The wild tanuki has unusually large testicles

Touche~ and sorry for the displeasure. Yes tanuki's have been characteristically portrayed as an animal with that large primary characteristic, especially in some Japanese songs and the movie Pom poko, but they greatly exaggerate it for a comedic and fun reason. They aren't actually that large. In fact, they usually have it tucked in most of the time. :]
If we had to take it a step further, Tanukis are pranksters haha, so they may like to transform into a lovely attractive woman or man for fun.
