oh lol. Usually general greetings would be Ni Hao , thank you is Xie Xie and if leaving then Zai Jian .
Yes is shì and no is bú shì. Correct is duì, and not correct is bú duì. Excuse me in chinese is duì bu qǐ.
For shopping... How much is duō shǎo qián [Qian is money]. And I would like is wǒ yào.
If you don't understand someone then you say wǒ tīng bù dǒng [Which means I don't understand] Ppl in china do know some english cause they do start learning english First Grade.
