And just because it's not meant to be a "romance" manga doesn't mean there's no romance in it..
In fact, it wouldn't be as good of a story if it was purely action packed with no romance or other emotions to make us get attached to or relate to the characters. True, I don't really think that SasuSaku is happening anymore, mainly because Kishi decided to throw every ounce of Sakura's character development out the freaking window, but if Sasuke was actually meant to have a love interest in the series, it would have been Sakura.

A couple of the given examples I could see as SasuSaku moments.
Mostly, it seemed to just be exploring Sakura's massive crush on Sasuke.
That first one is a terrible example.
This isn't preschool; he tells her she's annoying because she's being annoying, not because he's harboring some crush on her.

Anyway, I don't see much hope for the pairing, mostly because I think Sasuke is pretty much doomed at this point.
If Tobi doesn't get him killed, Naruto will finish the job.

If anything, the only thing between Sakura and Sasuke is that Sasuke thinks of her as a tool. Almost killed Karin 'cause he was thinking she was useless. So Sasu/Saku pairing is inexistent. It is now a Naru/Saku, even if i would love an Naru/Hina. So, girl, if you want to keep dreaming, you can. Just don't be sad when our favorite author will kill your favorite character.

I know. I’m playing, too (is a :WELL-WRITTEN: ShikaIno and sometimes TemaShika supporter). Sasuke has a well-documented inclination towards underestimating his opponents and Shadow-users are arguably one of the more dangerous enemies. Shikamaru is a very serious avenger, and hunts down his targets in less time and with half the angst. Just look at Hidan, incapacitated and buried alive in the Nara forest within a WEEK of killing Asuma. Those two better watch themselves.
