Alexis was glad that they found a rhythm to read to her. Cassia was interested in what they were showing her which was nice and a good sign of what might come. When the story finished she took Cassia so Jason could grab her some pajamas and they could make her ll comfy for bed. She seemed to be a bit sleepy but not quite yet, she might need to just lay down to actually fall asleep. "Do you want to put her in?" Alexis asked with a smile and held her up for him if he wanted to since he always wanted to hold Cassia. Alexis would get her time with her tomorrow though.

Jason grinned as Alexis held her out for him to take when it was time to actually put the baby in the bed. He took Cassia into his arms and walked her to the crib, where he carefully lowered her down. He tucked her blanket around her body and then stood still starting at the little angel they had brought into the world. Everything about her was a miracle. A beautiful, blessed miracle. "She's so perfect." Jason cooed as he watched her.

Alexis watched him carefully put Cassia into the crib and smiled brightly, he was so loving while he did it. It was beautiful to see. When he stepped back and they both looked down at her she nodded, "She is perfect. More than I could have imagined. I would do anything to make sure she had an easier life than we did." Alexis never wanted to see Cassia go through what they did. The pain and the heart break along with all the mental torment of dealing with demons and even just humans. It was a life that was cruel and she wanted to spoil Cassia with a perfect life.

She would always know that she was safe and that they would always love her. No matter what happened she would be taken care of and never be alone. Alexis understood a little bit about how parenting would be like, why parents are protective and do certain things. It made so much sense.

Alexis looked to Jason and smiled at him as she thought about this, "I love you so much. I can't believe we made something so perfect. I just want to give her everything and make her the happiest child in the world." She would be crying if she didn't tell herself not to. For some reason tonight was the night where all of this really hit her. They got to do something that a normal family would do like watch a movie and read a book to the child. Her parents weren't here wondering if she was okay and she wasn't worrying about when the baby would come. Now they were a family with a beautiful little girl and it really hit her in a wonderful way.

Jason didn't know how much time they had, or how everything would go in the future. Satan wasn't ever going to stop working on them, but that didn't mean they couldn't fight back. They just had to see how the world received them. He would do everything he could to make Cassia's life much easier though.

e moved over to wrap his arm around Alexis' shoulders as they both looked down at their baby. "Well, she's off to a good start with a mother like you." He told her with a smile, hugging his wife close.

He leaned in to press his lips to her cheek as she expressed her feelings. "I love you too. We're gonna do everything we can for her." With Alexis by his side and his daughter in front of him, Jason felt like he was the luckiest man alive. He'd never had so much before. It was amazing to think about.

He had a real family, who loved him, and he loved them. And for once, that wasn't going to change. He could have them forever. There was no curse of immortality tearing them away from him.

This was real. After thousands of years, he finally had a real, happy ending.
