As title! Im running some competitions for my University which celebrates all our students, who come from all over the world, so I thought it would be nice to run competitions based on celebrations across the world!

For example, the main celebrations and holidays in my country are:

Christmas
New Year
Pancake day
Easter
Halloween

(to name a few)!

Anyone got any suggestions? What do you celebrate in your country? What are the main holidays? c:

Here in Greenland, January 6 is Mitaartut. Children dress up as little witches and wizards and go around knocking on people's doors. lol

Christmas and New Year's are also popular holidays here. We don't do Halloween though.

i live in scotland.

main holidays = christmas/boxing day, new year/hogmanay, easter

less main = valentines day, halloween, guy fawkes night, pancake day, st andrews day, robert burns day, chinese new year.
i know there are others but those are really all people celebrate in the area i'm from. i guess some people here celebrate the queen's birthday and st patrick/george/david's days.

I think we mostly have the same holidays. There are a few on that list which we don't really celebrate in England though o:
