Lol 30 mana just to deal 50 damage to each unit in a region? If that was the point of the card, that would be a waste. xd

Hi there,

The point is not only to damage, but also to remove control of a portal from your opponent. So, the best way to us this would be if either you think the 50 points will outright kill the units on the portal or if by following it up with an attack of your own you can take them out. By doing so you not only grab a portal of your own, but take one from your opponent. And sometimes that can be more important that killing the units.

This can turn that game where they are 1 portal away from winning to their needing 2 and your being 1 step closer to winning!

Nuu it's very useful :3

Best way to do it is on a purple portal that you own. Make sure that it's not on the border, make sure you have no units on it (or they will get damaged). Cast the spell, summon any unit on that portal. The spell will go off first, unscoring it for both parties, then your summoned unit will reclaim it, scoring it for just you.

Your newly summoned unit won't be damaged.
It wouldn't let me target a portal I controlled last I tried it.. crying
surprised I guess if you can only target enemy controlled portals it's less useful, you can still send units there to fight it out but no guarantee you won't get pinned.

Was it on a home portal? Were there units on it?
You can't cast it on an enemy's home portal and yes there were units on it.

If there were enemy units that survived the 50 dmg attack then they would take back the portal after having it be unscored.

Better to use it on your own portals that the enemy also had at one stage.

I think its a great card with many interesting uses. Though to me its the sort of thing you only have one of in your deck and save to use near the end to turn the game if needed.

For costing thirty Mana, it should just push enemies that are on that Portal targeted back as though they had retreated and not allow any Units to be summoned on said Portal space. It makes no sense to use otherwise, which is why it will continue to rot in my card inventory.
