I was torn. First I wanted to vote Legolas, just as a nod to all those years of fan girling he gave me, then I considered Gandalf, cos, well, its fricking Gandalf. No explanations needed there I think.

But then I resolved, and thought feck it, its got to be good ol' Samwise Gamgee. He just keeps so chirpy through everything, and sticks by his friend through thick and thin, and literally and figuratively picks Frodo up when he can't keep going anymore. We all need a friend like him. And without him, the story would have had a different ending. So thumbs up for Samwise (y)
