"Fairon... right. I didn't realize that we were best friends."

Calder smiled at her. "You are an amusing little thing."

"Why thank you fish friend," she beamed. "I think you are dandy too."

"Dandy. I'm dandy," he grinned.

She smiled at him.

"I'm Riven and this is Vagen."

"Calder. Not a fish. Lizard."

"Pierce. Human."

"Lizard, fish. It all taste the same." She ate happily, swinging her feet.

"Your appetite really knows no bounds does it?"

Fairon shook her head while chewing.

Once they finished eating, they all sat back and relaxed.

"Classes are about to start." They all stood and headed down the halls, stopping at storage lockers to get their books.

Being new, Fairon had none yet, but that didn't bother her.

Kor sat back in the classroom, his desk away from the others due to the teacher's insistence. One does not separate a Kunari from their blades, so he was granted special permission to keep his weapon in class, but at the first sign of trouble there were Alliance officers ready for him.

It was quiet as everyone sat...until the newest walked in. She looked at Kor with a grin and pushed her desk towards his. The sound was awful, metal on metal and everyone covered their ears. She sat down and smiled at him.

"No, Farion, is it? You need to stay over here," the teacher told her.
