You don't mess with a southern girl… especially one with a knife. .
Jamie Lynn Spears was eating with a friend at the Pita Pit in Hammond, Louisiana, when a fight suddenly broke out inside the restaurant. In surveillance footage obtained by TMZ, Britney's younger sister — dressed in a mini-skirt, denim jacket, and short black boots — can be seen trying to keep the peace after rescuing her friend who was caught in the middle of the brawl.
Jamie Lynn, 23, who is mother to 6-year-old daughter Maddie, helped extract her girlfriend from the middle of the altercation and proceeded to march behind the counter (quite matter-of-factly) where she grabbed a seven-inch long kitchen knife and wielded it around in order to break up the group fight.
And it worked!
The owner of that particular Pita Pit location, Jack J. Brighenti, talked to E! News about the incident.
"The events that happened occurred after 2 a.m. this past Saturday night just before we closed," he explained. "A group of males got into an altercation and for some reason Jamie Lynn Spears ran behind the counter and picked up a bread knife. Our management called the police immediately and thankfully nothing else happened. Our passion and focus is and always will be to serve the Hammond community healthy pitas!"
Hopefully, Jamie Lynn's next pita will be on the house.
