Well, I have IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome), and I was wondering if others that have it, only experience pain in the lower stomach, or sometimes upper stomach, or what?

Because I also have a chronic fear of stomach pain which doesn't make anything better... I was just wondering if IBS pains could be anywhere in your stomach... At least for you.

And what helps get rid of those stomach pains for you? I know I'll be stuck with this for the rest of my life cause there isn't a cure for it, but I was wondering if there were things to make it somewhat or a lot better. (In opinions of people with IBS, or know of people with IBS). I've read online many things but I don't wanna try anything because I read it online, I want help from people who actually have tried remedies and they have worked.

Any help, guys?
Some specialist doctors have told me I should probably see my regular doctor for IBS, though I haven't bothered to setup an appointment yet. Nothing really helps except for controlling what I eat. From what I heard, certain foods can trigger it. I guess keep an eye out on what you eat.
B12 was like a miracle drug for me when my flare-ups were tearing me apart (I have Crohn's though). Quitting pop and caffeine all together helped a lot too.

Feel better soon. I know it's the worst.

Thank you. Currently drinking a soda.(So probably gonna stop drinkin' it.) And I think spicy foods & greasy foods are triggers for me. :c

I believe spicy foods & greasy foods are triggers for me. I try to stay away from them.
There's a variety of things you can buy over the counter. Mebeverine, Hyoscine, Fybogel/Ispaghula sachets for drinks. There's also a variety of other stuff you can be prescribed by the doctor.

Diet change will help too but the correct diet for you depends on your specific symptoms.

You're welcome! And that is quite likely. I had to cut out greasy foods too. I love spicy foods but I don't have them very often. Moderation is key. Except for pop - I can never drink pop (but it's hard to miss once you realize that's what tears your body apart).
Addition: Before going to your doctor, you should go see your local pharmacist first. IBS is generally an issue of low seriousness that can be treated with over the counter medications. Pharmacists are medically trained professionals. They need to know much about the same as Doctors and are usually always available to talk to when you need to. Although they do not have the capacity to diagnose or prescribe treatment, they can provide you with a lot of the information you need to know and direct you where to go next.

Thanks for all the help. c:

My DR just diagnosed me with this three weeks ago. Turns out I had an appendicitis.

I went to the hospital with gas symptoms that had my upper stomach bloated and was having trouble with constipation and diarrhea all in the same week. My blood work was normal. We did a catscan. My appendix was swollen 3X's its normal size. I could have died from a mis-diagnosis.

I did not have the typical symptoms. No pain on my right side. Just the gas and bloating and bathroom irregularities.

Drs have been telling me for years it must be IBS.
It has probably been my appendix all along.
