Real chinese food is greasy. Lol.
Most of the food is fried/stir-fried.
Most of the food is fried/stir-fried.
I edited my post.
Also, you should have that bowl for yourself.
And the number of stir-fried food dishes outweighs the steamed dishes. Even in some soups, there is oil floating on the top.
In comparison to "american chinese food" or fake chinese food. The oil in it is much, much smaller in proportion. Sure all fried foods will have some oil. But if you eat some authentic chinese food which is realistically portioned and not just meat and carbohydrates you'll see that it's nowhere near as greasy. Especially if you're a big vegetable fan like me. I love steamed vegi's. Not to mention the oil's used in some more traditional chinese foods are extracted from healthier sources unlike their chain restaurant counterparts.
When I think greasy I think fried chicken, gravy, bacon, sausage, etc. Authentic chinese food is nowhere near on that level so it's not even remotely greasy to me.
Most of the precooked foods you eat have some sort of oil byproduct in it. Which is a ton and that's sort of worrying.
