Okay, so I would like some opinions/advice about this issue that I'm having.
For around two months now I have been constantly nauseous. Normally I will feel slightly nauseated in the mornings or if I overeat. However starting around the end of November I have been nauseated all the time. If I don't eat, I eventually start to feel a little sick. If I do eat, no matter the amount, I feel terribly nauseated afterwards that lasts for a good 4-6 hours. The nausea is pretty bad, but I never actually throw up. This is the only symptom that I have even noticed. Now I'm only to eat around once a day and even then I still feel sick. I've already seen the doctor and I was told to eat some bran and take vitamins to see if it made a difference. It didn't. I'm going back in a couple of days. I also know that i'm not pregnant so that isn't the cause. Could stress be whats causing this? I'm sorry if this doesn't make much sense. I'm pretty confused on what could be wrong with me.

Additional Details
It gradually increased. It started out that I realized that eating after I got off of work late made me nauseated the next morning. After this I stopped eating after work. Then I noticed that my appetite had started to fade to being hungry only around twice a day. Then The nausea started happening no matter when I ate or how much I ate. Though sweeter food doesn't make me feel as sick as other types. Now i'm only managing to eat around once a day.
I have tried sprite (I don't drink any other carbonated drinks) and that sometimes makes it worse. I'm not taking vitamins because I keep forgetting. Nor medications.

Any thoughts/questions on the matter would be very appreciated! Thanks surprised
What types of food do you normally eat when you do eat?
Are you eating Fruits and Veggies at all?
First of all, I would say to avoid carbonated drinks. There could be many possible reasons as to why you're feeling nauseous that your doctor may not be able to pinpoint the exact reason. If it always gets worse when you eat, then it might be a food allergy. I don't want to go into a whole lecture about what foods you should or shouldn't avoid based on my opinion without knowing everything. (I didn't get a PhD in Nutrition.) BUT, you can try your own "elimination" diet in the safety of your own home if you want. This helped me a lot in figuring out my own issues. You said it also worsens with sweet food, right? Is it anything sweet like fruit or just the processed kind? What is your overall diet like most of the time?
Hey oddsoul212,
I'm sorry to hear you are not well. What is interesting is, about two years ago I was in a very similar situation with the nausea and loss of appetite. I hardly ate for several months until my doctor told me there was nothing wrong, and whatever the problem was, it was probably all psychological. After that, I attempt to rebuild my eating habits from scratch. I made sure to eat small amounts consistently at specific points throughout the day. While it wasn't a lot a food, I was able to train myself to eat again. While your situation may be very different I hope you are able to find a way and feel better soon. Best of luck.

Fruit not so much. But vegetable wise when I do manage to eat I do have some in my diet. My diet is the same as it's always been. Overall I eat pretty healthy.

Sweet foods don't cause me to feel as nauseated as opposed to other types. Any type of sweet food. Umm I only drink water. Sprite or tea every now and then. My diet over the last month and a half has been pretty terrible since I'm only eating maybe once a day. But for instance one of the main things that I have eaten is caprese salad. Which is fresh mozzarella and tomatoes. I've been pretty much eating home cooked dinners (veggies included) and I haven't eaten fast food in around two months.

I've actually had a lot of stress the past couple of months so that could maybe be what is causing my nausea. If the doctor is clueless tomorrow then I fear that stress is my problem. Which means I have to probably take the same steps that you did. I'm sorry you went through something like my issue. It's definitely not fun. Thankyou for your insight though. smile
Sounds like celiac. (I have celiac, its actually fairly common, every 1 out of 144 people in the US have it among other gut problems and many are undiagnosed) Diatomaceous Earth has been a godsend!! You gotta do full paleo while your healing your gut - dairy alright but no grains. grains are very irritating to the gut and digestive tract. and by the way, CORN is a grain not a vegetable!

among that keep in mind that celiac test is highly notorious for being innacurate, and it often comes with other food sensitivies as well, it can also prevent absorbtion of nutrients to the body. try the paleo diet or gaps diet, bone broth is great for gut healing too.

Sprite isn't going to help. When I get nauseous, I'll drink Ginger Ale or 7up, depending on what's available. Normally I wouldn't encourage drinking carbonated drinks, but those two, especially the Ginger Ale does help if you need a quick fix.

This is what I was talking about with the "elimination" diet. I have celiac and many other food allergies, and paleo has saved my life. sweatdrop I don't want to cause any arguments, but really look at your diet carefully. It's not just about eating healthy. It's about avoiding food your body doesn't agree with (allergies).

also, if she has a food intolerance, like one to sugar, that would actually make it much worse.
and you can develop that any time in life apparently.

I'm not a doctor; this is not medical advice.
Did the dr give you any answers?

Did the dr give you any answers?

The doctor said that it wasn't celiac or any food allergies. I also don't have an ulcer or anything due to the lack of pain. Basically my doctor didn't know. She prescribed me random medicines to see if it fixed me, and if not then she will finally send me to a specialist. Her doctor opinion was that it was either A-stress or B- something out of her knowledge.
