My mum's fiance lost his job due to the credit crunch. There was nothing for him to do (he was a lorry driver), so he got paid off.

No more than I usually am, I supposed. The holidays are always tight because I have major bills due Nov/Dec. I wasn't expecting the stroke either, so the hospital bills are a crimper, too.

Lost a lot of money, and had to take the house back off the market. :/ My brother Joe lost his awesome job because they just couldn't pay everyone anymore. My other brother has two part time jobs to try and make ends meet while he tries to find something more stable. sweatdrop

I hear ya there. Pixel lost his grandmom this year and her house is for sale
in Detroit and someone offered 40k for it. eek This is not a teenie home.
That's just crazy.

Meanwhile, rent here is an easy 1400 - 2000 a month for a small place.
