I think that Itachi and Sasuke should meet up with Suigetsu and jungo then find Karin on their way to the battle with Madara. also Naruto should stop whatever it is he's doing then get Sakura, Sai, and Kakashi (wait Sai's still alive right question ) maybe a few other people from the rookie 11 or gennin 9 or whatever they call it now, and then go to the battle with Madara. There Sasuke's people and Naruto's people should team up with all the kages and kill Madara. then Sasuke should make up with everyone and admit that he was being stupid because somewhere down the line Itachi talked to him or in the battle he almost dies and he gets to talk rto his mom. Mom not dad because of what we've seen he was a mama's boy.

Like you said in the OP it's nice to finally see them side by side happily, but obviously they will beat Kabuto and then straight after that the impure resurrection will fade, Itachi will leave once again even though he promised to talk to Sasuke, therefore breaking his promise again, and then Sasuke will either turn good or turn bad. Madara will also fade away once the technique is gone so all the Kage's need to do really is fend him off for as long as possible, and I think Naruto has pretty much turned into the Sage of the Six Paths from what we last saw of him so I don't know how long his fight with Tobi will last.
