Anything without a name is the Glee Cast version, since I could get all of those in one place. Anything my another artist is something I had, but I have repeats of Glee versions on there. I'm not saying they're better or worse. They're all good. So don't judge me for listening to Glee.
I'm listening to a lot of Aiden while I write this story, since it was one of their songs that helped to inspire it. They keep inspiring bits here and there. Also, a few Black Veil Brides songs, and SECRET EMPIRE is really good too.

Mine's veeery different from my usual writing playlists. Typically I go for slow, melancholy stuff, quite a bit of instrumental, but this one's primarily rock. It's a dark story with a sort of grungy setting, so this works great. <3 BUCK-TICK, D'espairsRay, the GazettE, girugamesh, Yuki Kajiura, Linkin Park, Gackt, exist trace, and Hyde.
I can't write to anything with lyrics, because it distracts me. So I stick to post-rock. Explosions in the Sky. Mogwai.

    These guys.

Hmm ... I don't know. My writing soundtrack always ends up changing depending on the mood and the theme of the piece. I'll go through my music folders and see if I can find anything, but I might end up changing them at any moment (or I even might forgo music and just ... write).
I'm a little unprepared if you can't tell, so no finalized playlist as of this moment.

Right now, it's Within Temptation all the way. Perfect for a fantasy-supernatural type thing to me.
Arabic rap. Because it's got a lot of Middle Eastern influence and whatnot. 3nodding

Specifically found for the piece I'm writing: "Everyday" - Buddy Holly, "In the Mood" - Glenn Miller, "The Thing" - Phil Harris, and pretty much anything from the 1950s and 1960s.

As for just cranking this sucker out, I have my mp3 player on shuffle. It consists of Florence and the Machine, Death Cab for Cutie, Imogen Heap, Lady Gaga, Regina Spektor, Flyleaf, The Gaslight Anthem, Children 18:3, and a whole bunch of others I can't remember.
