choice.
Kisame is so loyal it hurts.
Hidan the little a** I love him.
Kakuzu's so old so maNY POSSIBLITIES.
Dei is little blonde actual child who needs to be hugged and protected yes he is my baby.
Ame orphANS ARE SO SAD DON'T TOUCH ME.
but tbh they got nothing on sasori that puppet child is so broken is2g its so heartbreaking even kakuzu couldn't handle.
I think barring the akatsuki I'd probably choose Gaara, because
1) charACTER DEVELOPMENT YEAH
2) have you seen baby gaara? oh my god. o h myg od
3) when a character's main fighting stance is with their arms crossed, you know they're a badass
4)sand siblings just give me feels ok their family dynamic after the timeskip is just great

In the real world, Hidan would be sacrificing people to Lucifer. That's basically what he is, a Naruto version of a Satanist cult. huehuehue.

Madara is easily my favorite male character, because it takes every shinobi on the planet to try and stop him. Although they try, they fail miserably, because he is too godly. Too bad he ends up getting obliterated by some old hag from the past.
