The reason for this thread is as follows. I have recently noticed that the majority of this forum doesn't read the manga, so I ask you why.
The anime is based off of the manga, using the manga as its source material.
The anime has what is called "Filler Episodes", which are entire episodes that were never written into the series, but instead were created by editors to add time so the anime won't catch up to the manga, and also to make extra money. Also, due to being created by the editors, they don't exactly know how the character's personalities actually are, since they aren't the original author. Here is a example:
The canon Hinata: In the manga, Hinata isn't shown very often, but even though she doesn't have much strength, she tries her best. She doesn't have her own unique abilities besides the byakugan, and can't heal people.
The filler episodes Hinata: Has attack abilities that are stronger than Neji's style. Isn't indecisive when fighting against the enemy. Has the power to heal people. Naruto gets to see a silhouette of her dancing naked.
Its important to know that since some of the stuff Hinata did was in filler episodes, that means that in reality it never happened, and in the canon manga it will never be referenced.

Also, I want to say that I am not saying "don't watch filler episodes", but instead I am merely telling you that if you DO watch them, keep in mind which are fillers and which aren't, and also that it never really happened.
Educate yourself between filler and non-filler and read the manga before you start making a theory that is based off a filler episode or based on something that has already happened in the manga and you didn't know about it.
As for "spoiling yourself", that isn't true at all. For the people that actually read the manga, to us you purposely didn't read tons of the series, and tell us you "don't want to be spoiled". You are purposely making it harder on yourselves when it comes to being able to see the difference between canon and filler.
