Aww, thank you! heart I just experiment and read online. But I've been baking artisan bread for years so I suspect that helps at least a bit.

They're really so completely different that I don't prefer one over the other. Bread is something I can make in my sleep standing on my head. It's easy, it makes my house smell wonderful, it's beautiful, I can easily make it in small quantities, and it only takes me about an hour of actual work (as a general rule). Cakes take me way longer than that and because they're such large scale projects, I always have to have somewhere I can take them. Plus I haven't been baking cakes for long enough to have stand-by recipes so I usually have to try out three or four for each flavor I want to make. It ends up being a ton of work. It's fun and I enjoy it but it's not a quick little project that I can do on a lark.

And I have no clue what that item is. sweatdrop
