Good luck! Last year I went a month or two with no sugar and low carbs... I lost some 20 pounds, but I was just too tempted by sweets to stick to it.


Sorry for the late reply, I was away !
I was the ability to stop something on the moment and to never touch it again
Like the soda, I stopped it like 4 months ago and I dont even drink it anymore ! if after 40 days my weight loss is positive, i'll keep going !

I would suggest not limiting yourself to 40 days and continuing as long as you can, but having a cheat food once a week. It's a lifestyle change, not a diet. smile Good luck!

My uncle lost fifty pounds in seven months cutting down sugars. I don't need to lose that much, but would like to slim down a little. And be healthy.

I dont stop ALL the sugar
But reducing it to like 90% is good enough
But yeah, I stop eating desserts and chocolate and all
But to lose weight I exercise 30 minutes a day and eat less, I mean, no snack or extra meals.
And I stop drinking soda or any drink with sugar in it, so I only drink water.

Yeah, I could use someone to talk to, too. I started an accountability thread (because I'm a depressive person and sometimes lack motivation to exercise).

I know counting calories is a pain, but it helps me to check them. Which you're probably already doing.

I dont count calories !! Because I dont like counting it.
All I do is giving my maximum everytime I exercise, and I see the progress smile
And I like to listen to people problems
