Hello, my name is kairi darkrose but you can call my Kai! Or Rose or whatever you would prefer! I am a yaoi fangirl, hence this forum, so if you don't like it or you can't deal with it then please turn around find somewhere else to satisfy your interests. For those of you like me who like yaoi and don't mind a mildly obsessive fangirl then welcome! I made this forum specifically for the discussion of different yaoi pairings and would encourage you not to be shy with your opinions. I beg you not to bring religion here because that can ruin things and offend people which I do not want. Also, be respective and don't go starting fights. Everyone is entitled to their own thoughts and opinions and nobody can change them. Just because someone has an opposite viewpoint is no reason to make it a fight. I will not hesitate to block, kick, and/or report anybody who cannot respect others.

Now, with that settled I'd like everybody to know that I want any and all discussions to be on the intellectual level and not just "I like this pairing because they're cute." Give details and possible reasons why they could be considered a pair and such. Take, for example, a pairing like SasuNaru, which is one of the popular pairings for Naruto. It's obviously not a real pairing but one who supports it could use the fact that Naruto refuses to let Sasuke just leave the village as a support. There's also their relationship with Naruto viewing Sasuke as not only a powerful rival but his very first friend, and may even call him his best friend despite Sasuke's input. Plus, most often than not close friend relationships eventually grow into something more. As in all debates, however, you should also be able to accept the facts from the other side such as Naruto's unwavering crush on Sakura or Sasuke's own personality which shoves anybody and everybody away from him in his quest to kill his brother. So please make sure you give good arguments, okay?! ^ ^

Well, whoever posts first gets to start with their own favorite pairing! If nobody shows up soon though then I'll post a pairing of my own choice :3

I understood only because it's such a common mistake. and it's such a common mistake because so many people think "close enough since you got the gist of it." I went to this thread expecting something related to actual yaoi, I was disappointed in that it was only slash related. and I was further disappointed by seeing misinformation being spread because I just don't get it, if you like something wouldn't you at least attempt to get the terminology for it right? or is that just some strange concept I got from growing up in a geek family...

No, I understand what you're getting at and I agree but the last time I made a forum like this with the correct terminology I never got a single post which is rather disappointing so in order to get some kind of response I tried a different terminology. I apologize for the disappointment but for whatever reason I can never seem to get a hold of those kinds of people who know and understand the correct terms. Plus, I've been craving good debates over slash pairings. sweatdrop

I am a yaoi fan. I used to be super obsessive but I've calmed down over the years.

My favorite slash pairings, well recently I've been reading alot of Sasunaru fanfics and Harry/tom riddle or draco malfoy fanfics. Also kingdom hearts fanfics with sora paired with riku and axel with roxas.

Actual yaoi, The only ones I can think of that I read recently are his favorite, honto yajuu and okane ga nai.

Anywho, all-time favorite is SanosukexKenshin from Rurouni Kenshin. Best friends in love, so cute! Though I gotta say, SaitoxKenshin/Battousai is interesting, simply because they've always tried to kill each other. That forbidden love thing is kinda hot.

HavocxEd from Fullmetal Alchemist. They always seem to get along well and I can see them going 'woah, wait a hot second, I think I love him!' Or something along those lines. Greed(Original or Brotherhood)xEd would be pretty cute, simply for the whole forbidden love thing again. This would be one of those pairings that would have to be VERY well argued to stick. WinryxRose for a yuri pairing. I can just see it happening at the end of the original for some reason.

ZeroxKaname of Vampire Knight. I can just see the vampire hunter overtaking the pureblood in dirty, dirty ways.

ShinboxHideki from Chobits. There has got to be some reason why Shinbo keeps inviting Hideki to the baths with him.

Red x Green from Pokemon. I think that Green follows Red around for a reason...
Ash x Gary, also from Pokemon. This one is easy. First of all, Ash hasn't been attracted to a single girl in the series. Second, there's that awkward moment where it looked like Gary had his hands down Ash's pants. I think that they would be great together. (Despite their annoying voices)
Natsu x Gray from Fairy Tail. Opposites attract.
Riku x Sora from Kingdom Hearts. I can just say one thing to this couple: AWWW.

Well I tend to stay away from FMA yaoi simply because it's so f-ing obvious Ed has the hots for Winry. Especially at the end of Brotherhood. However, if I do have to admit that I see the logic in a Havoc x Ed pairing. On the other hand I can't see much of a Greed/Ed pairing or an Envy/Ed pairing.

I take that back, Envy/Ed would be more of a completely sexual based pairing seeing how much Envy likes to torment Ed. He'd most likely be sadistic towards him too. Kind of like Mustang but I feel Mustang/Ed would be more of a tug-a-war mixed with lots and lot of complications, both external and internal.

As for Zero/Kaname, I'm partial. I can see Zero turning on him as well but in a rather... angst and violent way. In fact, that whole situation, regardless of who is on top, would just be a relationship of angst, sexual release, and a constant battle for dominance.

There are so many pairings for FMA. I'm actually not partial to Ed and Winry together at all, I think maybe because they grew up together so it sort of blends into a brother/sister sort of relationship for me. As for Brotherhood/the manga, I've never actually finished the whole thing. I've finished the original anime, so I base a lot of my pairings on that. For instance, Envy/Ed would just be so wrong considering what is revealed at the end of that series (I won't spoil it in case you haven't seen the thing), so I can't justify it at all in my head.

Mustang/Ed I can see only as being a sexual release sort of thing, or one of those abusive 'pulling rank' sort of things.

As for Zero/Kaname, the dysfunction of this pairing is actually what draws me to it.

Well hello there fellow fans of slash/BL/Shounen-ai and yaoi.
I've been around and seen a lot of BL manga's and have slashed paired many pairings.
Even a manga about talkings dicks.

My very first pairing was of course, sasunaru. Mearly because I was in a horrble faze and got swept up by the people in the anime club I joined in middle school. I was really crazy about the pairing, saying that naruto wanted sasukes d**k since he wanted him in the village and stuff.
I've grown past that though, I still ship it.
